ALBERTON AGAINST CRIME AND DRUGS

WhatsApp_Image_2023-06-16_at_13.27_.02_.jpg

The Democratic Alliance (DA) in Alberton is concerned about the impact of drug abuse in communities, especially among the youth. This problem persists because of known drug dealers freely roaming the streets and not behind bars. Therefore the DA in Alberton calls on Police Minister Bheki Cele to ensure that police stations in the Alberton area are adequate to fight crime and ensure that drug dealers are kept behind bars.

However, this can only happen when stations such as the Alberton Police Station and Brackendowns Police Station have adequate holding cells to keep prisoners behind bars when they are apprehended. Furthermore, all police stations in Alberton require more boots on the ground in fighting crime and putting an end to drug dealing in the community.
