Save our forest : Montagu South

The bluegum forest at the foot of the Langeberg, in Montagu South holds many advantages for the Montagu community. The main purpose of the forest is to ensure a stable groundwater level. 

This forest requires excellent management practices to ensure lasting benefits for future generations.

This land belongs to the Municipality AND they owe it to the people of Montagu to ensure its proper wellkeeping and maintenance.

We demand as we are entitled to do, the following:

      1. Proper fencing of the area with notice boards declaring the area as Municipal land with no trespassing allowed

      2. Maintenace of the 15meter fire break around the forest 

Your signature will help enforce on our Municipality, that which should have been done long ago !!
