It's 100% unfair & stupid let the poor dog go home to its family.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#202

The is a disgrace and a spit in the face to amazing pets and equally as amazing owners. Not only ripping a beloved pet from his home with no proof and leaving a family distraught but then slapping them with thousands of dollars in fines on top. Disgusted.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#203

This is rubbish. The person was on their property!! A stranger who was trespassing!!! They should be the ones getting charged; not this family being fined and having the life of their beloved pet threatened!!!

(Ipswich , 2017-09-12)

#204

Because the arsehole should not have been in the yard where he was supposedly bitten, the poor dogs only crime was protecting his family and the family home.

(Scarness , 2017-09-12)

#211

This dog should not be killed. The person trespassing should be charged and the dog left alone!

(Gladstone, 2017-09-12)

#217

I'm signing because I think the dogs family is in the right and should get their dog back.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#218

I feel this poor dog was just doing his job protecting his house and family from an intruder . I would hope my dogs would do the same if we had an intruder at my house. Poor dog why does he have to suffer.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#224

If dogs are on their own property and the person bitten is uninvited, unauthorised, no action should ever be taken against the dog

(Wilton, 2017-09-12)

#226

A dog should be allowed to protect their property and their family - enter at your own risk or by invitation.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#232

No one/pet should be punished for protecting the family home

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#233

The council aren't even following their own publicised procedures on this issue.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#240

He was on his own property!

(Maryborough, 2017-09-12)

#241

Because he was protecting his family! WHY does that mean he is marked dangerous? Maybe u should be locked up so u can't protect urs..... free pore Winston

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#244

This dog and this owner have a right to protect their property and loved ones.

(Urraween, 2017-09-12)

#246

Winston shouldn't be put down for protecting his home & family. Why is it that the intruder isn't to blame?

(Burrum Heads, 2017-09-12)

#251

You are abusing a families rights to protect their family.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#253

This dog was doing his job and should not be punished for it!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#254

Because people deserve to feel safe on their own property and be able to keep their property safe, if that means having a guard dog than so be it. If the person is tresspassing they deserve to be bitten by the dog!

(Walkerston , 2017-09-12)

#256

The dog should NOT be put down for defending his home & family!
The person who broke into the property should also pay the fine!
The thief decided to break in so why should Winston & his family suffer.

(Ipswich, 2017-09-12)

#257

This dog is not a dangerous dog, and sick of MRC holding animals to ransom.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#265

Winston is my dog, and what has happened here is a joke

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#267

This is ridiculously stupid behaviour by MRC

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#268

The dog was protecting his home and humans - the guy had no right to be there and good in the dog for biting him!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#271

It's wrong!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#272

This dog was protecting his family, on his family property and should be rewarded not put down. No reasonable response or respect from Mackay council over his matter

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#278

This poor dog should not be put down for defending his yard and family absolute disgrace

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#279

Cause intruders should be the ones that get put down not family dogs

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#280

We are the voice for the dog. Get the low life that chose to enter the property and fine/jail him!! The dog was trying to protect the property.

(Peregian Springs , 2017-09-12)

#289

It is so wrong that the council will do this because a scummy lowlife criminal gets allegedly bitten by a dog protecting its owners and property. How about the council and the courts start treating the criminals the way they deserve to be treated.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#290

I am signing to save Winston. He doesn't deserve to be taken from his family and killed.

(Buderim, 2017-09-12)

#293

This is outrageous conduct from the council. The local laws state that a person can only enter a property in a direct route from road to front door. Anywhere else is not legal and they are tresspassing on private property. The council are not abiding by their own written rules. WHY??? this poor dog has done nothing wrong and neither has the owner so why are they both being victimized? Give the dog back.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#295

This is wrong. Someone entered their yard. And they don't have to provide proof? Since when is it ok to be guilty until proven innocent. This dog deserves a reward not a death sentence!

(Gladstone , 2017-09-12)

#297

dont believe that this dog should be punished, intruder should

(rockhampton, 2017-09-12)

#302

No one should be sneaking around people's backyards at night.

(Coffs Harbour, 2017-09-12)

#303

This dog was protecting it's yard, it's family!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#304

Winston was protecting HIS turf!! The complainant was I never the wrong in my view and council are taking a heavy hand in the wrong direction

(Dolphin Heads, 2017-09-12)

#305

Dogs should be allowed to protect their family and property from intruders

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#306

This is wrong he does not deserve to die this is inhumane set him free

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#311

I'm signing because .. This poor pet was in his own yard not on the street when the incident occurred. I would applaud my dog for biting a person if they entered my premises in the middle of the night. What right does that unknown person have to be on YOUR property. Free winston :(

(Hervey bay, 2017-09-12)

#312

This is not a dangerous dog. It was after dark amd the dog was protecting its house. Council need to check the law. There is a dog across the road from me which chases people and will attack other pets and people. Council knows about it but because they are scared of the dog amd the owners this dog has never been impounded. (Have been told this when i rung the council to put in a complaint) if the council can seize winston without a fight from the animal the n it clearly is not dangerous.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#313

The dog is clearly protecting its property and family from an intruder!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#314

He shouldnt be put down for doing his job n protecting his yard. Its the person fault not the dog.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#317

I think it's unfair that you are putting the dog down. An intruder came into its own yard! Maybe the police need to be involved as to why this person was in the yard to begin with. Good on the dog for protecting its yard.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#319

A dogs duty is to protect its home, an invasion of that deserves far worse then a dog bite. Logic has to prevail here.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#320

It's not Winston's fault he was gaurding and protecting the family home..

