When the state deems it appropriate to provide cities and towns with the authority to remove mask mandates for students, I encourage the town to consider a parents' right to choose. I do realize that the actions of others have an effect on those around them, however, given the recent lack of enforcement of state mandated mask laws around Rhode Island, and the sharp decline in cases/deaths related to Covid, I do believe it is time to relax mandates and support choice.
