I fully support an end to all Covid related mandates. From a parent with children in Archdiocese of Baltimore schools.

Stephanie Quaerna (Baltimore , 2022-01-30)

#207

I am totally against mask and needle mandates

Steven Appel (Parkville, 2022-01-30)

#208

The mandates are imposed in a super politically motivated environment. Kids are not at risk. There is no science. Have vaccines distributed by pediatrician after risk / benefits are discussed with parents. Why is this not done as it is so obvious? Because it’s NOT about the science! Please let’s get some real leadership!!!

Amarie Kappaz (Potomac, 2022-01-30)

Because these are OUR children! As parents, we know what is best for OUR children’s health. This is not a one size fits all situation

Jennifer Gentile (Rockville, 2022-01-30)

Parents and ONLY parents should have the right to determine what to vaccinate and not vaccinate their children with. Parents should not be forced or coerced into making a decision simply to have their children attend a school, especially one that they are paying to have their child attend.

Kim Pratta (Edgewater, 2022-01-30)

1) This is against science.
2) A decision like this should not be made with an unapproved drug. There is just an EUA for the COVID shot.
3) Drug companies are pursuing vaccinating children so they can link to the 1986 Vaccine act and not be sued for the many deaths the vaccine has caused.
4) There many drugs that are more effective than the vaccine (100% with early treatment) and safer with no side effects and deaths like the vaccines have
5) These are not vaccines. Webster changed the definition in January 2022 to accommodate the COVID shot which is nothing more than an 3-6 month prophylactic shot like a 6 month birth control pill.
6) It is clear with the above and much other evidence that the decisions to mandate vaccinations like this goes against the teachings of Jesus.

It is unethical and unconscionable to mandate these vax and boosters w no long term data to a demographic that is at miniscule risk of severe covid especially with the Omicron variant which is mild and asymptomatic for most people.

Onecia Ribeiro (Potomac , 2022-01-30)

#222

Catholic schools should stand for freedom and rational thinking. School age children are the lowest risk demographic for serious health effects of a COVID infection. If this is somehow meant to stop the spread of COVID, that is not supported by science. Vaccinated people are spreading the infection just as unvaccinated people are.

Kevin Duke (Chevy Chase, 2022-01-30)

#224

Where there is risk there must be choice. One size fits all medicine is not only ineffective and dangerous. We also have so much more information about these vaccines now then we did even a few months ago. They stop neither infection nor spread, only severity of disease. If you spent more than 5 minutes in Washington DC in December, you know this is true. Covid blanketed our area infecting the vaccinated, unvaccinated and boosted alike. In my house, it was only my unvaccinated 6 yr old who showed almost zero symptoms. Children have never been the population that experiences severe disease from Covid, certainly not filling the hospitals. A very large number of these students have already been infected with Covid, many from their fully vaccinated parents and teachers, easily recovered and have natural immunity now. We still have no long term data on the side effects from these injections. If the ADW moves forward with any plan to mandate these vaccines, will they also accept liability for any adverse reactions? I have had children in an ADW school since 2007, but will absolutely leave if these are mandated. Please take some time to see this population’s reaction to Montgomery County’s attempt to implement a vaccine passport system. Many vaccinated individuals support the vaccine and oppose the mandate. As Catholics we are called to be the light, these mandates only create more darkness and divisiveness.

My sons attend an ADW school and I strongly disagree with coercing children into being vaccinated with an experimental vaccine as a condition of their access to a Catholic education.

Tamara Beauchard (University Park, 2022-01-30)

#244

I believe it is morally wrong to mandate vaccination with a vaccine that has not stood the test of time and that has been shown to have little effectiveness for stopping the spread of the virus. Young people have a greater risk of harm from the Covid vaccine than they do from the Coronavirus itself.

Anne Miller (Adelphi, 2022-01-31)

#245

I have 3 children in a diocesan school. I will not enroll them for them next year unless I am assured that they will not be required to take the experimental covid-19 vaccine.

Anne-Marie Maginnis (Silver Spring, 2022-01-31)

#246

Vaccines have proven to not prevent the contracting or spreading of covid 19. What is the point of mandating a vaccine that does neither? This is a personal medical decision as it does not affect public health.

Heather Wicjlein (Silver Spring, 2022-01-31)

Vaccines should be optional, not mandatory. They do not stop transmission.

I am opposed to Covid 19 vaccine mandates, especially for children. We should be allowed to make our own judgments about what medicines to give to our children. I prefer those with long proven safety profiles and a robust understanding of the risks and benefits associated with any medicines.

As a Catholic in good standing I believe that the Church teaches the parents are the first and most important educator of their children. Therefore, the Catholic school system should not try to manipulate on behalf of the state to have compliance to unjust laws.

