I’m signing because this man is inspirational. He is integral to this community and I believe he NEEDS to stay in this position. Our students and our children need people like this man to move our country forward. He is educated, kind, driven, and encompasses so many qualities that I never had in a principal. I hope by the time my daughter gets to his high school that he is still there.

Caroline Rivera (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

I support Dr Whitfield’s actions to bring the community together. I feel others are trying to string together pieces to fit their own agenda and not the good of the whole.

Trisha Goins (Grapevine , 2021-08-02)

#207

I support transparency in education and Dr. Whitfield has been nothing but a transparent positive leader!

I support Dr. Whitfield. He is an EXCELLENT educator and is being attacked because of his race. GCISD is better than that!

#213

Absolutely love Dr. Whitfield

Paige Gregoire (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

#214

I am signing because the attack on this man is unconscionable.

As a taxpayer and citizen of this district, I expect GCISD administrative leaders to make it perfectly clear that the racist slander and smear campaign against Dr. Whitfield will not be tolerated. I expect the leaders to publically support the continued employment of this man.

Dorothy Vidal (Euless, 2021-08-02)

#215

I’m signing this petition because we need more leaders and educators like Dr. Whitfield.

Andrew Fiser (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

Dr. Whitfield is by far the best principal my kids have ever had and has always gone above and beyond to make each student felt seen and heard. He's a shining example of true leadership and I proudly support him.

Britney Bouldin (Euless, 2021-08-02)

#225

I want my support for Dr. Whitfield noted. He should not be fired based on unacceptable mischaracterizations made by people at the recent board meeting. He should continue his strong, positive, and inclusive leadership at CHHS!

Kimberly Rogers (Colleyville , 2021-08-02)

#227

I am signing this because it is wrong what is happening to Dr. Whitfield. Enough is enough. I am ashamed of people in our district. GCISD is better than this!!!

Lesley Tran (Colleyville, 2021-08-02)

#229

I’m signing this petition because my family and I know first hand what Dr. Whitfield is dealing with. I have been in GCISD district since 2006 and my family have been a victim of racism, threats and disrespect by the board members, the superintendent, staff and other parents. This is not what GCISD use to stand for, but over the years under the wrong leadership they have lost their way. We have to do better! We cannot keep sweeping racism under the rug and firing people because they are another race. I am grateful that I have a voice and I wouldn’t allow them to give me some papers and ignore what was happening to my daughter. Dr. Whitfield you’re not along! My family and I stand with you.

Nicole Kornbacher (Grapevine , 2021-08-02)

#234

I'm signing because I met Dr. Whitfield at the NEDRP conference in 2019 and met his beautiful students! He was the model of grace, love and compassion. He deserves better treatment than what I saw in the June boardmeeting of GCISD.

Michael Hinesly (Alvarado, Texas, 2021-08-02)

#235

I was wronged in the district and I worked for them 4 years due to racism. I feel his hurt you don’t see it coming.

Regina Jones (Euless, 2021-08-02)

#236

I taught and coached at CHHS for over 10 years. I now live in New York, but it saddens me my former district has turned into a place where racism is openly displayed at board meetings. I have heard great things about Dr. Whitfield.

Michelle Kellen (Slingerlands, 2021-08-02)

#237

Honestly I’m signing because no one should be treated this way.

Amber Robinson (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

“I’m not a racist anti-intellectual. Dr. James Whitfield is an asset to CHHS and to GCISD. His commitment to our students, their goals, their future, and his honesty about life are what we need more of. We're lucky to have him.”

Josh Maxwell (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

#243

Dr Whitfield exemplifies everything one could ask for a principal! Inclusive, supportive, professional, and adored by the students. We are beyond fortunate to have his service in our school and in our district! Thank you Dr Whitfield!

#252

I am signing because I have never met more of an exceptional leader than Dr. Whitfield. The work he has done for CHHS and GCISD are unparalleled to any other faculty or administrative member in our district. He makes us better. Better students, better leaders, better listeners, better lovers, better people. In my 13 years as a student in GCISD, my one year as a student under his leadership was incomparable to any other school year prior. He is the change that GCISD needs to continue to grow and flourish as a district, and for CHHS to grow as a school. I am signing because Dr. Whitfield is by large and far the best thing that will ever happen to GCISD.

Liza Gonzalez (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

#254

Dr. Whitfield is a role model and educator who I support and respect! Thank you for your work with our students and their families for a well rounded education.

Karen Deakin (Colleyville, 2021-08-02)

#256

I’m signing this as a recent GCISD resident, voter and public school supporter. The attacks on Dr. Whitfield’s character are dangerous and unacceptable. I stand for truth, decency, respect, and kindness. I believe Dr. Whitfield has earned a strong defense by the board of trustees and administration. Do the right thing.

Townsend Davies (Trophy Club, 2021-08-02)

#257

I know Dr. Whitfield from his early days when I mentored students at North Ridge Middle. He is not the CRT activist people claim he is. He loves kids sincerely, he is intelligent, and it would be a huge mistake to fire him. The character of his opponents came to light in their backdoor attempt to oust him. The character of the school district will be seen in how they respond to such underhanded tactics. I hope you will assess the situation by hard evidence of proven character over time, not by the outbursts over tendentious allegations that occur in a moment.

Michael Rowntree (Hurst, 2021-08-02)

#259

I’m from one of the very first graduating classes of CHHS and am dismayed how bigoted this administration and the school board has become. Dr. Whitfield has done an outstanding job, and it’s shameful he was urged to remove a picture of he and his wife from online because they’re in an interracial relationship.

Chris Sandlin (Euless, 2021-08-02)

#260

Dr. Whitfield is a tremendous asset to the GCISD community. I’m glad he’s my son’s principal.

Lindsey Ward (Euless, 2021-08-02)

Josh King (Colleyville, Tx, 2021-08-02)

#276

I’m signing this petition because I’ve watched Dr Whitfield over the last few years and each time I’ve been blown away by his leadership, kindness, love and encouragement of every single person he encounters. He is the type of man you want your sons to look up to and your daughters to marry. All three of my children have been blessed to have him in leadership during their time time in GCISD. He accepts, encourages and champions all students - never looking at their abilities, their status, race or religion. If you want to judge his character, simply rewatch the graduation ceremony for the CHHS class of 2021 - every special needs child who graduated this year ran straight into his arms after they received their diploma. He is a class act. We need more Dr Whitfields in our students lives, in our communities and in the world. I stand with Dr Whitfield

Heidi Miller (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

I support Dr. Whitfield!

Margaret Ferris (Grapevine, 2021-08-02)

#292

I believe in Dr. Whitfield, not only as a positive campus leader to students, staff and parents at CHHS but as a community leader by making time for and treating every individual with respect just as he would want to be treated. The inconsiderate example of a person I witnessed by Stetson was more defamation of character with no facts to back up his slander of Dr. Whitfield.

Valerie Kunert (Grapevine , 2021-08-02)

#298
