PETITION TO LTA: Grab has removed its Super SteadyStreak & GemsMission Scheme to its Grab partner-drivers and replaced with Weekly Cover with Government support of the SRF (Special Relief Fund)

Dear Mr. KHAW BOON WAN

Minister of Transport,

We are a group of PHV drivers mainly driving both Grab and Gojek who are eligible Grab partners in the Grab Super Steady Streak and Missions Scheme. These schemes are used by Grab to retain loyalty of its driver partners by paying incentives on monthly and weekly basis (when certain performance are met). These schemes have been in operation for about 5 years.

Based on the new SRF support by Grab, there is no real increase of income from Grab weekly cover payout since they removed the above 2 schemes and replaced with just one weekly cover. This translate to lesser payout from Grab to driver partners who are on the scheme.

The real increase only comes from the Governmet portion of the weekly support. This is not fair as Grab so-called promised to "add" to our lower revenue due to Covid-19, but this arrangement will mean lower incentive from Grab. The condition for Grab weekly cover also has a condition for partners to achieve equal or more( =/> ) 80 Gems which may not achievable for some drivers due to the low demand now.

We appeal to your honour to relook into this replaced schemes by Grab and direct Grab to maintain these schemes.

Thank you.