EricNicole Eckenrode (Derwood, 2022-01-31)

It is private citizens, not the Church, who bare the responsibility of caring for loved ones stricken by vaccine side effects. As such it is the child's parents who are the rightful people to decide the fate of their children - not the Church

DANA KWIST (Colorado Springs, 2022-01-31)

I am a Catholic and a parent of Catholic school children in North Carolina. I am appalled that my church would not protect our children and our ability to choose wether to put an experimental barely tested vaccine into our children's body. These vaccines were made and tested using fetal cell lines which go against everything my family believes in as a catholic. As the USCCB stated it is up to each Catholic to determine in their conscience if they wish to take this vaccine. This should not be mandated or coerced in any way shape or form. Christ calls us to not conform to the world. Our church can't go along with the Government overreach that is happening and harming millions of people in our country. There are multiple reports of harm, myocarditis, menses issues, neurological issues, deaths. Doctors pleading with parents not to give this to children who survive Covid at 99.9% rate. Is the Diocese going to take liability since the Govt and the pharmaceutical companies are not should a child be harmed by taking this vaccine out of cohersion? Please prayerfully consider this and do more research beyond what the Govt, media and Pharma companies are saying.

The current vaccine does not prevent children from getting or transmitting the virus, but the many risks associated with forcing them to stay home, out of school and social life (because they don’t have it) have been well documented. If ADW reads the available science and deems it necessary for children to be vaccinated than I shouldn’t be trusting them with educating my children, especially when countries like Sweden aren’t even recommending children 5-11 get the vaccine because the benefits don’t outweigh the risks.

Meghan Doody (Potomac, 2022-01-31)

These mandates are not supported by the science and our liberties must not be trampled on by, at best, misguided administrators and politicians, or at worst corrupt authoritarians. These mandates are not supported by science and could have life altering consequences for many.

I am not anti-vaccines in general, but I object to the idea of requiring this experimental serum for children. Nothing is yet known of the long term consequences of the mRNA, and there us no evidence that child are at risk.

Cornelia Hart (SILVER SPRING, 2022-01-31)

#334

I am pro-informed consent, and believe parents should have the right, after being provided all relevant data and information (which we do not have for this shot yet) to accept or decline a medical intervention. Discrimination of any child based on vaccination status needs to be addressed.

Miranda Goodson (College Park, 2022-01-31)

#338

Vaccines should not be mandated! We live in a free country that gives us a right to choose for ourselves not be told by government! This vaccine is not proven and kills more people then it helps! I am shocked the Catholic church would go along with those who want to force everyone to take this vaccine when data has shown this vaccine is not safe!
Front line doctors are totally against this vaccine because there is no need for it because we have medicine out there that fights Covid 19. I would be more then happy to sit down with you and show you the data. I fore one will never take this vaccine or allow my children to take something that will harm them.

Please don't follow those who are hurting our children with this vaccine.

God Bless you,

Because I think Catholic Schools should follow what the Vatican CDF said in Dec 2021, "At the same time, practical reason makes evident that vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation and that, therefore, it must be voluntary. In any case, from the ethical point of view, the morality of vaccination depends not only on the duty to protect one's own health, but also on the duty to pursue the common good. In the absence of other means to stop or even prevent the epidemic, the common good may recommend vaccination, especially to protect the weakest and most exposed. Those who, however, for reasons of conscience, refuse vaccines produced with cell lines from aborted fetuses, must do their utmost to avoid, by other prophylactic means and appropriate behavior, becoming vehicles for the transmission of the infectious agent. In particular, they must avoid any risk to the health of those who cannot be vaccinated for medical or other reasons, and who are the most vulnerable."
Since the vaccines have been proven not to prevent disease nor transmission, they have ceased to be a common good and is only a personal good. A personal good should always be voluntary to respect our gift of free will given to us by our Creator.

Lise Baur (Silver Spring, 2022-01-31)

It is wrong to force these experimental abortion-tainted shots with significant dangerous side effects and unknown long term safety data (lack of informed consent) on your students.

Stop this insane vaccine mandate immediately on our American Catholic children. It is in direct opposition to our God given rights to choose what we put in our own bodies, a visious attack on healthy bodies, and a crime against humanity!! These dangerous vaccines into innocent childrens' bodies is a reckless , nazi style crime that must STOP NOW!

Donna Young (Hamilton Square , 2022-01-31)

#370

This vaccine has proven not to be effective in that if you get the shot you can still get Covid and transmit it. The CDC recognizes that natural immunity is more protective then the shot. And these children are young and most likely don’t have underlying health conditions that would put them in jeopardy if they got Covid.

Isabelle Juhring (Gaithersburg, 2022-02-01)
