We ALL stand with Whitfield.

An outstanding role model for our kids.
Family man and mentor to so many.

This is an exceptional HUMAN.

Crystal Laubhan (Grapevine , 2021-08-04)

#809

I believe in this man and what he has to offer this school district. He is a positive influence on our kids and their growth! Please keep him at CHHS as if he were to leave, it would be a detriment to our students.

Rae Martin (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

Dr. James Whitfield and wife Kerrie have been long time friends of mine!! And the things that have been said about James couldnt be Further From The Truth! Colleyville should consider themselves lucky to have Dr. James Whitfield as their principal!! He is truly One of a kind.. one of the best leaders/teachers, man of god that I know!!
I can only pray and hope that my young son has a mentor/leader even close to what Dr. James Whitfield is to his students!! The people saying stuff clearly DONT EVEN KNOW him... AT ALL!!! Whitfields, I love yall!

Candice Black (North Richland Hills, 2021-08-04)

#819

Dr. Whitfield has brought nothing but joy inclusivity among all students at CHHS. He cares so deeply about every student, including their growth, their education, and their wellbeing. I can't imagine CHHS without him.

Avery Kobes (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

#820

I support Dr Whitfield.

Michelle Jordan (Fort Worth, 2021-08-04)

#825

I stand up against racism and bigotry!

Geraldine David (San Diego, 2021-08-04)

#827

I believe that the pictures just show a beautiful couple in love. There is nothing distasteful about them. There is too much hate, too much envy around us.

Maria Zapata (Corona, CA, 2021-08-04)

#828

I care about my community and so does Dr Whitfield! You only need to have one discussion with him to understand how caring and loving he really is.

James Yanes (Colleyville, 2021-08-04)

#829

This is nothing but a racist attack on an upstanding educator and his family. I stand with Dr. James Whitfield!

Kellye Kirkpatrick (Ft Worth ISD, 2021-08-04)

#832

This picture is beautiful and has nothing to do with how he runs the school.

Sandy Pumphrey (Baltimore, 2021-08-04)

#839

Dr. Whitfield is a dedicated person who you can clearly see he loves working with kids and the staff around him.

Ismery Reyes (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#842

I’m signing this because he literally is so good with us students and he even is close with the staff . I really think it’s stupid to fire him just because he talked about racism like he wasn’t saying anything bad . Me as a student I think he is doing a wonderful job he cares for what he does good with us students understands us this is just RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Daniela Reyes (Euless , 2021-08-04)

#845

I am signing because Dr. Whitfield is a phenomenal leader and educator who pours his heart into education each and every day.

Elyse Hahne (Colleyville, 2021-08-04)

#852

I’m signing this because Dr.whitfield deserves all our support during this time.

caroline johnson (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#853

There’s absolutely nothing wrong with the photos Principal Whitfield had on his personal social media. The racists are just angry because it shows a loving interracial marriage. The racist people bothered by the photos need to look at themselves and ask themselves why it bothers them so much!

Juliana Larson (Bellingham , 2021-08-04)

#856

This is an injustice. These are beautiful photos of a husband and wife. It does not reflect negatively on the family nor the school district, and why would a show of healthy and appropriate affection between a married couple be viewed in any light other than positive. It is wrong that a professional who seeks to educate children has to be subjected to this for no other reason than bigotry.

Ann Lemelle (Dallas, 2021-08-04)

#857

I went to Colleyville and I support doctor Whitfield he was great, never had any problems with him

Anil Saeed (Colleyville, 2021-08-04)

#858

It’s my moral obligation to speak up and speak out against injustice wherever it my hide or reside.

Kelli Gray (Quilpué , 2021-08-04)

#859

I request that Dr. Whitfield's contract as is remain in effect.

Deborah LOFTON (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#861

i’m signing this because I know that Dr. James Whitfield is a good principal and a good influence on the school, he believes that change must be made to our school to allow people to be represented equally and have equal opportunities in our school district, he has done a great job with Heritage middle School and he has continue to do a great job at Colleyville heritage high school.

Jadon Chiselita (Grapevine , 2021-08-04)

#867

What mr clark said was unacceptable

Randee Stiles (Grapevine , 2021-08-04)

#869

I am a concerned GCISD parent. The children of our community deserve a leader such as Dr. Whitfield. And unwarranted and underlying racist attacks cannot be tolerated.

Kathryn Krause (Colleyville , 2021-08-04)

#875

I’m signing because Dr Whitfield has proven to be an honorable leader with an impeccable record. People from all over sing praises about his leadership. It is clear that what happened at the board meeting was, not only completely uncalled for, but also fueled by racism. I stand with Dr Whitfield and pray he has a long tenure in GCISD.

