I am signing because I believe that those who experience same sex attraction and who wish to seek help/counselling relating to this should have the right and the opportunity to do so.
It is time the government and the media stoppped concentrating on the horror stories and report on all those who have sought help and found it to be a positive not a negative experience.

We must expose the gradual erosion of our liberties by principalities & powers in high places & must fight for freedom of choice & free speech in our nation.

Helen Curtis (Guildford, 2018-07-06)

#212

This is an attack on freedom of expression.

Kathleen Garner (South Croydon, Surrey., 2018-07-07)

Anyone with ANY type of addiction should be free to seek and receive professional help, counselling and advice

Anthony Bennett (Shrewsbury, 2018-07-07)

#215

These people should have the freedom to get help to change to living “Straight”.

Peter Little (Wellingborough, 2018-07-07)

#218

Freedom of speech is precious and should not be shipped away at for the sake of political correctness.

Robert Anderson (Bishopton, 2018-07-07)

#222

A 'No' to the thought police and criminalising ideas.

Julie Hichens (Camborne, 2018-07-07)

#231

This is an attack on freedom and just one more attack on Christian values upon which this nation is founded

GARY BRANT (BEWDLEY, 2018-07-07)

#232

This is an attack on Christians whose only desire is trying to help those with same sex attraction.

Jim Magill (Carrickfergus, 2018-07-07)

#233

We all seek to change when we become Christians. There is no compulsion to do anything, but many seek prayer and counselling to help with change. Alcoholism would be an example where Christian ministry has had a really positive effect. To ban people from seeking prayer or providing ministry in the area of human sexuality would be an abuse of this countries freedom of religion.

PAUL SELBY (NOTTINGHAM, 2018-07-07)

#235

Yet more proposed anti-Christian legislation that will be a further clamp down on freedom of speech!

Terence Scarborough (Tavistock, 2018-07-07)

'Theresa the appeaser' seeks to appease the LGBT Mafia. Theresa May is sadly not the first Parliamentarian who ignores Christian ethics but still goes to church.

David Bamber (Lancing, 2018-07-07)

#239

It is my experience that people do want to change and request assistance to do so. To ban therapy is tantamount to saying no one should ever have help to change one's life. The principle of banning therapy for Gay conversion undermines all therapy as all therapy is aimed at helping people who desire to change to have the knowledge and support to do so.

Jonathan Harris (Stockton-on-Tees, 2018-07-07)

#241

To criminalise is to deny choice and a right to those who want it. A lot of gay people will probably be offended by such an offer but there is definitely some that will want it and you are denying them a human right. Pointless

Kai Wong (St Helens, 2018-07-07)

#242

So-called "gay" people have been helped and are being helped to escape this lifestyle that makes then so desperately unhappy and exposes them to lethal risk.

I want our nation to once again uphold to its Christian heritage

As a professing Christian I firmly believe that it is our aim to assist and strive wherever we can to correct that which is wrong in the sight of our God according to His Law.

I am a bible believing Christian. God created human beings male and female. If we tamper with His created order we are on a collision course with a Holy God.

Janet Holder (Southport, 2018-07-07)

This is just population control gone mad and playing into the hands of anti-Christian and un-Godly ideologies.

Keith Wilkinson (Congleton, 2018-07-07)

#253

I believe that Christians should have the SAME RIGHTS to freedom of brlief as all other people in the UK and that people who have confusion or struggles about their sexuality should be allowed to receive help such as Prayer and counselling and therapy if they wish to become fully Hetrosexual. This be both allowed and encouraged as a legitimate choose especially in the UK society whose way of life has been based on the Jeudo Chistian foundation and belief a a Loving Personal God in.the form.of Jesus Christ Who also gives basis of all our MORALS and sense of RIGHT & WTONG in our Society a.d gives our Society a sense of MEANING and VALUE otherwise Our Society.is journeying WITHOUT a COMPASS to DISASTER

George KOPEC (Bedford, 2018-07-07)

This therapy is never forced onto anyone but is offered to those who feel they need it - those who need it should not be deprived of it just because others feel that they do not need it.

Stephen Gordon (Carrickfergus, 2018-07-07)

#256

I am signing because I believe this therapy is needed and wanted by many people who feel uncomfortable living the gay lifestyle.

David Johnston (Belfast , 2018-07-07)

#259

I'm signing because people need the freedom to get help according to their own choices. I had a homosexual problem because of sexual abuse in a council home. I am very glad I got sorted and am now happily married. (To a woman of course) lovely woman

Everyone has the same right to ask for prayer, healing a listening ear when or if they desire to reach out for help.

I'm signing because I am pastor, and this could criminalise some aspects of pastoral work.

