Sir/Madam OPPOSITION TO GRANTING OF BAIL TO ALLEGED BURGLAR

As the community of Redhill/Avoca, we are outraged by the premeditated, senseless and violent attack by a burglar on a 76 year old, pioneering resident of Avoca on the morning of Saturday, the 17th February 2024.

The burglar brutally assaulted the frail lady and almost strangled her to death. Fortunately, the lady survived because the burglar was apprehended with the swift response by Marshall Security and handed over to Greenwood Park Police for processing under CAS No. 198/02/2024.

As concerned residents of the community, we are vehemently opposed to bail being granted to the transgressor on account of his heinous criminal act. If he is let loose on bail, he might commit a similar or fatal crime, thus posing a threat to the community at large! It would be greatly appreciated that the honourable court considers our opposition to bail being granted to the offender.
