There is absolutely no reason that Waterford (village or town) should not allow raising chickens as a option for homeowners....even Milwaukee allows it!!

I'm signing this petition because we can all appreciate 'that neighbor' who should just mind there own business.

LET A GIRL KEEP HER CHICKENS.

Abby should be able to own 3 chickens. It is not a business. She is not selling them or the eggs. They are quiet, and less a nuisance than a dog barking or cats wandering. They are her pets and teach her responsibilty. I seriously hope the village considers this change.

Abby deserves her chickens!!!!!

There are bigger problems then chickens. Let the girl have her chickens. Where is the the harm?

(Waterford, 2017-05-21)

It's very clean that this little girl loves and take great care of her chickens and should not be forced to have them taken away.

(Greenfield , 2017-05-21)

Abby and many others deserve to have chickens as they are pets and a good nutritional resource to the family too! Animals teach responsibility and so muvh more that our children need!!

Waterford had FFA in the school district, but does not allow the children to have a few chickens in their yard??? not only is this teaching the children responsibility, but they are feeding their family and possibly others, You go Abby!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

I would rather see l little girl have pet chickens than a vicious dog that all the neighbors are afraid of. Keep the peaceful chickens!

(Rochester, 2017-05-21)

Milwaukee allows chickens why not Waterford or did some forget that this is a farming state

(milwaukee, 2017-05-22)

Hens are peaceful and quiet and there is no reason why anyone can't have them on their property.

Chickens help teach children responsibility at a young age. They are no harm to the community. They're providing food!!

(Donnelly , 2017-05-22)

#248

These chickens are not hurting anyone and they are teach a young girl responsibility! This world needs more parents willing to teach their children responsibility and to care for something other than themselves.

(Milwaukee , 2017-05-22)

#253

This little girl should be allowed to raise her chickens without "the man" busting her chops.

(Milwaukee , 2017-05-22)

I grew up in the Waterford area (wind lake, muskego, Waterford) most my life and have had many friends that raised chickens and it was always the highlight of our childhood, being able to play with them and collect the eggs. It teaches responsibility and agriculture; along with many other things. And Abby has become so attached to her friends that it would be unfair to take them away due to someone's wrong accusations.

This is a reasonable request if a person or household wants to raise certain types of small animals in a city or town they should be allowed to as long as they do everyrhing right (keep area animals are kept clean, animals kept in good condition, proper fencing or containment of them) ive lived in waterford before and other city/town areas. I umderstamd where it might be an issue with noise and the very slim chance of odor but thats why you make guidlines or rules for that like i said keep the area the animals are in clean.and just have proper areas for the animals such as making sure anything thats not supposed to get in or out doesnt. This being allowed would be a good thing for many

Chickens deserve to be loved and treated as pets just as dogs and cats, just as Abby deserves to love ANY species of pet she wants! Furthermore, if she's caring for them and they are happy and healthy, then what's the big deal? Keep on being a great little human to your hens, Abby!

(River Falls, 2017-05-23)

This little girl should be allowed to keep her birds! Other Waterford residents should also be allowed to have chickens. The city people can move back to the city!

(Burlington , 2017-05-25)

Fresh eggs are very healthy -the Village of Waterford should get with the times

(burlington, 2017-05-25)

#280

I'm signing because I'm a resident of Waterford and I believe that chickens should be allowed in small numbers.

(Waterford, 2017-05-25)

#281

The reason why I'm saying this is because checking dogs cats horses pigs cows there's therapy for kids adults little girl this is therapy for her chickens really you want to get rid of chickens I'm in the cities and we can have chickens let her have her chickens . So many things can be taught to this girl . responsibility Carrie problem-solving sharing things in life we also lose which many kids nowadays don't . How selfish are you not letting this little girl chickens may God bless you

(Burnsville, 2017-05-25)

#284

I believe a home owner has the right to have chickens. It is a growing trend and Waterford needs to keep up with the times.

There is no good reason that small livestock shouldn't be kept by landowners anywhere in this country.
