IAF permit 10+3 students for AFCAT

AFCAT exams conducted by IAF for calling candidate for airforce selection boards, AFCAT happens twice a year, there are 3 branches in IAF to serve- flying, ground duty technical & ground duty non technical.

for AFCAT 1 2021 IAF released notification last year but this time they changed guidelines and made 10+2 mandatory for ground duty nontechnical branch (earlier this rule wasn't there) to fill AFCAT form.

whatwill students who did 3yrs diploma engg. after 10th then did their engineering graduation will do ? They also studied 1  extra year as compared to 10+2.

There is no justified reason to make 10+2 compulsory for ground duty, 3yrs diploma course after 10th is considered equivalent to 10+2 system by govt. Also universities grant lateral admission to these students in degree courses.

This system is not present in Indian army, they allow both 10+2 & 10+3 students to appear for technical and general entries.

Then why IAF is doing this discrimination by not allowing 10+3 candidates, it's against right to equality, right to employment and right to equal opportunities, every year thousands of student take this path and do diploma after 10th then graduation, this rule is taking away their chance to serve their country.

Hence this changed guidelines should be taken back soon and earlier order should be restored as the AFCAT 2 2021 application is going on so 10+3 students can also fill the form.
