#1209

My 12 year old son was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 16 months since then he has had to have approx 6-7 finger prick Blood Glucose tests every day of his childhood. The freedom from pain that the new Libre system gives him is so needed.

I am type 1 diabetic. I have had it 30 years and life in ireland as a small child with type 1 was difficult. Life can be easier for my 2 nieces with type 1. Thus device is essential for good control and monitoring without making the child suffer all the time with blood tests. It's available. Why not make it available for every child with type 1 and not just rich families. Stop financial discrimination please
