Petition for Reform in the Treatment of Young Artists by Charisma Music Foundation

Dear National Youth service, National Youth Development and National Art Council

I am writing this petition on behalf of the concerned individuals who have experienced significant issues with the operations and management of Charisma Music Foundation. While we acknowledge and appreciate the organization's mission to support young artists, it has come to our attention that there are alarming practices and mishandlings that require immediate attention and reform.

The purpose of this petition is to bring to your attention the following concerns:

  1. Mismanagement of Sensitive Information: We have witnessed  Charisma Music Foundation mishandling sensitive documents such as certified identity cards copies, physical addresses, and bank information of the participants. This information is being shared publicly with other participants, violating the privacy and security of the individuals involved. We demand strict measures to be implemented to protect the confidentiality of artists' personal information.

    1. Irresponsible Leadership Assignments: There have been instances where individuals with no credentials have been given leadership titles within the organization. We urge Charisma Music Foundation to review its leadership/facilitators/team leaders selection process and ensure that qualified and responsible individuals are entrusted with leadership roles.
  2. Lack of Equipment Provision:  Charisma Music Foundation fails to provide proper equipment to participating artists, requesting them to bring their own tools and materials. This not only puts the artists' equipment at risk but also creates an unequal and unfair environment. We call for a reassessment of the organization's equipment provision policies to ensure that all artists have access to the necessary tools for their creative endeavors.

  3. Delayed and Inconsistent Payments: Participants in Charisma Music Foundation programs have faced considerable delays in receiving payments for their contributions. When payments are made, they are often distributed one by one, causing further frustration and inconvenience. We insist that Charisma Music Foundation adopts a transparent and timely payment system to uphold the financial commitments made to the artists.

  4. Unjust Termination of Participants: There have been instances where participants, despite attending the program and signing contracts, were unexpectedly cut from the program. This raises questions about the fairness and transparency of Charisma Music Foundation's decision-making process. We urge the organization to review and revise its termination policies to ensure that participants are treated fairly and justly. As these programs are created for the youth, by youth agencies we believe that the disgruntled and unsatisfactory of these participants deserve the highest form of attention.

We, the undersigned, believe that addressing these concerns is crucial for the well-being of young artists and the credibility of Charisma Music Foundation We request an immediate investigation into these matters and the implementation of necessary reforms to ensure a safe, fair, and supportive environment for all participants.

As a viable solution, we propose a temporary pause on all ongoing programs to facilitate a thorough examination of the organization's practices. It is crucial to assess and address the reported mishandling of sensitive information, irresponsible leadership assignments, lack of equipment provision, delayed and inconsistent payments, and unjust termination of participants.
