I have a dog and it was defending its property. It shouldn't be put down

(Dromana , 2017-09-12)

#606

Why should a family suffer a lost of a family pet because some one was being an intruder and the dog was just keeping his family safe from a possible attack or break in

(Sydney , 2017-09-12)

#607

Anyone who breaks into someone else's yard deserves to get mauled by any animal that is simply protecting there owners and there owners family and property...

(Morayfield, 2017-09-12)

#609

I believe that it is not the fault of the dog who was just protecting its property. Why are criminals protected for breaking the law.
Makes no sense

(Perth , 2017-09-12)

#610

I am a dog lover any dog protecting in there own yard should never be put to sleep. He is adorable look into his eyes.

(South maclay, 2017-09-12)

#611

This is a discusting act against an animal that clearly had a right to be on his property. You idiots are going to kill a dog that in the dark SUPPOSEDLY attacted a person that had NO RIGHT to be there? Discusting use of power by the authorities. .

(Walterhall, 2017-09-12)

#615

Intruders/thiefs deserve to get bitten or bashed cas in the end the courts let them away with it an do it all over again. People work hard for what they got why kill a dog from protecting his family an territory

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#618

I'm signing this petition because we have animals to be loyal to us and protect us. This is exactly what Winston done. He was being loyal and protecting his owner.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#630

The dog was just protecting he's yard..Where he's loving family lives..

(Airlie Beach, 2017-09-12)

#632

This dog was protecting it family and property, the person was in wrong why should the dog lose his life because this individual couldn't do the right thing.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#634

Because what they are doing is just wrong.

(Rockhampton, 2017-09-12)

#635

Winston needs to go home as he has done nothing wrong.

(Pennington, 2017-09-12)

#637

You know youre not doing whats right here MRC. Its a sad day when a person cant protect their family or property. Its so UNAUSTRALIAN

(mackay, 2017-09-12)

#638

This dog should not be punished for protecting its family while they were in their home! Why are we always the ones to be punished when someone else comes into our home.

(Port Elizabeth, 2017-09-12)

#639

If your dog is not safe in your own yard how do you protect your animals

(Sydney, 2017-09-12)

#640

People don't just get dogs as companions, they get them to protect their properties, and when this dog does what he's suppose to do he gets a death sentence. So wrong. Why should criminals be put above this animal doing what he knows to do & that is protect his owners property.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#643

This is so wrong... no proof or anything. All the dog was doing was protecting his family like a loyal, faithful dog.

(Townsville, 2017-09-12)

#646

This is a loving family dog protecting his family on his own property. The one at fault here is the intruder. If they were in his property they deserve anything they got!!

(Cooma , 2017-09-12)

#648

Family pets shouldn't be punished for protecting their family.

(Bucasia , 2017-09-12)

#652

MRC are a joke

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#653

Its not a good idea the police, and the justice system cant resolve the problem about theft n robbery in Mackay and the only option is have a dog in the yard to protect our family n others,

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#654

Winston deserves to be with his family!

(Brisbane , 2017-09-12)

#656

its right and just... and because obviously the uneducated law needs to be educated on how to do their job correctly...

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#660

I'm signing because this is ridiculous. I have dogs to keep me save and protect me from intruders. The person who got bitten should be charged for trespassing and not the dog for doing a great job.

(Mountain creek, 2017-09-12)

#663

This dog should was on his own property and defending it!

(Tewantin, 2017-09-12)

#667

This dog was doing his job.... it is unfair to seize him and euthanise him for protecting his family.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#668

He should not die for protecting his home from invaders.

(KAMBAH, 2017-09-12)

#674

The Trespasser is in the wrong, not Winston. This dog was only protecting his family like any one would do.

(Townsville, 2017-09-12)

#675

Dogs protecting their families and homes should not be punished.

(bRISBANE, 2017-09-12)

#676

It is not right if some one enter my place with the intend to do wrong. And my dog attack them . the dog only knows to love his family and friends .dogs protect there family that is the only way they say thanks to there family . any way where the proof and why is this person charge with trespassing . I know what I would do :((

(Cannon vale, 2017-09-12)

#677

if a dog bites some1 who isnt supposed to be in there yard well that is fine,,the dog is doing a good job..

(Emu Park, 2017-09-12)

#680

The dog was only protecting its family that person entered at its own risk

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#684

The dog did it's job and protected

(Townsville , 2017-09-12)

#689

This is a disgrace! Mackay City Council should be disgusted with their behaviour. Free Winston and let him go back to his family and home he was protecting from an intruder!!!!

(Koumala, 2017-09-12)

#692

The dog was protecting its humans & its property please don't murder rhis beautiful animal

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#693

Save Winston and hopefully help all the other death row babies

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#695

I believe Winston has done nothing wrong. He was protecting his property that the person was clearly entering suspiciously. He was only doing what we want dogs to do. Protect their property.

(Dalby, 2017-09-12)

#696

I think this is wrong that a person can enter your yard in the middle of the night apparently up to no good.Good on the dog he was only protecting his territory ,have some common sense Council hope next time it is one of your yard the intruder enters

(Townsville , 2017-09-12)

#697

The dog was doing his job, protection his family from an intruder. If anything the intruder should be changed not an innocent dog

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#698

Dog was doing his job better than the shire is.

(BERSERKER, 2017-09-12)

#700

Losing a family pet is like losing a family member your pet is part of your family this dog was protecting his home and family. the mackay city council should be ashamed of them selves this has been the most shocking news ive herd in the mackay region. PLEASE HAVE A HEART AND GIVE WINSTON BACK TO HIS FAMILY. DONT BE MURDERS MACKAY CITY COUNCIL.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#701

Its wrong on too many levels

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#702

If the dog bit an intruder it was just doing its job. By punishing the dog and it's owners, that just sends a clear message to criminals that they can get away with anything.

