Soldiers deserve our respect and the very best medical attention and drugs we can give them.Shame on any government that doesn't give their armed forces the very best of everything

Medical care for members of the Defence Forces is a joke, a form came out just after Liberia with a question "do you suffer from memory loss" or words to that effect. Only reason for that is stop claims that will happen. People were told that the DF had got permission to issue Larium for upto 8 months.

Medical care, ask a soldier when he/she did a proper medical last.............. when they joined.

Because again our employer got it wrong and don,t show a duty of care. Which they should have learned from Army Deafness claims.

Because I would not like to see more Irish soldiers being subjected to this drug. The side affects are catastrophic to the lives of the very people we send to war torn areas of the world for peacekeeping and peace enforcement missions and then give them this mind altering drug which can lead to depression and self harm and suicide.

I would not want any of our defence personnel to suffer in anyway & they do not have a choice in matter if they want to serve overseas.

I have been given larium as a defence force member I also got malaria. I suffer from short term memory . People are afraid to report it in case of being medically discharged. ..... All our yearly medical questioneers now have larium effects questions...

I'm an ex serviceman but was never administered larium . I know of suicide of ex colleague linked to it and also heard from friends still serving of their experiences. They are all so tight lipped about it because they fear medical discharge. Good luck I hope this issue is given the attention it deserves .

I served for 12 years. I also served overseas, but I never took the pills, an uncle of mine had warned me. I would like to see right done.
