Protect Rietspruit. We need a Police Station.

As a community of Rietspruit we are humbly asking that we too have our own police station situated in the realms of our community, so we can easily assess services from the police, a phone call away. In the past few months we have encountered gruesome problems, including murder, hijacking, rape, house breakin's and no criminals were brought to justice. 1: The Criminal justice process aims to make the criminal justice system more efficient and effective, it must provide a clear detterent for criminals and reduce the risks of re-offending, right? So why are don't our community form under that law? 2: Reducing crime through environmental design focuses on systems to reduce the opportunity for crime and increase the ease of detection and identification of criminals, isn't is? Question: Does this law not apply to us a community? Community members are putting their own lives at risk to patrol the streets on a daily basis to help combat the crimes and to ensure public safety. Is that their rightful field of work? Criminals are often armed so with our community facing numerous of house break ins isn't that putting their lives on the line? 

•Crimes involving firearms which have significantly increased the level of violence associated with crimes, thereby increasing physical and psychological costs of crimes to society. 
• Organised crime, including the organised smuggling of illegal immigrants and narcotics, serve to generate higher levels of criminality and violence. we have seen a rapid growth in this form of crime.
•White collar crime places a burden on the economy and contributes to prevailing of lawfulness. 
• hijacking's and Vehicle theft has increased levels of fear and insecurity. 
A general climate of lawlessness and and serves to undermine the legitimacy and effectiveness of the criminal justice system. 

The absence of services to victims of crime means that negative impact of crimes on individual, family and community is largely ignored. Not only does this contribute to the incidence of repeat victimisation, but may lead to retributive violence, or the perpetration of other crimes displaced into the social or domestic arena.

"THIS IS NOW A CULTURE OF VIOLENCE."

Combating issues like environmental destruction is our main concern and should be adhered to with immediate effect. Authorities should instead find ways to make this place safer. 
Community members have the rights to freedom of expression, right to life, to freedom of association, to privacy and from torture. We are exercising universally recognised human rights. 

It's time to loudly remind those in power of our inalienable rights, to express grievances, and to demand change freely, collectively and publicly. 

We need a police station within the grounds, we have a right to protection. We still have numerous of unsolved cases of murder, rape, hijacking's, cable theft, and now it's house break ins. What next should happen before we are heard? Should there be loss of lives in the midsts of the house break ins?

Should the pupils patrolling the streets at night lose their lives as well? Should family lose their members in the midst of this? This is an urgent call for Help!!
