Support Holly Hagg Community Farm Planning Application

Holly Hagg Community Farm is a volunteer run Permaculture project. It's guiding principles are Earth Care, People Care and Future Care. The farm grows vegetables and fruit and keeps alpacas, pigs, sheep and poultry to support the land and give people opportunities to engage with nature in a welcoming and stress free environment.  Holly Hagg's highly aclaimed alpaca trekking business provides all the funding, allowing delivery of free services to vulnerable and special needs groups, youth groups and animal management college students.

Over the years the volunteers have installed a storage shed, toilet, green house and animal shelters which are vital to the wellbeing of the animals and volunteers and enhance our ability to grow food.  They are sited discretely and have minimal impact on the area.

Following recent advise that these structures needed planning permission, the farm has submitted a planning application for the existing structures and to replace the oldest alpaca shelter and hay store.  The council considers comments from the public in deciding whether to grant permission.

By signing this petition you are expressing your support for the valuable contribution to the community made by Holly Hagg and are in favour of consent being granted so that Holly Hagg can continue to operate successfully.
