Our voices need to be heard from having both years of VCE put in jeopardy without much consideration for study or mental health

I've spent both years of my VCE experience in and out of lockdowns, and I want the struggle and efforts to be recognized

I'm signing because the lockdowns have affected my learning. I don't even have enough time to finish chemistry before the end of the year, just as one example. Our poor teacher is stressing just to try and find the time to finish the classwork. She already had to re-teach us a lot of last years content because the year 11 teacher didn't teach us at all over last years online learning.

The class of 2021 deserve some consideration.

I am signing because, I like my fellow 2021 year 12s have been greatly effected by covid not only from last year but this year as well. Last years school experience has rippling effects this year on our schooling. We deserve to be looked at as well, our mental health, our study designs, our time period and our special consideration. Motivation is at an all time low for many, we need help.

I’m signing because I am one of the students who has been greatly impacted these two years. A lack of proper , on school preparation in 2020 has already set us students behind, and to continuously go between online and on site learning, it is awfully difficult to adjust. Please help us, and ease our stress levels and mental health. Please make it right.

mikaela borg (melbourne, 2021-07-16)

I am signing because I have been affected by this problem severely and it isn’t getting the recognition it deserves

Chelsea Agland (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#23

I am in year 12 and feel as though it is necessary for the hardship we have faced in our overall VCE study

Steph Natoli (Hughesdale, 2021-07-16)

We have had a tough year and whole VCE and we need the support

Year 12 VCE

#31

this year has been really hard on us, expecially coming into vce from last year being in lockdown for majority of unit 1/2

alahna arnason (leongatha, 2021-07-16)

#33

I’m signing because both years of VCE has been majorly disrupted by covid 19 and the online schooling did no help for those already struggling with the unfortunate events of the passing or sick family members or for anyone and everyone that finds in person learning more helpful as well as less school days due to teachers preparing for lockdown and covid cleaning days.

Tobi Johnson (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

I am currently a year 12 student who is studying VCE, it has been a constant battle, not only due to the inconsistencies this year as well as last year, but due to the fact that COVID isn’t just effecting VCE students on an educational level, but greatly effecting us mentally, we are forced to face the reality that our end of year ATAR possibly will not be our very best because of circumstances we can do nothing about. But VCAA does have the opportunity to take away a small portion of this burden, whether that be eliminating a section of the study design, or shortening the length of the exam. I do believe VCAA have the ability to make the adjustments necessary, to account for the struggles the future generation are currently having to put up with.

Megan Fletcher (Nichols Point, 2021-07-16)

I’m signing this petition as the class of 2021 have had a hard year 11 and 12 with many disruptions with lockdowns, we deserve special consideration

Isabelle Gauci (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

The Covid-19 pandemic has affected my studies greatly and having the mix of home learning, and just the stress and anxiety of living through a pandemic has made it much harder for me to learn and achieve good grades.

Bridie Francis (Warrandyte, 2021-07-16)

This year has been so hard - I might argue more than last year. The constant disruptions due to the small snap lockdowns has greatly affected our learning throughout this year

Bethany Sims (Mooroolbark, 2021-07-16)

#46

I’m signing because we’ve had it harder then class of 2020. Yes they studied yr12 in remote. But we studied yr11 in remote so we missed basic fundamentals of the VCE program and then have continued to be in and out of lockdown disrupting our yr 12 studies more then one bigger constant lockdown

Amy Cheesley (Bairnsdale , 2021-07-16)

Covid has had an enormous impact on my VCE in both years 11 and 12.

Aurelia Milan (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#51

i’m signing because I, along with heaps of others, have been greatly affected by covid-19. my whole unit 1&2 alongside 3&4 have both been interrupted by lockdown after lockdown. I did HHD early in 2020 and my score was affected and reflected on the impacts of lockdown, going from an A average to a D. Although I am provided with great support, nothing can help the class of 2021 get through this mess that covid has created, without the support of VCAA. 2020 class were appointed extra help, and I believe 2021 class should be provided with the same, if not more.

Thankyou.

