Petition requesting MMC for Community Services to reopen Alra Park Swimming Pool

An unannounced oversight inspection by the DA revealed the closure of numerous swimming pools across the City, in particular, the Alra Park Swimming Pool.

Many residents and sporting bodies were left high and dry with no place to practice or cool off during the blazing hot summer days.

The City has not resolved to repair and maintenance issues in preparation for the reopening of swimming pools in the Spring/ Summer Season.

We, the residents of Ward 88 therefore would like to petition the MMC for Community Services, Cllr. Bridget Thusi, to reopen this swimming pool with immediate effect so that our communities and sporting bodies can use the facility.
