I have long thought that this was genocide. In fact I suggested to the NAtional Irish Famine Memorial to put the word genocide in it's name.
When ships were lined up outside of Canada for 2 miles waiting to be seen by doctors, many died waiting and were thrown overboard. Why didn't anyone tell England to stop sending those ship. They sent a sick and starving on a long voyage without food. They KNEW what they were doing. It was also a vicious land grab.
