I am writing to you as a concerned citizen and a passionate advocate for environmental conservation on behalf of Jibhi Valley tourism development and conservation assoceation. I have recently become aware of a grave issue that threatens the health and vitality of our precious natural resource, the Tirthan River. It has come to my attention that illegal garbage dumping is taking place in and around the Tirthan River, posing a severe threat to its ecosystem, aquatic life, and the well-being of the surrounding community.

The Tirthan River, known for its pristine waters and diverse aquatic life, is not just a source of water for local communities but also a hub of biodiversity and a popular tourist destination. However, the unchecked dumping of garbage, including plastics, chemicals, and other pollutants, is not only contaminating the river but also undermining the efforts to preserve this natural wond

er.

We, the undersigned, believe that it is our collective responsibility to protect and preserve the Tirthan River for future generations. To this end, we kindly request your immediate intervention to address this pressing issue and halt the illegal garbage dumping in the Tirthan River.

We respectfully urge you to take the following actions:

• Enforce Strict Regulations: Implement and enforce strict regulations against illegal dumping of waste and pollutants into the Tirthan River, with severe penalties for violators.
• Increase Surveillance: Increase the presence of environmental authorities and law enforcement agencies in the area to deter illegal dumping activities and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Raise Awareness: Launch public awareness campaigns to educate local communities and tourists about the importance of preserving the Tirthan River and the consequences of illegal garbage dumping.
• Cleanup Initiatives: Organize regular river cleanup initiatives involving local communities, volunteers, and environmental organizations to remove existing garbage and restore the river's natural beauty.
• Promote Recycling: Encourage and support recycling programs to reduce the generation of waste and promote responsible waste disposal practices.
• Strengthen Local Governance: Collaborate with local authorities and community leaders to strengthen governance and establish waste management systems that prevent illegal dumping.
• Monitor Water Quality: Regularly monitor the water quality of the Tirthan River to assess the impact of illegal dumping and take corrective measures as needed.

By taking these steps, we believe that the Tirthan River can be safeguarded from further harm and restored to its former glory. We kindly request your immediate attention and action on this matter, as time is of the essence in protecting this invaluable natural resource.