I stand for free speech for all,not just a few.

John Carter (Northwich, 2018-07-07)

#287

I knew someone decades ago, who was trapped by this evil. On becoming a Christian he was set free from it (I don't know if therapy was involved, or whether by the grace of God, it was part of the salvation package.) He is now happily married to a lady and has been for several decades. Why should the law prevent anyone from experiencing the freedom that this man now enjoys having been liberated from the evils of sodomy?

Percy WILLIAMS (Cheltenham, 2018-07-07)

I wish to stsnd up for biblical values

Patricia Mayes (Holywood, 2018-07-07)

#295

I’m signing because I believe in this peption in standing up for our right of freedom of speech. I don’t want to hurt anyone, but if someone wants help. then we should be able to give it.

This is really wicked

Minkie Hamilton-Taylor (Bracknell, Berkshire, 2018-07-07)

#306

You've turned morality completely upside down.

Brian Hepworth (Manchester, 2018-07-07)

#311

I strongly belief in freedom of speech and belief and people are asking for help to be free from same sex desires and attraction. Only a totalitarian Government in love with a political organisation would criminalise this.

Brian Keatley (Enfield Middx, 2018-07-07)

#315

Past experience has indicated that gay conversion therapy is very valuable.

John Churchill (Nottingham, 2018-07-07)

Jeremy Hett (Wimborne, 2018-07-07)

#323

People should be free to change their lifestyle if they wish and anybody can be helped if they so desire through the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Ian Looker (Dorchester, 2018-07-07)

#324

Male homosexual acts are highly dangerous and account for over 90% of presented STI and costs the NHS GDP millions.
The Government should be making a public warning about this danger instead of worrying about votes.
The Government should be encouraging people to move away from unwanted same-sex attraction but has bowed to LGBT lobbing and cannot stand up for what is right. This is state control of free speech, opinion and thought.

David Cox (Bournemouth, 2018-07-07)

#327

This is a serious attack upon and indivilauls choice. If it is true that Therapy for those wish to reject same sex attraction is wrong, it is also true the other way around.

Raymond Smith (HAYES, 2018-07-07)

#328

I totally agree with the Petition.

I am a Christian who believes the Bible cover to cover.

I respectfully refer to these verses from the Book of Romans :-

“For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”

Homosexuals should be free to seek help if they so desire and the church should be free to offer help. Not all homosexuals are happy with their lives and many seek change.

Penelope Minns (Bodmin, 2018-07-07)

#339

I feel strongly about this. Anyone should be at liberty to ask for help, or to offer help, to another in such a case without that help being criminalised.

As a Christian counsellor I have worked with gay people and seen God work to heal and transform their lives.

Tricia Patrick (Oxford, 2018-07-07)

Many ex-gay friends have been grateful for the help they have received from pastors and other Christians to extricate themselves from a lifestyle they now see to have been abhorrent and harmful.

Only forced therapy should be illegal. If an adult wants to investigate conversion therapy, they should be free to do so.

I object to the blatant Cultural Marxism that is being promoted by a false co-called 'Conservative' government.

Ian Bateson (London, 2018-07-08)

#358

I am signing this petition because banning this therapy is a sure sign of the truth falling because of opposition to that truth.

Jason Westropemann (Chadwell Heath, 2018-07-08)

#360

People should be given an opportunity for help.
Drug addicts and alcoholics are not expected to change their behaviour without counselling, so why should those caught up in sexual deviation not be encouraged to seek help.

I am very disappointed in Theresa May giving her backing to all this immoral stuff.
She ought to know better.

Hilary Hopper (Windsor, 2018-07-08)

I'm signing because to have such a ban will inhibit people from freedom of choice to question their sexual orientation and make alternative choices if desired.

Denise Jones (London , 2018-07-08)

#368

It's important that there should be choices available for those who CHOOSE to undergo this type of therapy. Don't leave them with nothing

As a doctor working in a spychiatric unit I feel all options need to be kept open so people can make informed choices without being bullied or coerced by intransigent proponents of one sided ideology.

Dr. Michael JELBERT (Cheltenham, 2018-07-08)

The Biblical Christian Gospel is the only effective answer for the ills of mankind, namely sin. All responding to the call God puts out, who embrace the sacrifice Jesus Christ made on the cross as our Substitute for our sin, in the power of the Holy Spirit; receive an Almighty Divine work of deliverance. I testify to that. Would the Government rather I was still in bondage to alcoholism, adultery & blasphemy? Or would they rather I was under condemnation & heading for hell? We know many who have been gloriously healed & delivered from the power of sin, including homosexuality; and are now transformed citizens to the praise of our Lord Jesus Christ!

David Woolley (Malton, 2018-07-08)
