RIGA, March 16 (LETA) - All For Latvia!-For Fatherland And Freedom/LNNK (VL-TB/LNNK) has drafted a bill envisaging the status of a Latvian freedom fighter, applicable monthly benefits and special badges for those Latvian soldiers who fought against the Soviet Union during World War II, as the party informed LETA.

The bill will restore historical justice and allow all remaining Latvian legionnaires to receive official recognition of their armed resistance to the Soviet occupation regime, receive moral and financial compensation for the regime's discrimination, education and work restrictions, emphasizes VL-TB/LNNK....

The most of the people of family were killed in WW2 by SS Legion of Latvia, the brother of my grandmother died to make this country free of the nazies. And from the name of all people who still have the pain in their hearts and the memory in their mind I can say only one thing: People wake up, you can't be proud of the Evel!

OMG! How many lies from Russians... .
These marchers don't glorify nazis and Hitler!
Latvian legionaries were not a war criminals.
Latvian legionaries fought against the Soviet Union because they did not want to see it occupy the territory of Latvia again and terrorise and annihilate it's people (like in 1940 and 1941)
Marchers only mentions these freedom fighters.

In contrast, at 9th May in Latvia thousands of Soviet times civil occupants really celebrates Latvia's occupation day with USSR symbolics (flags, red stars etc.), bloody dictator Stalin's portraits and vodka. Among them there are some unpunished war criminals (punishment received only nazis)! Some of these people laughs about Stalin's deportations of Latvians and even say: 'not enough Latvians were sent to Siberia'. Aren't such people real fascists? Such people leave signatures in this page too :(
Type "Red army war crimes" in web search engine and read about Soviet army war crimes in Germany, Baltic States and other countries!

To ignore the past and to deny it is the best way to suffer the same fate in the future. Ever heard of Salaspils were the latvians murdered at least 50000 people. To hnor trhgeir murderers is not a very positive sign of a real democracy

You, idiot, must know that many Russians were born and lived in Latvia for many years and before Ulmana laikiem. This is their country too and no one can tell to anyone where to live. This is how democracy works!!!
