Because Winston should not lose his for protecting his family.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#407

The dog did what dogs do if someone tries to come into their territory. Protects his house and family.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#408

I think it totally unfair an animal keeping it's owners property safe is now going to be put down for doing just that. Why give criminals all the choice over defenceless hard-working families wanting to keep what belongs to them.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#411

This dog should not be put down

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#412

This is silliness and where does common sense come in at what point

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#414

I'm signing because this is unfair due to the person being bit was an intruder to the property and the dog has every right to protect his own home.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#415

The dog was defending it's territory. The person "bitten" needs no proof and obviously not honest as they were on someone's property in the middle of the night is not suspect? This is so wrong!

(Bucasia, 2017-09-12)

#416

The dog is not at fault

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-12)

#419

Free the gorgeous puppy ❤

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#426

That dog was just defending his/hers family and if a human did that Soceity would pat him on the back and say the intruder needs to go to jail but no this dog defends his own family and owners and now he will die for it

(Nsw, 2017-09-12)

#427

Why should a dog be put down for defending its home and its family from an intruder

(Clermont , 2017-09-12)

#428

Dogs have a natural instinct to protect their home and family, this dog was only doing what it should have.

(Buderim , 2017-09-12)

#431

Winston deserves to live ❤️

(Sydney, 2017-09-12)

#432

Winston was only doing his job protecting his family. And whatever law it is that says you can kill a dog with no proof that it did anything wrong, is draconian.

(Bundaberg , 2017-09-12)

#433

If your dog cant protect your home from an intruder in the middle of the night thats madness...free the good loyal dog for protecting his home...this makes me very angry im a dog lover and the dog doesnt deserve to die

(Grafton, 2017-09-12)

#434

The dog is not dangerous to anyone. Who knows why he bit. I guess he had no other way of protecting he family. Give him a medal not a bullet.

(Proserpine, 2017-09-12)

#436

Free Winston!!!! That poor family dog did nothing wrong in his OWN yard!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#438

We have a right to live safely in our own homes. Pets are a part of our families!!

(Andergrove, 2017-09-12)

#442

It not the dogs fault .

(Ipswich , 2017-09-12)

#443

Because this is bullshit when is on private property firstly and secondly that you can support the person who was in somebodies property and with no proof. This country has gone to shit. If mine does it i dare you to try come and take him away.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#447

This is wrong, the dog was just protecting his home.

(Rockhampton , 2017-09-12)

#450

This is completely unjust!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#453

If Winston bit an intruder, he was doing what everyone expects of their dog, to guard their property

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#455

This dog was clearly doing its job!
I would except my dog to do the same thing if an intruder came into my house!

(Brisbane , 2017-09-12)

#458

In these situations it is never the animals fault - it's the humans that need educating! A disgraceful act by the Council.

(Melbourne, 2017-09-12)

#459

This dog was doing what it thought was the right thing
PROTECTING its family.
Please do not take him away from his.family for looking after them.

(Hervey Bay, 2017-09-12)

#463

The mackay council is the most disgusting form of depravity and hypocrisy that I have ever witnessed. Such a nanny state trying to control every aspect of living.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#465

No dogs deserves this, especially when the intruder gotten bitten.. AN INTRUDER

(Adelaide, 2017-09-12)

#466

No dog should be put down for biting an intruder on your own property. Let alone without any proof having to be proof having to be provided.

(Emerald, 2017-09-12)

#467

The dog was in its own yard and you wonder why criminals get away with stealing people's property these days I reckon the dog deserves a second chance as Winston was only doing his job. Kind regards Taylor please save him from death row guys.

(mackay, 2017-09-12)

#468

The dog was inside it's own property! What could have happened to the property owners if not for their loyal companion? This is morally and ethically wrong!! The person who entered the yard did so at their own risk and should be held accountable!

(Cairns , 2017-09-12)

#469

I also have guard dogs

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#471

How can you destroy a dog that was within its fenced yard, defending against an intruder? Do you people have no logic?

(Noosaville , 2017-09-12)

#472

This Dog protecting its family should not have to loose its life. What a joke.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#474

The dog was only protecting the owner and the property in the middle of the night. The person who broke into the yard was the one at fault here and deserved what he got.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#475

He deserves to be home with his family. Doing what a dog does.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#480

Because this dog should be given more of a chance and maybe some evidence should be given to the family. This is absaloutlet ridiculous and disgraceful of us as a human being to let this happen!!!!!!

(Brisbane , 2017-09-12)

#481

I'm signing this because the dog was not in the wrong and the intruder should be held accountable for his own stupidity. How about you focus on the crime rate in Mackay and leave the dog alone

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#482

Its not fair

(garbutt, 2017-09-12)

#490

No dog deserves to be put down for protecting his home!!

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#492

Those with a case filed against them as such, should be provided viable evidence backing these claims. Animals should not be seized and/or killed without appropriate evidence given by those filing a claim. It is inhumane, unethical and generally wrong. This should be put to a stop, and council policies should be revisited to provide justice for not only the animal but their families/owners also.

