Defend Gay Conversion Therapy

It's sure some are not happy in themselves with same sex attraction. Why shouldn't they seek help. If they ask Christans for help prayer is natural. Enough of nanny state, big brother. Please government, hands off!

John White (New Milton, 2018-07-08)

#404

People ought to have a right to develop their heterosexual potential if they so desire. This is unjust! Well done Christian Voice.

Lisa Nolland (Bristol, 2018-07-09)

#412

Adults should be able to give informed consent to this or any therapy unless it is unequivocally demonstrated to be harmful. There is no conclusive evidence of harm done from counselling or prayer regarding sexual orientation.

Simon Marshall (Bath, 2018-07-09)

#417

Our freedoms are being eroded and we must try & stop it.

Mary Rowe (IPSWICH, 2018-07-09)

#418

The Bible clearly declares that homosexuality is sin. How can we take away someone's right to choose to come out of a homosexual lifestyle?

Peter King (SEAFORD, 2018-07-09)

#421

I have a right to choose HOW to be helped

Alan Borer (chorley, 2018-07-09)

#425

Whatever the validity of such treatment, the denial of human rights and free speech are an assault on basic vital human rights.

William Smith (Wimborne, 2018-07-09)

#427

This is a basic human right that we can choose who and what we wish to be. It is crazy that those who are backing gay rights on the basis of 'human rights' actually wish to deny us this basic of all rights: our identity!

Michael lampard (Liverpool, 2018-07-09)

#430

Gay conversion therapy should be available to anyone who chooses to make use of this valuable service. Many people have been helped and it's a vital lifeline for those who seek help.

Kathryn Bessant (Bournemouth, 2018-07-09)

#434

I believe its important to defend Biblical values

Jean Stacey (Potters Bar, 2018-07-09)

#435

I'm signing because of the unwarranted interference by central government in the lives of those who offer Gay Conversion Therapy and those who freely wish to make use of this service.

Christopher Gilfedder (Glasgow, 2018-07-09)

#441

I don't see what this issue has to do with the government. If people wish to be freed from their inner demons why not.

Chris Brown (Whitley Bay, 2018-07-09)

#445

Remember our Christian values as a nation and do not give the voice to the gays that they are trying to get.

Vince Altamura (Banbury, 2018-07-09)

#449

it completely restricts the individuals freedom of choice

Alistair Crighton (Edinburgh, 2018-07-09)

#453

If people don't want to be homosexual they have a right to support to help them change that life style

Debbie catton (Woking, 2018-07-10)

#466

This is pro LGBTQ bigotry at its height. It is a shocking assault on freedom of conviction, conscience, Christian values and Biblical morality and teaching. It is also a denial of biological design. Unbelievable!

Moira Wood (Stafford, 2018-07-11)

#469

I'm signing because I am very concerned that freedom of speech, choice and religion is being so undermined and restricted. Also, I believe in sex in God's way -- one man and one woman in marriage. For those who live in a gay lifestyle or who struggle with same-sex attraction, I believe they should have the opportunity of knowing there is a way out, if they wish to take it.

Helen Jesze (Eastwood,Nottingham, 2018-07-11)

#474

People should have the opportunity if they so wish to have the therapy they want if it
Is available. Nobody forces people to have it and many folk in the past have benefitted from it. Don’t taken folk’s choices away.

M. Fry (Bournemouth , 2018-07-11)

#475

Theresa May's proposal is totally against Gods' Word.

Stanley Johnson (Glasgow, 2018-07-11)

#479

I'm signing this because I am alarmed how this LGBT agenda is brazenly brainily forced upon us through a political party that I had once believed was there to conserve British Christian values - a party that is sadly increasingly bowing to secular -humanistic agendas without including such in their election manifesto

Michael Huggins (Crediton, 2018-07-12)

#482

This therapy has been proven effective and healing for those who want a change to their psychology. It is a denial of free speech to deny access to it to those who desire it.

John Hollins (Liskeard, 2018-07-12)

#487

I'm signing this as I believe that every individual must have the right to free choice.

Sian Davies (Carmarthen, 2018-07-14)

#491

The logical extension of such legislation will include the banning of all "conversion" attempts, religious, political or otherwise including the banning of vote canvassing!

