Save And Restore Geauga Lakes Big Dipper

Big Dipper is a wooden roller coaster at the defunct Geauga Lake amusement park inBainbridge TownshipOhio. Built in 1925, the Big Dipper is an ACE Coaster Classic and anACE Coaster Landmark. However, the award was never officially presented to the park. Until Geauga Lake's closing in September 2007, it was the oldest operating wooden coaster in Ohio, and the 7th oldest operating roller coaster in the USA (12th oldest in the world).

Big Dipper is a piece of our country's history. It has now been proclaimed as the 7th oldest rollercoaster in the US that still stands today. If we get enough petitions, and enough attention, then they may just see that the rollercoaster is a historic landmark and will restore it and make it operational again. And if we get double the amount of petitions needed then maybe they will build a small museum of what is left of geauga lake before they build a Meijer grocery store and houses over top of the former largest theme park in the world.
