I personally know ex gays... What if a person does not want to be gay and sincerely wants prayer for a miracle?

Edward Thomas (Oxford , 2018-07-06)

#11

I oppose totalitarianism.

Dr Steve Hakes (Batley, 2018-07-06)

#13

I believe that this is a dangerous law, not only for those of us that see it as a further erosion of our fundamental rights to free speech as Christians but in time it will insidiously make its way into other areas of life. God help us

Joan-A MacLennan (LONDON, 2018-07-06)

#14

People ought to have choice of what they want and the help they desire.

Frances Aldridge (Letchworth Garden City, 2018-07-06)

When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord will raise up a standard against him.

Jan Francis (Trowbridge, 2018-07-06)

I f people want therapy then they should not only get it but also have unhindered access to it. To restrict this means that we are DICTATING to people what they can and cannot have in their search for help.

Anna Noel-Roduner (Northampton, 2018-07-06)

#20

I think gays need all the help they can get to shed their perversion and please God.

Viv Parker (Norfolk, 2018-07-06)

#21

They need to speak to X-rays whose lives have been saved by Christian psychologists and not reportedly awful secular treatment.

Jennifer Brosnan (London, 2018-07-06)

#26

I'm signing because it infriges on our rights to carry out part of the great commission.

linford Henry (London, 2018-07-06)

#27

keep the freedom of choice.

Jane Hampson (Melbourne, 2018-07-06)

#28

I want to see captives set free and believe to help people we need to have freedom ourselves.

Michael Peters (Bury St Edmunds, 2018-07-06)

#37

It is wrong to prevent someone who wishes to be 'straight' from being helped if this is what they wish

Jean Dunning (Arundel, 2018-07-06)

#42

The UK Government is slipping towards dictatorship by the few over the many.

Paul Hazeldine (Walton-on-Thames, 2018-07-06)

#44

I anticipate that the use to which the proposed legislation will be put will not be limited to the prosecution of crimes of quackery, the pretext for the law. (In any case, banning homeopathy is ahead in that queue.) I believe that it will be used mainly to prosecute faith crimes, due a failure to distinguish between what I will call "faith crimes" (i.e. practising a religion disliked by the state) and quackery (bogus medicine).

John Allman (Okehampton, 2018-07-06)

#47

Everyone has a right to choose . God has given us the ability to choose. He never made us robots or held a gun at our heads. The gays have openly said they are going smash heteronormativity and that they are going to pursue World domination; We will not bow to the these tyrants but more than that they should not expect to imagine or contrive to enslave a nation with homosexuality with impunity

David Skinner (Bournemouth, 2018-07-06)

#49

Some people might actually want the therapy!

Jim Burney (Runcorn, 2018-07-06)

#52

To be allowed to seek help to alleviate any unwanted personal condition is a basic right in any civilised society

Brian Shersby (Chichester, 2018-07-06)

#53

I believe it to be abhorrent for any government to legislate in a manner that would criminalise prayer and/or freedom to choose help or therapy for an unwanted orientation.

Philip Head (Liskeard, 2018-07-06)

#58

As a Christian, living in what is (still... just) a Christian country, I am not ashamed of the gospel - it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. This gospel is for everyone. John 8:36: "If the Son [of God, the Lord Jesus Christ] therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."

Pam Bateman (Isle of Lewis, 2018-07-06)

#59

This removes freedom of choice, freedom of rights, it is draconian, and more it prevents those seeking help or advice from finding it. It is demonic.

Nigel Boatman (Caversham, 2018-07-06)

#60

By repenting of our sins, whatever they may be, we can find forgiveness and salvation if we ask Jesus to be our Lord and Saviour. Often this means changing our thought patterns and lifestyles and we may need others to help us change. This can often be someone who has had the same or similar experience. This new law would prevent access to help; access that is freely chosen and freely given.

Grace Mason (Leicester, 2018-07-06)

#70

I believe that it is possible for a person to become free from same sex attraction through prayer, if the person so desires.

