Discriminating against a pregnant women at school or at work

This petition serves as a protection, an assurity that we firmly stand united and together in support of a pregnant women at work nor school, mostly a pregnant woman who was once a victim, now a victim and we say we dont want more victims in the future. Below is the letter written by a black woman, terminating a  pregnant woman's contract via a group whatsapp.what a shame a black woman in abuse of power. I was not aware that a company can terminate and discriminate against a pregnant woman just because their pregnant, deprive a pregnant woman an opportunity to education, and opportunity to a career and more over and opportunity to rise. 

According to South African constitution this serves as descrimination on the basis of gender and pregnancy. This would be violation of Section 8 equality Act and Section 9(3) and/ or 9(4) of the constitution. 

Labour relations Act has a firm law and I am sure they are not aware of what pregnant woman are going through.

Legislation requires that companies study and thoroughly familiarize themselves with the contents of this code of good practice. 

Let us stand together to support pregnant woman who was faced with what is written in the letter.