Allysson Stanford (Mansfield , 2021-08-04)

#879

He has a right to post what he wants on his personal account. It in no way showcases any negativity. He is showing love and admiration for his wife and we need more of that.

Tamara Smith (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#880

I WILL STAND WITH HIM BECAUSE HE STOOD WITH ME. WE HAVE TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER IN THIS WORLD.

Warren Cheadle (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#882

I believe all are created equal in the eyes of God, and no one person should be measured in the public eye by the past actions of others. While the societal opinion is that of “once a (insert descriptive text here), always a...” is an EASY option for most, I live with the belief and hope for all persons’ ability to overcome life’s innate challenges and societal obstacles through DIFFICULT choices. This philosophy has served me well in my own life. The apparent political persecution of a community leader is, quite frankly, embarrassing and sad for such a notable District in my home area. I stand in support of Dr. Whitfield and any educator who has shown nothing but a mission to serve and elevate the success of young people in their community.

Meredith Hailey (Fort Worth, 2021-08-04)

#883

Dr. Whitfield is being unfairly attacked and criticized because of the color of his skin.

Marinne Cloward (Colleyville, 2021-08-04)

#884

The standards educators must meet to remain employed are becoming increasingly more & more demanding & outlandish. As long as there is no question of illegal activity, there is no reason whatsoever for educators’ personal & private lives to be scrutinized and policed like they are today. Just because we’re teachers doesn’t mean we’re not human.

Halle Brne (Frankfort, 2021-08-04)

#888

I support Dr. Whitfield

Cody Loyd (Grapevine , 2021-08-04)

#893

My wife and I are an interracial couple. These two people are in a loving, committed relationship that goes beyond race, creed or color. This should be celebrated and embraced. Not marginalized and ostracized.

Jason Allen (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

Dr. Whitfield has left a lasting impression on me, and #IStandWithDrWhitfield

Hannah Nagib (Colleyville, 2021-08-04)

#896

This attack on Dr. Whitfield is unwarranted and rooted in bigotry.

Kirsten Bosilikwa (Grand Prairie , 2021-08-04)

#902

I am shocked and saddened that a beautiful photo of a husband and wife was targeted. Other than mixed race, which IMO is an extraordinary and wonderful thing, what on earth is wrong with it? My 16 yr old white daughter is dating a fellow student who is from Rwanda. Their skin colors are strikingly different, and their relationship is wonderful. I would be appalled if my daughter was harassed on any social media for pictured with her boyfriend. Dr. Whitfield’s picture should not only stay, but those who questioned it should apologize and educate themselves.

Rebecca Young Coon (Fort worth, 2021-08-04)

#903

Dr. Whitfield is the best principal my son has ever had. The fact that he is amazing as a principal should be reason for celebration and his job should ever be at risk. CHHS would never be able to find someone to replace him that is even half his caliber. It’s down right shameful this is even a thing bc some board members want to throw a tantrum like a two year old. To tantrum throwers, go cry in your room and then come join the real world when you are ready to act like an adult! Don’t punish the community with your lack of adulting skills!

Amanda Murphy (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#914

I’m signing because it’s what’s right and even having to do this is what’s wrong with the world

Joshua Gearen (Watauga , 2021-08-04)

#915

Dr. Whitfield is an incredible educator amd leader and GCISD is lucky to have him.

Marci Ward (Bedford, 2021-08-04)

#923

I am signing because I am a teacher at colleyville high school. Through my employment Dr. Whitfield has demonstrated time and time again that he is a kind and professional principal who focuses on the wellbeing of those around him. I believe it’s only fair for us to do the same for him. I respect him as a principle and am shocked and disappointed at the viewpoints expressed from members of the community.

Bailey Turner (Saginaw, 2021-08-04)

#924

It is the right thing to do.

Cynthia Warren (Dallas, 2021-08-04)

#926

I think hes a great person and a great principal, and I feel as he’s being attacked for no reason

Patricia Renteria (burleson, 2021-08-04)

#933

This IS SO WRONG

Carmen Kincaid (Grapevine , 2021-08-04)

#937

im signing this because Dr. Whitfield has made a huge impact on my life, if he wasnt able to help me with my schedule i would have failed and i wouldnt have graduated on time causing me to go to summer school, then i wouldnt have the job i have now and i would still be in debt if it wasnt for him.

Marcus Logan (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#945

I know Dr Whitfield personally and professionally and consider him to be a person of the highest character, an educator of great effectiveness, and a wonderful role model for students. I support him without reservation.

#954

I’m signing to support Dr Whitfield who has proven to be an effective leader for CHHS. I am a parent of three graduates of CHHS, one current CHHS student and two future CHHS students.