Nigel Reilly (Wimborne, 2018-07-06)

#72

I believe Mrs May is going too far banning such therapy

Conway Castle-Knight (London, 2018-07-06)

#73

People from all backgrounds have every right to seek help/counselling/therapy, should they have the desire to do so.

Charlotte Johnson (Trowbridge, 2018-07-06)

#76

Because, as a Disciple of Jesus I want to have the opportunity to share his love for all humanity by helping them to choose God's ways. The proposed legislation will deny me the opportunity to share freely what the Bible clearly teaches us.

Barrie Stocks (Dundee, 2018-07-06)

#82

contrary to the Word of God, which is the only rule for our direction.

Donald & Marion MacCuish (Inverness, 2018-07-06)

#87

This is a total attack on free speech and freedom of expression. Most people won't want these talking therapies/counselling but there are others out there who do want it.

shirley jenkins (melksham, 2018-07-06)

#94

It’s imperative that anyone wanting to convert from same sex attraction should be given the opportunity. It should be their inalienable right.

IRENE Faseyi (Crewe, 2018-07-06)

#97

This is yet another proposition which will reduce freedom of speech. People should have the right to receive help if they want it. It is also completely against Christian principles

Pauline Bentley (Birkenhead, 2018-07-06)

#104

I consider the government proposals to be discriminatory against core Christian values,

Margaret Dunn (Caernarfon, 2018-07-06)

#117

It's totally wrong to outlaw reasonable aspirations.

John Fletcher (Keighley, 2018-07-06)

#119

People should have the choice.

Tracy Green (Alfreton, 2018-07-06)

#120

The government does not have a right to enforce any particular sexual orientation on people. If it is taking this approach then it is saying that a person carotenoids to change their sexual orientation, whether homosexual or heterosexual. At the same time they allow for people to change their gender. This is inconsistent and people should be allowed to choose.

Thomas Todd (Kelly, County Antrim, 2018-07-06)

#121

Our fathers and grandfathers died upholding Christian values including freedom to speak and freedom to think. Regrettably, other minorities who shout the loudest and accuse those who disagree with their views as bigots. Name calling is pretty childish and governments should understand that it is tolerance we need in this country not banning orders designed to shut down opposition.

Kenneth Stent (Wokingham, 2018-07-06)

#122

Such lopsided legislation is unfair and an infringement of freedom of choice.

Ray Graham (Shrewsbury , 2018-07-06)

#125

Freedom is a precious thing, not to be used against others but to enable choice in all forms - including Christianity.

Philip Clark (Immingham, 2018-07-06)

#126

I am a Bible believing Christian who believes God made us male and female

Rosamund Weissman (LONDON, 2018-07-06)

#128

Choose not to have an attack on those who are not for same-sex marriage and no attach on those who wish to pray for people and no attach on those who are for total religious freedom in our country

Loretta Hopkins (Portland, 2018-07-06)

#130

I am appalled at the way we are losing our freedoms that men and women died for.

Roy Hopkins (Spilsby, 2018-07-06)

#131

There is already too much government control and
interference in sensitive issues of deeply held
convictions and beliefs in the areas of sexualityand
parental influence.

Arthur Howe (Wirral, 2018-07-06)

#132

I'm signing because this therapy helps some people. To ban it is not fair on those sufffering and needing help and support. I thought we were trying to be a more caring society? This would be a retrograde step.

Kathryn Simpson (Penn, 2018-07-06)

#135

Freedom of speech is important

DONALASDAIR SMITH (ISLE OF LEWIS scotland, 2018-07-06)

#136

Therapy can help people who are confused about their sexuality or want to change.

Mary Kelsey (Royal Leamington Spa CV31 3LD, 2018-07-06)

#138

I believe that God is able to change our lives when we give ourselves to Him

Owen Nicholds (Birmingham, 2018-07-06)

#139

A genuine form of help is being deliberately misrepresented to criminalise those who offer it.

Alan Williams (Cottingham , 2018-07-06)

#143

Firstly because for freedom of speech. Secondly because same-sex marriage is an unnatural act and is a sin in the eyes of most religions and was once a sin in the eyes of all Society within Europe. Immoral ideology has destroyed moral tradition and moral decency.

