Save GCC from CRT

I read the petition and agree with it entirely. I have seen these same things as a student and believe they are a threat to the values that hold Grove City together as a Christian campus.

I'm signing because I'm concerned if GCC is now promoting or tolerating liberal, anti-Christian, anti-American ideologies/viewpoints.

I want to be able to support a school that holds traditional values of our faith and country. Being born white doesn't make us racist and I am tired of being made to believe we owe the world an apology because of our race.

The reports, if true, are exceedingly disheartening. GCC is supposed to be a place of rigorous academic and spiritual formation. Allowing for such things as CRT to be promoted in any manner is inexcusable the best way to introduce it to students to enable then to fight such insidious evil cam be debated, but the acceptance or promotion is utterly inexcusable. You and the leadership, and the professors and administrators, have been called by God to lead and nurture these students to be equipped to reject such garbage. If the accusations in this are false, you MUST, make that known. If they are true, you MUST, make corrective action immediately. Failure to do so will allow the college to promote itself by a lie (being biblically grounded), while turning the students over to destructive falsehood. This will change the school for the worse, and ultimately the local community that I am a part of and care so dearly for. And will further contribute to the rapid decline of Western civilization. The GCC I know has the capability to send out thousands of men and women over the next decade to be godly parents, and bold leaders to combat this insidious evil. Until I know that this is responded to properly, I cannot recommend any prospective student apply.

I’m signing because I do not believe CRT aligns with the biblical values that Grove City College stands for.

GCC needs to lead academia and the world by example. Millions of lives have been lost in the name of Critical Theory and CRT is just the next forefront of Satan's struggle to defeat the church. As a bastion of Gospel truth, GCC must stand firm against the deadly ideologies that will lead to the downfall of America and society at large. Please GCC and all its staff, I beg you to be wise and exercise Godly wisdom.

I think CRT is an unbiblical, marxist political movement and it needs to be stopped.

CRT does nothing to stop racism but rather promotes it and creates division.

We have to preserve a faithful corner of academia. CRT and the like out to be discussed but not positively thought- engaged with but not endorsed.

I signed this petition in hope that the administration would consider putting policies in place that prohibit the teaching of the CRT ideology. This ideology is the antithesis to the Biblical worldview that your institution has tried to stay true to and what has made you a beacon of light in a dark world and a trusted place of higher learning. Thank you.

I expect GCC to stand firm in biblical truth and to proclaim clearly what God makes clear in the Bible. CRT is abhorrent. The only way to bring reconciliation to our world is through the Gospel of Jesus Christ. GCC, do not bow to the pressures of society.

Amy Wakefield (CHARLOTTE, 2021-11-13)

If these accusations are true, then GCC is working on loosing its soul. While we want our students to learn about CRT and debate its assertions, to actually promote it and have an office, staff, administrators, chaplains or professors who are promoting it is antithetical to Christianity. CRT is heavily influence by if not outright based on Marxist ideas of class warfare.

There is no room for CRT or any leftist issues at GCC which violate Biblical Truth. Any teaching that is not biblically sound needs to be eradicated immediately.

As a parent of a GCC alumni, I was pleased that my son attended a college with such a well grounded Christian foundation. That foundation is being undermined by CRT, which is an insidiously destructive force in society. It is actually a profoundly racist ideology, finding or manufacturing racism in every corner. It has no constructive role to play in a Christian context, and should be removed from GCC before it does more damage.

I oppose cultural marxism, socialism and other secular religions, believe in the Austrian economics I learned at Grove city, and will be sending my oldest daughter to college in a little over a year. I would very much want to send her to Grove city, but will not if the college follows the same path of secular rot as so many other institutions.

Joshua Butler (Clinton Pa, 2021-11-14)

As a Christian committed to scripture I must oppose the obvious racist CRT teaching. I am saddened to hear that it is gaining a foothold at GCC and will have to think hard about sending my children to the school if the teaching remains.

The reason why I attended Grove City was because I wanted to learn in a biblical sound and based worldview. I gave up a full ride to an other institution for expressly this purpose.

It is with great sadness that I have become aware that certain members of the staff do not see the danger poised by the Neo-Marxist ideology from were CRT originates,

This worldview must be refuted by the college and steps taken to prevent the its continued grow on campus. It fundamentally undermines the Gospel of Christ and left unchecked will undermine the entire reason for Grove City's existence.

Grove City College once showed the country it would not cave to the pressure brought upon it by the United States Government. It achieved a monumental status as "freedom's college" because of her faithful commitment.

The college is now facing another defining opportunity to hold to the Truth found with the Biblical foundation of the school by refuting the Neo-Marxist Ideology in question.

