We need to protect Bumpy and what he means to our school and our community. Someone like him cannot be replaced, and it is our duty to keep him where he belongs, UTS!

I am writing this today because I recently heard that my classmate, Bumpy Arevalo, may not be invited back to UTS next year. I implore you to allow this integral member of the M3 grade to remain at UTS for two reasons. Firstly, I believe that our grade needs Bumpy, and, secondly, I believe that all Bumpy needs is one more chance. For these reasons, I urge you to think twice before making us all bid farewell to Bumpy Arevalo.
The first reason I am writing to you is that I honestly believe that our grade needs Bumpy. Since the first days of F1, Bumpy has been a vitally important part of our grade’s iden-tity and psyche. Bumpy has brought his wit and creativity to all of our lives, making our UTS experience so much richer. Everyone knows of the five-billion-year-old Texas enthusiast. When his birthday came, dozens of people signed Bumpy’s locker to wish him well. Bumpy is an in-imitable member of our grade and would be sorely missed. Please do not allow Bumpy, who plays such a key role in the Class of 2017’s identity, to slip away.
The second reason I am writing to you is that I believe that Bumpy can change. I am aware that this sound cynical but it is true. UTS’ admission criteria are competitive enough to ensure that candidates who get in have what it takes to prosper at UTS. As is evident from his consistently strong performance in subjects like Math and Drama, and from his almost boundless creativity, Bumpy certainly has the capability to thrive in this environment. If necessary, many members of the M3 grade are even willing to offer him a helping hand. In all events, we believe that, like so many of us, Bumpy is better off here in this wonderful, open and welcoming envi-ronment than anywhere else.
Call him Kaj Arevalo, Bumpy, Bump or Bumpus – he is an integral part of our grade. My grade cannot afford to lose him and I honestly believe all he needs is a second chance.

No idea who Bumpy is, but this is the school that taught me to believe in second chances. Also sick name.

Bumpy is inspirational. He means so much to everyone in our grade, and I have a story to tell. I was in his F1 class (for those of you who don't know, it was F1-02), and on the first day of school, Bumpy was obviously asked by many a teacher why his name was Bumpy. AFter the first few occurrences, we all laughed because we had heard the story.
Any given teacher: "Bumpy Arevalo? Bumpy? Why is your name Bumpy?"
Bumpy: "Uuuh... I don't know."
And that was it.
If you do not know his real name, good. His real name is Bumpy. What is important is that everyone knows Bumpy. And if anyone doesn't know him, then we hope they do now. He is so important and is a defining member in our grade. Please keep him at UTS because we would lose a part of the grade, the school, and our hearts if he were to leave.