Michael james (London, 2018-07-06)

#148

If someone is ill we would not refuse a doctor or hospital appointment. What intolerance is driving the LGBT madness?

Richard Brading (Cambridge, 2018-07-06)

#150

Even if we do not agree with the living patterns of others, they have a right to them.

John Sherwell (Margate, 2018-07-06)

#155

People should be able to make their own choices about the help they wish to seek. This is not a matter for government interference.

Elizabeth Wilson (Cranbrook, 2018-07-06)

#162

I'm defending people's right to access gay conversion therapy if they want to

Kathleen Watson (Littlehampton, 2018-07-06)

#170

I'm signing because to ban therapy is bowing to a very vocal minority, who are happy to curtail everyone else's freedom with false claims of persecution.

Roland Jarrett (Newport, 2018-07-06)

#171

Homosexuals are using the Government, Judiciary, Businesses and the Media to Bully the entire society to accept their biblically-abominable and damnable practices as NORM. NO to Intolerant BIGOTRY from the pit of Hell.

Tennyson Kpohraror (Romford, 2018-07-06)

#172

The State is acting as both state and church, even an authoritarian church, removing freedom of choice and conscience.

Stuart Wall (White (British), 2018-07-06)

#173

I believe it is the right of gay individuals who wish to access conversion therapy, to have a means whereby this option is available to them.

Pauline Ann Anderson (Romford, 2018-07-06)

#175

My Brother In The Lord sought help after living In Amsterdam for 3 years and succumbing to 'a' homosexual experience(s). He received complete Healing and Is now very happily married with a son-he knows the Blessing he received In that 'treatment center' can be just what many, many lost souls need In their lives too.

John Doyle (Dublin, 2018-07-06)

#176

I cannot understand or believe that anyone has the authority to stop a person seeking genuine help of any sort, especially gay conversion therapy.

Malcolm Coombe (Oxted, 2018-07-06)

God will take control of this issue, the earth is His and it's fullness.

SARAH NABIRYE (LONDON, 2018-07-06)

#185

I believe in freedom.

Peter Worsley (Cheltenham, 2018-07-06)

#187

Gay conversion therapy should never be banned as this would be be blatantly against the human rights of all those who wish to receive it. The government discourages many actions which are contrary to the well-being of the individual and those with whom they associate. For example; obesity, drugs, drink and even smoking. Many avenues have been put in place by the government to help people overcome such needs/addictions. So why stop conversion therapy rather than encouraging it in order to help people overcome same-sex attraction, which research shows can be dangerous for the individual and those with whom they associate, as well as having far reaching adverse repercussions for the stable family structure for our future generations.
See: http://www.equip.org/articles/is-homosexuality-a-healthy-lifestyle/ ]
In his book “The God of Sex”, Dr. Peter R. Jones wrote: “Gay sex is dangerous. Physical injuries
of the intestines and the rectum come not from extremist behavior but from the actual regular
practice associated with gay sex, for which the body was not designed – rimming, fisting, anal
intercourse, barebacking and direct contact with faecal matter”.
See also this more recent scientific study which refutes the LGBT assertion that gays are
necessarily ‘born that way’.

If someone wants therapy they should be free to choose therapy. It is wrong to deny an adult therapy because you think they should not have therapy. Adults should have the right to choose for themselves.

Arnold Tarling (London, 2018-07-06)

#191

To only let people move from heterosexual to homosexual, but refuse the right of people to seek help to move away from homosexuality is biased and wrong. It is also wrong to criminalise Christian prayer or counselling.

Andrew Drapper (Dorchester, 2018-07-06)

#192

I think a person should be free to choose whether he wishes to practice homosexuality, or whether he wishes to get help not to do so.

David Williams (Neath, 2018-07-06)

#195

I am totally appalled that someone who has unwanted or out of control same sex attraction should be barred from getting help to reduce their activity. No one would dare say that to someone with out of control drinking.

Deborah Pitt (Penarth, 2018-07-06)

#196

I am signing because people should have the option of therapy if they chose.
It is not for the Nanny State to control how we think and act with our own life styles and health.