If she doesn't hold fast, than Grove City will no longer have a reason to exist. And I and my family will no longer recommend Grove City as a college were one should attend to learn within a Christian Worldview. In fact, better to attend an institution openly hostile to Christianity than one claiming to be Christian but confused over what the Bible clearly teaches and refutes.

After attending public high school in a far-left area, in the DC suburbs, I saw the hate and suffering that comes from viewing the world through a racial lens, and how meaningful and important it is to treat and especially see other human beings as individuals based on the content of their character and not the color of their skin. I came to Grove City College because I wanted to get away from the kind of place I went to high school, and because I had and still have moral concerns about going into debt funding the poisoning and sabotage of American society through division created and supported through all forms of "Critical Theory" in higher education. At Grove City College I found much of what I hoped for, like a humanities core curriculum which taught the history of the west and the epistemology required to be a Christian. I even found things I hadn't even thought to hope for, like being able to discuss Christianity in class and in public with strangers. But I also found exactly what I was trying to get away from: hatred of others, and their intentions and heart, based on their identity, a hatred of the very society and civilization that uniquely allows for such criticism and internal sabotage, and an epistemology and view of truth which views all of existence and meaning as material and therefore assigns godhood, saintliness, evil and demonic-ness to human beings on the same scale used in the Jim Crow south when held upside-down. I have heard of people saying they felt excluded on this campus based on their race, and their reasoning was that the innocent comments they hear from their white friends seem to be racist after they read into them with a bias taught to them towards finding racism. I have heard a past marketing officer for a club I am in report that he was yelled at by some office at the college for writing "Baby Lives Matter" on a poster because this office, claiming to speak on behalf of all African American students including those who ended up joining us from the posters, thought that saying anyone's lives mattered beyond only the usual blm slogan was racist and offensive. I have heard chapel "sermons" telling students to view all the figures of the Old Testament as oppressors and the oppressed, and to view every action, every decision and every piece of information through that lens. Our society is divided, and Satan is trying to make us group ourselves into smaller and smaller boxes while telling us to hate and fight every fellow human being who isn't a clone of ourselves, and even to hate ourselves as well if we aren't at the top of this man-made, ungodly hierarchy by engaging in lifestyles only imaginable and justifiable by putting man as the arbiter of truth through things like "Critical Theory". In the far future, whenever I have kids they will get a Christian and pro-human and pro-Imago Dei education, and they will not be subject to who knows how much debt being taught what they've already heard far too much from the world and the modern culture around them, wherever any particular educational institutions stand at that point in time. And I hope that will not be a problem for them to face in the future, seeing the revolt of American Parents against the evil in all levels of the education system flipping whole states from deep blue to red as we saw in Virginia and New Jersey, and seeing God awaken all Americans of all races, classes, religions, and regions to the prima facie insanity, hate and evil that seeks to convince us we aren't all Americans, Humans, and in the Imago Dei for which we should all be in one group that is homogenous as only those few factors matter. The past nearly two years have taught us the importance of community, of coming together as one group of one people, and this has made us recognize all origins of hate such as all "Critical Theory" as Satan's fruitless and destructive obstacles to God's plan for our country. Those who followed the religion of blm stopped to look at the blood on their hands and came to God when they saw their hatred of fellow humans like Officer Chauvin or the young man Mr. Rittenhouse were based on lies they were told about them, about the state of our legal system and government and about the state of our society. The love of our fellow man that comes from following Christianity instead of critical theory as our religion, and our belief in the existence and objective truth of all other non-physical morals and sources of morals, such as truth itself, compel us to state our opposition to Satan's ideology and weapon being promoted and used on campus.

I am signing because I have one student at Grove and one aspiring to go. We live Grove because it’s culture is Biblical instead of current culture trend and we want to see its Biblical roots preserved.

I am signing because I grew up in China and know first hand how damage CRT is. My family members have been directly affected by CRT tragically. I do not wish to see this replays in my children’s lives. CRT is pure Marxism and communism, very divisive, make people against each other for no reason. I am shocked GCC is going to allow this to be on campus.

I am shocked and disappointed at this actions by a college that is supposed to stand on Biblical principles and American values. I stand against CRT, and the mask of communism that it conceals.

I personally have seen this sentiment growing on campus particularly within the diversity club. I often have felt that instead of allowing students of different backgrounds to join campus life and fit right in with the student body or enhance the student experience with cultural learning, it has isolated students from the rest of campus and promoted a me vs them attitude. This sort of attitude only causes contention. I would prefer to see Grove City implement the club a little more like Honda that promotes learning about different cultures and cultural appreciation, and less of a socialist democrat club.