Matthew Gaughan (Grapevine , 2021-08-04)

#955

I’m signing because Dr. Whitfield is a great leader, educator and cares about students and parents alike. My son has nothing but great things to say about this man and his character. Everyone should be so lucky to have a man like Dr. Whitfield as principal/leader of their school.

Jodi Lucas (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#956

I support Dr. Whitfield. It's ridiculous that this is even a problem!! CRT has no business in our district and he's denied he's teaching it. Let us know if you have anything to support that also!!

Kathi Starns (Euless, 2021-08-04)

#957

I know Dr. Whitfield is an honest and ethical man. He is a leader in his school, family and friends. He is one of the rare ones in this world!!!

Jennifer Raesz (Fort Worth , 2021-08-04)

#960

I know James Whitfield and find Stetson Clark’s comments slanderous.

Jeffrey tucker Tucker (North Richland Hills, 2021-08-04)

#961

Dr. Whitfield is an amazing principal. My girls adore him, he knows everyone’s name, makes kids feel special, very positive and encouraging. Is the best thing to happen to CHHS

Michelle Lovr (Colleyville, 2021-08-04)

#963

I’m signing because it is ridiculous to allow parents to have any say and/or control over a principal posting pictures of his wife on his social media. I’m signing because the district should have supported the principal and the post, rather than asking him to take it down. I’m signing because people need to learn to mind the business that pays them. I’m signing because love is love. I’m signing because too long the voices of hatred have been too loud and overreaching; it’s time to take that power away.

NaChelle Jackson (Mansfield, 2021-08-04)

#964

I’m in full support of Dr Whitfield!! My son attended CMS and dealt directly with racism. He will be a freshman at CHHS and we are excited to have him as my sons leader. I stand with Dr. Whitfield and his family!!

Mary Potts (Colleyville , 2021-08-04)

#965

The photo in question is beautiful, and the demand to remove it is ridiculous, and an assault on the First Amendment. It wreaks of racism.
I support Dr. Whitfield, his family, and his career.

kathleen diener (Pasadena, 2021-08-04)

#967

This is still a free country. Free to love who you will. Free to show love and affection and free kiss your spouse in public. This IS the type of person I want in our public schools. I do not want people who squelch others freedoms with their bigotry and hatred running our schools or sitting on our school board.

Michael Schwartz (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

#971

I’m signing because Dr. Whitfield is true hero and role model for students of the past, present, and future. He has been what I look up to and many of my past classmates look up to so we can become successful.

Kayla Margenau (North Richland Hills, 2021-08-04)

#973

This is nonsense and Dr. Whitfield is being targeted because he is in an interracial marriage. As a Texas citizen and taxpayer, it grieves me that this kind of ignorance still persist in the great state of Texas!

Damein Miller (AMARILLO, 2021-08-04)

#975

I support Dr. Whitfield completely. He has been a great principal for my kids.

Staci McClure (Euless, 2021-08-04)

Everyone benefits when we know the truth of our past. This knowing can guide our future choices and decisions to make our communities and our nation a better, fairer, kinder place to live.
Due diligence is necessary for individuals to learn the truth. Find out for yourself what Critical Race Theory really is. Don't believe information just because you saw or heard it on television.

Jane Jolley (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

#978

I want to do whatever I can to support Dr Whitfield.

Emily Hubbard (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

#980

We stand with LGBT community I’m tired of people not standing with the straight community!! Equality for ALL!!!! They have the absolute right to show their love support and commitment as husband and wife!! Beautiful couple and family !!

Niki Stamey (Salisbury , 2021-08-04)

#981

Dr. James Whitfield is what this world needs more of. He cares truly for each individual he comes across.

Katie Stubba (Watauga, 2021-08-04)

#983

Because he is a good man this photos aren't even that bad there's teachers who have done much much worse

Damarcus Hale (FORT WORTH, 2021-08-04)

#985

I am a Colleyville resident and have children in the GCISD school district.
Stetson Clark should be BANNED from GCISD.
Dr Whitfield is a wonderful person, leader and educator, so any suggestion of his firing is absolutely ridiculous.

Tracie Papadakis (Colleyville , 2021-08-04)

#994

Don’t let the loudest, extremist point of view dominate. I support Dr. Whitfield and really don’t care about his social media photos unless they are photos of him drunk or doing drugs. The far right is using CRT as a loud dog whistle.

Lisa Everett (Grapevine, 2021-08-04)

#995

Regardless of anyones position in a community, they still have right to their privacy and their use of social media. If parents are stalking a social media profile to find negative ways of defaming a positive & proven influence maker for their children than they are the ones who are at fault.
