2020 IQM Exam

The time allocated for the IQM 801 was unfair.  There was a lot that the students had to do, considering that data was provided in pdf which required copying to Excel for calculations and back to MS Word. Formulas were required to be typed as well. The lecturer could have provided data in excel to save some time.  

With regards to question 1, short essay, there were 10 questions and the expectation is that the answer for each question should be half to a full page. We believe that this is not achievable to answer in the two-hour given even if a person has a fast typing speed. The students have got different typing speed and having 10 essay type questions puts some student in a disadvantage.  

The combination of the essay questions and the calculation questions made it nearly impossible for students to complete the exam adequately enough to pass. The 2hrs was not sufficient for this exam. We require the department to intervene.