(Townsville, 2017-09-12)

#323

A family pet biting someone as act of protecting its family is a canine's natural instinct. Why don't you arrest the individual for trespass rather than persecuting the innocent family. If the dog was truly a dangerous, there would be nothing left of the intruder to falsely report to the council. When did our city councils become judge, jury and executioners anyway. If they say its for public safety then lock up the indiviual who tried to commit the crime, not the innocent dog or its family.

(Bucasia, 2017-09-12)

#324

The intruder should be punished.. The dig was only doing his on as the protector.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#327

I believe that owning a dog is the best protection one can have over family or property....fed up hearing that the perpetrator is the victim....can't get bitten if you weren't where you should have been

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#332

Not only do people buy dogs for love and companionship they get them to protect them and there home especially when an intruder is sneaking in the yard in the middle off the night. If it was not for this brace dog we may be reading a different tittle like man murdered in his own home during midnight robbery gone wrong. This dog is braves and done what it was suppose to be doing. This hero dog deserves to be recognised and not punished for protecting the ones he loves

(Gold coast, 2017-09-12)

#336

This dog done nothing wrong but serve and protect his home he does not deserve to be put down

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#338

he was doing his job!! protecting his property. This rubbish of the victim becoming the target has to stop. The amount of crime in mackay ATM is way out of control. Winston is a hero for stepping up when no one else would!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#342

Decision made by council is wrong, the dog was doing its job & protecting its family. Council are protecting the criminal

(Bucasia, 2017-09-12)

#344

Any dog protecting the property from intruders particularly at night is just doing it's job. The council should not be able to seize any animal without proof supplied to the owners.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#347

This dog was protecting his family from a possible intruder. Who knows what their intention was once gaining access to the property. The human should be impounded not the dog.

(Mackay 4740, 2017-09-12)

#348

I'm signing because a dog should always have an opportunity to protect home and family against threats. To be taken away after biting an intruder, what is the point of having a dog if it cant protect when it needs to

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#349

This dog should be back with his family! Council is a joke to protect the trespassers!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#353

The dog had every right to
Protect his yard and family! This country's a joke!

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#356

This is not the dogs fault...the dog did the right thing... you cannot kill an innocent animal...
the person trespassing should be punished he provoked the dog.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#357

Within the confines of a property your pet should be able to protect its family and not be declared dangerous. In any animal being territorial is normal and expected especially when an unfamiliar man full of adrenaline breaks into their domain.
Save Winston.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#359

You shouldnt tresspass
Dog is in the right!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#362

This dog was only doing its job of protecting its owners property which, in this day and age, is one of the main reasons most people keep a dog - to help protect their family from intruders. The council has got this all muffed up and, in this case, is punishing the wrong animal. We have a right to protect ourselves against intruders, we can't legally use a gun and now it appears that we can't legally use a dog so what can we use to protect ourselves? If this was my dog I would protect its life with my life and the council would have one hell of a *hitfight on its hands I can tell you. This is just totally wrong on all levels - get your act together council.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#363

Because this is wrong, if someone comes onto your property they are in the wrong and this poor family is now being punished for their dog trying to protect them, that doesn't make this pup dangerous at all. I'm signing to help do what's right.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#366

Dog was only protecting its property.
The intruder should be euthanized not the dog.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#370

This puppy was only protectiing his yard and the intruder got what they deseved

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#376

This poor dog was protecting his family and should not be put down over it!

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#377

I'm signing because no1 should lose their much loved pet especially if it's just protecting the ones that love him. Pets r family & family stick 2gether xx

(Queensland, 2017-09-12)

#379

The dog was protecting his home and the intruder got whatbhe deserved. Please have a heart and give the dog back to do his job

(Gladstone , 2017-09-12)

#385

He should not be put down for defending his property that's cruel !

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#390

Personally know the owner and dog and know that the dog would bite unless provoked.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#393

the person came into that dogs backyard, the dog was being protective. THE DOG IS NOT DANGEROUS YOU ABSOLUTE IDIOTS, it is PROTECTIVE of its FAMILY

(Coffs Harbour, 2017-09-12)

#395

THE DOG HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING!! JUST TRYING TO PROTECT HIS YARD AND HUMANS!! THE PERSON WHO HAS FILED THE COMPLAINT SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#397

Councils kill to many animals

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-12)

#400

This is ludicrous!
Let Winston go home and protect his family.

(Marian, 2017-09-12)