Lastly, why shouldn't an animal feel the urge to protect against intruders. In fact, if the dog did allegedly "bite", why was this person trespassing on the owners property. If anything, the person filing the case against the dog, should be investigated for unlawful entry and trespassing onto property.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#494

Dog's should be able to guard and protect their family home

(South Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#495

The dog was protecting his home. They should be prosecuting the idiot who was in the dogs yard .... in the middle of the night.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#497

Because a dog who is protecting their yard from an intruder in the middle of the night should not be put down!!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#501

If my dogs bit a intruder id be giving them treats not a death sentence

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#502

I believe a dog should not be punished for protecting his home and family from intruders!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#517

The council is being ridiculous and disgusting on this matter, why murder the dog and punish the family instead of the criminal!? Ludicrous, utter nonsense.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#521

Im signing because this is wrong . The dog was doing its job by protecting the house and its family from potential danger as well as loss of property. Why should this dog loose for some scum who chooses to do the wrong thing and steal.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#524

This dogs deserve rewarding not death!!!

(Gladstone , 2017-09-12)

#529

Because I find this just unfair. The dog was just trying to protect.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#532

Winston was only doing his job and the council won't put forward the witnesses for a fare trial.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#535

I'm not a cunt

(Hervey Bay , 2017-09-12)

#537

I'm signing this because I feel like this is so wrong , how can You prove winston had bitten ?? And if he did he was only protecting his land, everyone with half a brain wouldn't go in a yard with a dog they don't know, clearly who's in charge hasn't got a heart or had a animal witch if family , dogs can talk and it for the owners to speak for them .

(Porthedland, 2017-09-12)

#539

Dictatorship at it's finest... no proof no killing

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#541

the dog was right to do it.

(mackay, 2017-09-12)

#542

I'm signing because I believe people should be able to feel safe within their own homes. Taking this innocent dogs life because he was doing his job - protecting his family- is complete bull! We need to stop blaming the innocent and start holding the perpetrators accountable for their actions!
FACT: they should not have entered a premisis that doesn't belong to them or where they were not being welcomed by the owners to enter as a guest.

(Sarina, 2017-09-12)

#548

This poor dog was protecting his family and should not be punished. This is disgusting behaviour from the Council. An intruder gets let off and a family protecting dog gets killed.

(Toowoomba , 2017-09-12)

#550

Because This is bullshit he was protecting his home!

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#551

If an unknown person was on my property at an unusually early hour in the morning I would hope my dog would react and alert me that there is an intruder on my property. Show them the proof of the bite and the person bitten can explain what they were doing there at such an unreasonable hour

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#553

Absoloutely disgusting Mackay council!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#560

This is wrong, free winston

(Majors creek, 2017-09-12)

#563

Its wrong for council to side with criminals. Dog is innocent!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#564

I believe the dog should not be put down for pryltecting its territory. The person who was TRESSPASSING should be the one in trouble weather the dog did it or not!!!!

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#565

Dogs shouldn't be put down for protecting their families

(Port Pirie , 2017-09-12)

#566

This is ridiculous that someone can attempt ro unlawfully enter another persons residence and then cry wolf because the dog was doing his job and protecting the property and family. What the hell is happening to the intruder????
This is so wrong

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#567

I'm signing this petition because our families need protection!!! Our loyal pets are at our homes 24/7 and they will always protect us...

(Sarina, 2017-09-12)

#569

The dog was protecting his family

(Sarina, 2017-09-12)

#573

A dogs job is to protect family and home.... the intruder should be put down

(Wollongong, 2017-09-12)

#574

I'm signing this because I think it is wrong that this dog will be put down for protecting its family

(Moranbah, 2017-09-12)

#581

Winton was doing what he was meant to do regardless of which side of the fence he was one he still on his property. Criminals do not have rights!

(Townsville , 2017-09-12)

#587

This is not fair and the community disagrees with councils actions!

(Brisbane , 2017-09-12)

#589

How DARE the Council seize this innocent animal ..(for 2 reasons) - 1. He was protecting his FAMILY'S property - NOT outside on the footpath/road NOR out of HIS yard...2. This so-called alleged bite *Victim* was NOT inside the FAMILY'S personal yard by given invitation/permission AND given time of the Intruder's visit to the property should not therefore have been on the property! FREE WINSTON .... NOW!!

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#593

Because this dog should not be put down for what it did

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#594

Dog was doing its job protecting the family. The intruder is the one that should be punished. Such outdated laws that protect the criminals. Time for change.....

(Brisbane , 2017-09-12)

#596

This dog was protecting his family .. he is beautiful and is loved a lot and he is a loving dog .. only humans are mean and nasty

(Emerald, 2017-09-12)

#599

I'm signing this because a dog is a form of safety and an intruder deserves to be bitten. Anyone could lie and say they witnessed any dog biting someone.
Hang your heads in shame!!!!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#600

It is WRONG WRONG WRONG

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)
