SAICA releases the APC results prior to candidates being forced to rewrite.

I have written the APC and this is not fair to the trainees who would have passed initially.

Ruben Strydo, (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#4

I want to receive my marks before considering the rewrite.

Marzanne Matthys (Cape Town , 2021-12-07)

#5

SAICA's reasoning for not allowing us to rewrite AFTER marks have been released is literally not fair and is not a logical argument

Abdur-Rahman Dindar (Northcliff, 2021-12-07)

#12

SAICA's response is that which is not fair on the candidates

Alexander Philippou (Benoni, 2021-12-07)

#23

I want to be given a choice to re-write based on my result of the exam written on 1 December.

Tamzyn Hughes (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#25

It’s right

Matthew Wortley (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#26

I do not want to rewrite if there is a chance that I have already passed.

Liezl de Kock (Nelspruit, 2021-12-07)

#27

Results should be released prior to rewrite

Kieran Scruton (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#32

Facilitating a rewrite prior to knowing results will cause significant problems with international employers which will not enjoy making our problems their problems within the first months being employed by them.

Christiaan Roos (Stellenbosch, 2021-12-07)

#39

The rewrite should be done in March 2021.

Tony Daniels (Kapa, 2021-12-07)

#40

I am an APC writer

Luke Seymour (Newlands, 2021-12-07)

#41

It provides us an opportunity to identify where we went wrong before writing a supplement exam.

MJ Cho (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#42

SAICA is disrespecting candidates in trying to find a solution that works for them at the candidates' expense. SAICA is not interested in hearing us out and taking our opinion into account in making a decision.

Linathi Nzwai (Midrand, 2021-12-07)

#45

We deserve better.

Jaco Abel (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#47

Most candidates are in their second year and SAICA’s reasoning for not releasing results does not seem fair and reasonable.

Anri Joubert (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#48

I do not want to re-write the exam before I know my outcome!

Botsah La Des (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#61

I would like the re-exam to take place after results for the 01/12 assessment has been released

Taskeen Jaffer (Pretoria, 2021-12-07)

#65

I would like to receive my results before rewriting this exam!

Michaela Scholtz (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#66

We need our 1 December results before we have a rewrite.

Stefan Erasmus (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#68

Forced to write

Jean Plessis (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#71

Agree results before rewrite

Andre Meyer (Randburg, 2021-12-07)

#81

Saica messed up abysmally and now the trainees are expected to rewrite.

SHARON LITSTER (DURBAN, 2021-12-07)

#85

As a candidate I would like my results

Michaela Begemann (Pretoria , 2021-12-07)

#86

It seems it is MORE IMPORTANT to all candidates to have results in order to decide on re-writing, THAN having results released at the same time. People would 'be harmed' in the mistiming of results than by having to re-write without knowing results of 1 Dec.

Camilla Koker (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#90

To reduce restraints on resources and avoid the added mental strain of possibly writing a futile 8 hour exam by releasing the marks first

Tylah Nortier (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#92

As a candidate I think it would only be fair to receive our results before we have to make the decision to rewrite.

Victor Orban (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#95

This is absolutely ridiculous seeing as the miss management had nothing to do with the students!

Chanté Mc Leod (Pretoria, 2021-12-07)

#97

SAICA should consider fairness and the candidates' voices, we need the results before the exam can be re-written.

Mapula Mapula (Gauteng , 2021-12-07)

#98

SAICA needs to mark and release results weeeeks before the rewrite.

Asanda Mtshabe (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#99

Based on the poor controls in place for the examination, it is unfair to punish candidates for the poor preparation of the exam. Please mark the Dec21 scripts and allow a re write to those who require it thereafter in order to provide an equitable chance to all candidates but also benefit those who do not need to go through it again. There has been no engagement with candidates in the making of this decision and it is completely unfair.

Aamina Bardien (Cape town, 2021-12-07)

#100

I'm a saica trainee and I wrote the APC and it would be unfair to have us write when there is a possibility that I might have passed the APC.

Charmaine Hills (Vereeniging , 2021-12-07)

#103

It is unfair to not allow us to receive our marks before being given the opportunity to write the supplementary. It is not our fault, it is SAICA's fault, we should be listened to.

Ben Du Plessis (Stilbaai, 2021-12-07)

#105

I would like to see my results first before having the option to re-write or not. If I or another person has initially passed I do not see how it is fair to subject us to the stress and time involved in the process of rewriting. This requires that we take extra leave from our employment which puts our employers at a disadvantage as well. If the candidates as a group want their results before the rewrite then this should be the most significant factor in determining your decision.

Tanya Diplock (Johannesburg , 2021-12-07)

#108

It does not make sense that we have to rewrite before results are out due to their mess. Give the results and then allow for rewrite

Tommie Le Roux (Pretoria/Gauteng, 2021-12-07)

#109

I am signing this because it is unfair to rewrite and undergo all the stress again of you have already passed. SAICA does not care about the candidates.

Elene von Abo (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#112

I want to get my results first in order to assess if there is a need for me to rewrite

Rethabile Malimabe (Nelspruit, 2021-12-07)

#113

It us unfair and unnecesary

Deon Jansen van Nieuwenhuizen (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#120

Their results being released first

Teressa Hills (Vereeniging , 2021-12-07)

#122

It is unfair to have to rewrite such a challenging exam if you have already passed it.

Morgan Barath (Welkom, 2021-12-07)

#123

I’m signing because I think it is unjust to force the candidates to rewrite and not consider our proposal to write should we not pass.

Nosihle Madinane (Pretoria, 2021-12-07)

#124

I want my results before being forced into a rewrite

Derryn Fox (Johannesburg, 2021-12-07)

#128

SAICA Must release the results before we write the Supp!

Rethabile Baloyi (Midrand, 2021-12-07)

#130

I am signing because it would be the most fair option to all.

Melishia Ankiah (Ladysmith, 2021-12-07)

#141

It is unfair

nicole grindlay (SANDOWNE, 2021-12-07)

#145

A rewrite should only be an option once candidates receive their results from their first exam. Only those who are unsuccessful should then be allowed to rewrite as candidates who are already successful in their first attempt and have shown the necessary competence should not be required to rewrite. By having the whole group of candidates rewrite results in inefficient use of resources as unnecessary resources are wasted by re-assessing already competent candidates.

Karen Burger (Georve, 2021-12-07)

#148

I feel it is unfair to make candidates go through the entire APC process and stress if they are assessed as competent in the initial examination held on the 01 December 2021. It will waste the time of those candidates who may have passed as well as the time of the firms to give candidates leave who may have already passed the exam.

Michelle Drinkwater (Port Elizabeth, 2021-12-07)

#152

This decision was made by SAICA without taking into the consideration the candidates views

Lesego Ramaila (Johannesburg , 2021-12-07)

#156

I want my marks to be released before the re-write.

Celeste Carstens (Cape Town, 2021-12-07)

#169

I am signing this because I find it unfair to encourage trainees to write the rewrite when it may not be necessary. It is a bully tactic from Saica. If Saica had us at best interest then they would mark the exams and release results well in advance of the rewrite.

Robyn Van de vyver (Stellenbosch , 2021-12-07)

#175

We need our results first!

Nyiko Hlongwane (POBox 1836, 2021-12-07)

#189

I agree

Vukile Siwundla (Johannesburg , 2021-12-07)

#199

I wrote in Johannesburg Gallagher. I'm signing this petition as the results should be released first to give us the choice on whether we want to rewrite or not. As if we already passed with the difficult circumstances then why would we want to sit through another 8 hour exam and a 5 day draining of gathering information for our exam
