Skerries is an amazing place, within easy reach of Dublin and surrounding places. It has beauty and history and during my lifetime has changed very little. To turn this place of nature into a a landfill site is beyond horrendous, this Must not happen and the people of Skerries need to stand together to prevent this.

Spent a lot of time in Skerries as a child and now bring my children there to experience all that Skerries has to offer. It is a beautiful place, please don't distroy it and stop this landfill happening.

Milverton was a no go area when I was younger.Look at all the nature it contains without being touched. Why do you have to pay so many euros if you want to object?
In years to come they will regret their actions.
Foolish people.

I grew up in Skerries and the quarry was a horrible mess especially on the days they blasted. Please, please don't turn it back into a horrendous mess.

Usual slippery nonsense where some Irish people and companies think the rest of us are here to provide their profits !

The government's failure to grant a licence to the Covanta company to build a thermal oxidiser on the docks is leading to Ireland going even further backwards with regard to the safeguard of the environment. The Covanta site would have been one of the most economically friendly oxidiser's on the planet. Not only this but would have generated employment and finance from potential client countries. The site was to be 100 time's safer than landfill. The ill advised pocket filling thieves decided that privatisation would not benefit them so it was discarded. Landfill is dangerous and bringing the planet closer to it's demise.

Wildlife havens and beautiful natural places need to be protected not destroyed by using them as landfill sites.

My dad was born and raised in Skerries. The quarter is part of that areas history and now a safe place for wild life. This area is famous for its beautiful waters and countryside - it should be left alobe.

I grew up spending summers in Skerries. The Quarry was a wonderful place then40 years ago and should be reserved for future generations. I remember the rabbits.

The high population in the Milverton area and further afield would make great use of this quarry if it was established as a recreation area. Picnic tables could be set up, along with bird watching hides and possibly made into a nature reserve. It would be a shame to ruin such a beautiful, naturally formed area by refilling it as a dump.

It's disgraceful that such a beautiful place with so many different kinds of wildlife would be turned into a landfill site. I strongly object to this going ahead.

I remember when the Quarry was in use, everything within a

Kilometre radious of it was covered in white dust. We were never

Crazy decision ...some of the wildlife living there are protected species ..the place should be opened up to the public, not filled in with junk by a company with a disgusting history of total disregard for the public
