He was one of my close friends and lived down the street from me, really breaks My heart that I drive by his house but he is no longer there :( I miss him so much and do believe that he should be honored for the life that he lived!

I signed it because Tyler deserves it. Just because the way he passed away shouldn't have anything to do with it. I see people all the time honoring children who had passed away. It might of been from a sickness or accidental death but because of that it doesn't change Tyler on who he was as as whole person. I feel they should honor him.

We, too, lost a son in a tragic accident. His memory will live on forever in our hearts and minds as well as his loyal friends. This class should be able to honor Tyler's memory in the way that they are requesting. Just because he committed suicide doesn't make is life any less than anyone else's. That is not what they want to remember about him. He was a good friend to many and for this he should be honored.

I graduated in 2004 from OHS. In the summer between my 10th & 11th grade years, my classmate Nick Henry committed suicide. We had no idea why, much like Tyler friends and family.... we had a candle and picture of Nick at our graduation and theses kids deserve to honor their friend and classmate too!!

My nephew was an incredible but troubled young man. His classmates want him remembered in what would have been a huge milestone in his life. It means alot to them as well as his family and friends.

Because other Otsego graduation ceremonies have honored students who have passed away, this one shouldn't be any different.

This young man deserves to be honored at what would have been his graduation.

He has every right to be honored at graduation. He is still and always will be apart of their class. Just because he isn't here in real life doesn't mean he isn't here at all. His classmates deserve to celebrate graduation with him as if he were here.

Why would they not want to honor this student who touched and left such an impact on soo many lives?

The Fact that we have to sign a petition for our friend to be honored at graduation is ridiculous. Way to be Otsego, way to be.

This was a high school boy in our hometown. He deserves to be included with his classmates during their graduation.

I didnt know Tyler but I always heard great things. Tyler deserves the graduation and growing up but he never got that. So give Tyler this one last thing. And if you dont agree just do this and then forget it ever happened if it really bothers you that much

Because sometimes life gives us more than we can handle and to allieviate the pain in our hearts and head we choose our options. Until you have walked a mile in someone else life you cannot judge them. Just support them

Since I was Tyler Burd's younger brother, I enjoyed having to see my brother once more right before he passed. I loved him so much and he had a heart of gold. Tyler's friends deserve to honor him at their graduation because he was a lifelong friend and classmate.
