Cape Town has a serious problem with street racing... having more tracks to race in a controlled enviroment is DEFINITELY a major option to help solve this problem. This is why we need MCRW to commence with the completion of their goal.

Currently we're experiencing an issue with street racing being curbed by the City... and the law curbing it has now generaly curbed your daily driver who doesn't conform with illegal street racing. Lets get this raceway to completion as it will definitely assist with solving this problem... than just thinking up laws that curbs other forms of sport aswell as day to day driving.

Im a car enthusiast, I don't do street racing but my pride and joy is going to be taken away because of the city of cape town paints everyone with the same brush. So I might as well sign up to see where the wind is going to blow me...... Who knows maybe I'll do some racing soon.

We would like to have allocated spots for passionate drivers to do what they do best and not to be treated as criminals.

#7 Legal Street Racing

2015-02-16 13:30

Good Day,

Could the govenment please provide a racing track for us who would like to race the legal way beside Killarey! Also, the ghost squard should stop targeting normal people who's cars have mods on it that don't race on the streets!

Lets give democracy a chance on those who want to do it by law.

A race track but not on the streets.

I think it's well overdue. The City of Cape Town council should really consider our plea, as this would make life so much easier and safer for everyone. Youngsters will at least have a place to go to and challenge each other with vehicles they have put so much into. For a young man, being able to race and experience that feeling of winning is the best feeling ever. One he won't ever forget.

This petition should be signed by each and every racer, car lover, mechanic, workshop, tuner... Everyone involved with cars should sign this. If a venue such as this is created, think of all the job opportunities. Racers need to eat and need beverages. Those grounds need to be looked after. There are so many good things to come of this. Please CCT your people needs you.

If you want to stop illegal street racing, allow this as opposed to slamming on cars with some modifications done by reputable modifiers. Don't kill racing!

Perfect road would be the road that runs parallel with N2 from Firgrove to Somerset West. It has been used once many years ago. Any trafic can be diverted at firgove brige to the N2 without any problems and it is not a built up area.

It's a good idea to build a race way at fisantekraal. It should have been one a long time ago. It's an excellent way as well to keep Cape Town's car culture ( petrol heads since the 80's) alive and going.