Elisa Hall (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

Class of 21 deserve considerations, our 2 year vce experience has been completed constantly in and out of lockdowns. Yes 2020 had it hard but this is now our 5th lockdown and we get no considerations!?? Talk about discrimination and inequality from VCAA

Sami Williams (Echuca , 2021-07-16)

#57

I’m signing because out whole vce has been screwed over by constant lockdowns due to Covid-19. Not just year 12 but also year 11. We need some sort of support and we don’t seem to be getting any

Courtney Scott (Seville, 2021-07-16)

#70

The class of 2021 needs support

Conor Cheshire (Avondale Heights, 2021-07-16)

#75

I too am a student who wholeheartedly agrees with this statement, our lead-up to VCE (2020) was heavily impacted by lockdowns; which has set up our 2021 to be more difficult.

Will Fong (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#76

Because I’m a year 12 student doing vce exams and it effects me

Milo Burgess-mulder (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

We have been disadvantaged for two years now of online learning, which not only has affected our learning and ability to remember content, but also has viciously degraded our mental health. What we need right now is support and compassion, not more hardship and stress

Ella Dockeary Doyle (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#94

I’m signing this because although last year was a long period of lockdown it was known and students stayed in lockdown. However this year we are continually going from home to back to school then back at home online learning with very little preparation. We have been effected for 2 years and with this our learning has been effected. Even though last year was hard this year is equally as hard and the study design should be altered

Katja Munns (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#96

Being in and out of lockdowns for both year 11 and 12 is so draining. We have not been adequately prepared so the study design should be cut. Even if schools have already taught it this doesn’t matter as it can be not assessable on the exam to make it easier for us

Olivia Randello (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#98

being class of ‘21 has truely shown how hard life can get. After doing 2 vce subjects last year in lockdown and continuing another 4 this year I believe that students should be given more recognition for all the hardships we’ve faced in the last two years. It is truely is a disgrace if VCAA does not grant us any extra increments.

natalie montalto (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#102

I’m signing because we were disadvantaged last year, missing out on content and have experienced constant disruptions this year.

Daniella Forza (Victoria , 2021-07-16)

#111

Last years year 12 had a proper yr 11 to prepare themselves and our year is living in constant uncertainty as well as increased mental health issues, decreased knowledge of the future and MAJORLY disturbed learning with home distractions

Charlotte Verplak (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#117

This year has been full of interruptions, students have already been put under a lot of stress constantly coming in and out of lockdowns, witnessing friends and family struggle to earn money through the many restrictions put in place. The least vcaa can do is to ease some stress through this difficult time for vce students.

Cheng Hue (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#122

I’m signing because I’ve extremely struggled this year and would think myself along with the whole class of 2021 would benefit from altered study designs

Jaimi McRae (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#125

I’m in year 12 and we honestly need this.

Olivia Kelly (Warrnambool, 2021-07-16)

#134

Because of the major impact COVID-19 had had on the graduating class of 2021, the year 12s have endured 2 full disrupted years of lockdowns.

Chloe Cester (Mornington Peninsula , 2021-07-16)

#138

the final exams should be pushed back due to the the emotional impacts of the covid 19 lockdown which effects 2021 graduates emensly

Anthony Pasinetti (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#141

I believe the study design should be changed. BUT EXAMS SHOULD NOT BE PUSHED BACK!

Elena S (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#143

Because they should help us!!!

Saskia Rowe (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#144

last year was so hard for me and so unmotivating and i was ready to have a smooth year 12 yet it’s still being disrupted by covid lockdowns and as i didn’t have proper education last year i do not have enough background knowledge to achieve my best

alysha saveski (melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#145

I feel that reduces the work in the study design would be more efficient that pushing back exams!!! Just like they did last year especially as they just had online for most of it so could adapt whereas 2021 students are having to constantly change from online to face to face which is much more disruptive that circumstances for the year 12s last year. Therefore it would only be fair to reduce the workload.

Sarah Caine (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#150

Class of 2021 haven’t been considered for VCE assistance even though we missed most of year 11 and have had interrupted year 12.

Eliza Caldow (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#154

This year has been just has rough, with constant lockdowns that stopped then started again

Jonah Vitetta (Melbourne , 2021-07-16)

#157

Affected by COVID-19 in both 2020 AND 2021, the Class of 2021 needs VCAA's support

Lucy B (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#160

Would much rather have an altered study design than pushed back exams

Isla Gale (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#188

Yes this year 2021 has been hard with multiple on and off unpredictable lockdowns, but we were also greatly affected last year which has lead in to this year. Our whole 2 years of VCE has been heavily disrupted.

Catherine Zouzounis (Melbourne, 2021-07-16)

#192

I am signing this because I agree as a year 12 student, the study design needs to be changed
