Latest- Letter from Carlow IT to CCC's.

2016-05-26 16:38:16

This is a transcript from a section of the letter sent out to CCC's from Carlow IT -" The Institute of Technology Carlow is pleased to announce that the expert appointed by the Department of Education and skills to review the Level 7( add -on) Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Care and Education for higher capitation purposes has concluded that the content of the programme ( i.e the 60 credits taught in one academic year) does meet the requirements of the eligibility criteria for the higher capitation grant for the DCYA funded programme in terms of skills and knowledge."
To make sure this is now rolled out to all of us in an equitable way, we still need to contact our CCC's . All who stood together on this need to make sure that the DCYA or any other agency does not try to restrict it in anyway-by setting limitations to where it can be set up as an outreach course - after all ,we surely won't let that happen, :-) Carlow IT will keep your CCC's informed of what is happening next. Again, thanks to all .

Hopeful News

LEVEL 7 Carlow IT Course

A TD who was contacted previously by an EY educator has just had a response from The Minister for Education to state that while this falls under the responsibility of The Minister for Children and Youth Affairs he is aware that this course is under consideration by The DCYA in conjunction with The dept. of Ed. and Carlow IT. PLEASE PLEASE keep up the pressure. Thank you to the groups and individuals who have been so supportive of this petition and have been protesting against the removal of this course in their own inimitable ways aswell and of course this TD.
