The traders are earning a honest living, instead of standing at the street corners and begging or stealing from people. They have families to feed bills to pay. The stables is a safe environment to shop in and provides a service to the public.

We always visit the stables, it has the great atmosphere with great people and it's always busy. It's a durban landmark and it needs to be saved. Alot of people make their livelihood by having their businesses there and they have great support from the community. It would be sad to see this place go.

Because i have being Trading @ Fleamarkets for 20 years.I support all fleamarkets.We are earning an honest living.I was once Executive Chairman of South Plaza Market Durban.I have a lot of experince in Markets.I deal with thousands of Clients and do not wish for any trader to be on the street.Our Fleamarket is our Bread and Butter.No more closing down of Markets.Screw the Big companies.

I ame amazed how they can shut bizneses dawn but to get n person out that rents property is giving more tolerance. Sometimes you have to make shoor the have a alternative accommodation

I am a trader at the Stables Market. This is my only source of income. it would be sad to see it go as it has become my second home for the past 12 years. Who will employ me at my age???!!!many other traders are in a similar situation. I and many other traders also have employees who will also lose their income.Stables is only day/night market in Durban which is on a heritage site. It is a safe enviroment for all our patrons. We are trying to earn an honest living. Why remove us when there's so much vacant land available for a sporting academy??? I plead with you all PLEASE SAVE THE STABLES.

I'm against people loosing jobs and income. I'm a horselover and think Ethekwini Municipality have not thought this drastic decision through. As it is there is very little to do in Durban that is free. Everything else has a price tag when coming to entrances and this is about the only decent flea market left.
