Create a dog park for our Community

Before contacting the powers that be, I wanted to collect names to show how great the interest is in creating a dog park in our beautiful community!

 

The field we would like to see utilized for a dog park sits behind the Afton Community Centre in New Dominion, PEI. I personally have lived in this community for most of my life and this field has been sitting unused and vacant since the day the land was gifted to the community. Creating a dog park in this space would allow residents in the area to let their dogs exercise with out the use of a leash. It would draw members of the community to gather here, and interact. There is a great need in our area for a safe space for our pups to exercise as we do not have side walks to walk them on, traffic often travels very fast along the roads, and far too many dogs that are not friendly are allowed to roam free, and often will charge at you when walking your dog by their homes. 


If you would like to see some of this land  utilized by creating a leash free dog park behind the Afton Community Centre, I encourage you to sign this petition and share it with others that you know would love it and use it daily!
