Petition for Full Disclosure and Responsible Spending by Mildura Council on Social Issues

We, the undersigned, are concerned about the use of ratepayers' money by the Mildura Council to promote transgender information to children. We believe that it is not the role of local government to promote controversial social issues and that the use of public funds for this purpose is not justified.

We oppose the use of ratepayers' money to promote transgender concepts to young children, as we believe it may be inappropriate and could be confusing or distressing for some children. We call on the Mildura Council to stop spending ratepayers' money on promoting transgender information to children.

Additionally, we believe that the Mildura Council should ensure full disclosure when promoting minority events, such as LGBTQ+/rainbow events. It is important for the entire community to be informed, not just select groups.

We urge the Mildura Council to focus on its core responsibilities, such as providing essential services to the community, and to refrain from promoting controversial social issues that may be divisive or inappropriate for some members of the community.