(Balgal Beach, 2017-09-12)

#703

This can't keep happening! Dogs are family.

(Campwin Beach, 2017-09-12)

#707

This should not be happening Council is a disgrace.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#709

We had intruder one morning too and if it wouldn't be our dog we would be robered too. He run for his life even woke some neighbours as he shut the gate in hury behind. Would be very pissed off if this would happen to us. We live 3 houses from juveniles so guess we are very lucky to have our boy to protect our property. The police knows about this house and they are regularly called by our neighbours in one km radius cos the break-in.

(Kings Park , 2017-09-12)

#710

how dare they put this dog down. he was protecting his property and a lowlife scum was in his property

(ayr, 2017-09-12)

#711

because its ridiculous its the dog home it was a intruder the dog was protecting his the place

(bundaberg, 2017-09-12)

#713

Are you kidding Me ??? This dog defends his home in the middle of the night, .....with no previous history of attacking, and the trespasser gets to voice a complaint and have the dog killed ???

(ALLENBY GARDENS, 2017-09-12)

#715

All animals should have the rights of humans , innocent until proven guilty

(Charters Towers , 2017-09-12)

#716

Common sense.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#718

If the dog was protecting his family from an intruder he should not be put down... nor should there be a fine. The intruder should be punished.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#723

Dogs should not be put down for protecting their yard from intruders!

(Marian, 2017-09-12)

#724

If my dog was in the same boat I'd be pissed off too.
Isn't this part of the reason people have dogs? It was only protecting its family and territory.

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#727

Winston needs to be rewarded , not killed for protecting his family . Please give Winston back to his family . What was the intruders intentions ?
Murder , Burglary , Rape ? . Lock that two legged Dog up & take him from his family . On Yah Winston <3 <3 <3

(Orkabie, 2017-09-12)

#731

Don't believe this dog should be killed. He was protecting his property only doing his job

(Bowen, 2017-09-12)

#736

This dog is a hero, protecting his family from who knows what lurking around a family home.

(Hay point, 2017-09-12)

#737

This is bullshit...the dog was protecting its family ... scumbag thief should pay fine ..bullshit legislation ... this dog is family

(Townsville, 2017-09-12)

#738

The dog was only protecting what was his. The family and it possessions

(Eton , 2017-09-12)

#742

This guard dog was doing it's job as expected. Unlawfully enter someone's property, expect to be punished.

(Cannonvale, 2017-09-12)

#747

This dog was only doing his job in his own back yard !!!!!

(Mount Surround , 2017-09-12)

#750

Because this dog was only protecting his owners premises. We have lost site that someone broke into their yard, the dog did not do this outside the premises and yet now both owner and dog must be punished. The ones that should be punished is the intruders trying to break in.
Have a bit of common sense.

(Townsville, 2017-09-12)

#753

Stop the death row of dogs

(Emerald , 2017-09-12)

#755

This dog was protecting his family from an intruder!!!

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#757

Council need to change their laws

(North Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#758

This is a family dog
He was protecting his family
On his own tiurf
Noone on earth is god, I believe noone gets the right to call death on another living thing.
Who the heck do they think they are
We r called as humans to love this is cruel insensitive and ungrounded
The dog could wear a safety alert collar or a dangerous dog tag if absolutely necessary! And thats not regarding a need to do that just merely giving dictators a alternative strategy!
But to take his life and deliberately cause many family members a life time of truma they would want to hope this family doest get friendly with a law suit.
To take this dog life is wrong

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#761

Winston was doing his job of protecting his family home. People have dogs for this exact reason!! He was not roaming the streets and randomly attacked someone. What has the justice system come too, protecting thieves and liars?! No one is safe anymore, due to the drug abuse in this town the people that are doing wrong thing seem to prevail!

(Sarina, 2017-09-12)

#763

I'm Signing because every living thing should live a full life. No one or people should be able to choose when something should die or not. If Animals had a voice they would be saying a lot.

(Darwin , 2017-09-12)

#767

There was no proof that this was the dog that bite the intruder, also as quoted he was intruding on someone's property with the intent to break the law, if it is true then the dog was protecting its owner this is not a normal case of someone being bitten by a dog,

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#768

This dog is only doing what dog owners want their pets to do... PROTECT THEIR FAMILY!
People shouldn't be in others yards anyway?
I would be proud if my dog bit someone who was on my private property!! It would mean she was doing her job!

(Gladstone, 2017-09-12)

#770

This is crap, this dog was protecting his family from an intruder. Dogs should not be punished for protecting, as we would do the same.

(MUSWELLBROOK (NSW), 2017-09-12)

#771

He shouldnt be put done for protecting his family

(Mackay , 2017-09-12)

#783

The dog was protecting his property

(Coppabella , 2017-09-12)

#784

The dog has no write to die....the stranger in the garden should be punished. ....this is outrageous. ....

(Caloundra , 2017-09-12)

#785

Winston did what any loving family member would do and try to protect his family

(Perth wa, 2017-09-12)

#786

I am signing this because the dog was protecting the home and family from someone breaking the law.

(Brisbane, 2017-09-12)

#787

The dog isn't at fault when contained in his yard and an intruder comes in that's why people have dogs I have 2 guard dogs that would do the same thing.

(Mackay, 2017-09-12)

#788

This dog has done nothing wrong other theb protect his family

(Emerald, 2017-09-12)

#790

I'm signing because a dog should not be declared dangerous for protecting its property and family! If there is an intruder it is perfectly justified for the dog to bite! Save Winston!

(Bundaberg, 2017-09-12)

#791

Dogs should not be stolen and put on death row when protecting its own property from criminals.