Derek Hole (Clevedon, 2018-07-14)

#492

Surely it is a fundamental right to be able to choose whether you want therapy or counselling. If not, fair enough, but there should be choice

John and Pauline Parker (Leicester , 2018-07-15)

#495

If people want to have a therapy, it is their right and freedom to choose and receive it !!!

Franz Kellner (Vienna, 2018-07-16)

#500

If the law can stop people helping other people who seek help then where does that leave us?

Elise Grobbelaar (Isle of Man, 2018-07-17)

#501

I support this petition because I believe it is wrong that whilst the government upholds peoples rights to change their biology to fit with their feelings it seeks to prevent them from choosing to change their feelings to fit with their biology and from seeking support from others to help them on this journey. to criminalise those offering help and support to people who seek it and to restrict freedoms in this way is unacceptable.

Andrea Laity (BRISTOL, 2018-07-18)

#503

This is an attack on all freedoms

susan carnevale (CH7 2BT, 2018-07-18)

#504

I know that this therapy, allied with listening and gentle counselling, has already helped many who desired change in this and other countries. The work of Core Issues Trust should be commended and not maligned.

Sheila Brown (Bristol, 2018-07-19)

#505

I am signing, because Jesus is the ONLY One who is truly the Redeemer and Restorer of each person into wholesomeness.

Erika Zeman (Redhill, 2018-07-19)

#506

Some people need help to quit their LGBT lifestyle

sally carson (Chester, 2018-07-19)

#510

It's taking away our freedom of speech, freedom of choice and an individual right to get help. Please think carefully before you vote. And we need to remember that thousands of men and women gave there life's for our freedom!!! Please Do Not Take Our Freedom OF Speech.

Susan Halliwell (Oldham, 2018-07-20)

#514

I am signing because research shows that homosexuality is learnt and not genetic. It can be learnt from a wrong family or social environment. And from Genesis to Revelation homosexual acts are seen as totally unholy by the God of Israel.

Graham Wade (Plymouth, 2018-07-20)

#520

I detst the championing of evil, perversions and moral degradation Teresa Mayand her hand-picked ministers are actively creating and supporting. I hate the Owellian pollice state she is hell bent on setting up

walter plews (Stockton-on-Tees, 2018-07-20)

#522

It is ridiculous to ban this.

George Sadler (London, 2018-07-20)

#523

I believe in free speech and personal choice

Christopher Wright (Bristol, 2018-07-20)

#527

.millions of people died in the last World War defending the freedoms which are now being taken from us without a shot being fired.

Maurice Ward (Stockton on Tees, 2018-07-20)

#529

I'm signing this because everybody has the right to speak or believe what he thinks is best.
To kill the christian voice, is to kill freedom.

Lutgart Gillis (Rumst, 2018-07-20)

#539

It's an attavk on free speech

Patricia Tongue (Bilston , 2018-07-20)

#543

What right has anyone to stop a person making a personal choice as to how they want to determine their future. Legislation would be another blow against freedom of speech and the right of a person to choose therapy or prayer or both as they deem suitable for them.

Linda Whittaker (Burnley, 2018-07-20)

#551

People have a right to this therapy-It Is proven to 'work' for those who want a change In their sexual behavior,so NO ONE has a right to attempt to "condemn" the broken Souls who seek a way out of their gay 'lifestyle'.

John Snr Doyle (Dublin, 2018-07-21)

#552

I feel very strongly about these matters

Lawrence Sercombe (Bognor Regis, 2018-07-21)

#557

if people are not happy with being gay surely they should have as much right to choose as those who have lived and heterosexual life and wish to 'come out'? No one is talking about forcing 'treatment' on anyone.

Doreen Sparey-Delacassa (Launceston, 2018-07-21)

#559

it's wicked to deny people free choice

Jane Stewart (Belfast, 2018-07-21)

#563

Is an attack on freedom of choice, speech and because I believe that homosexuality is to be resisted and any reasonable treatment that can help this should be welcomed

Terry Hoar (Waterlooville, 2018-07-21)

#564

I'm signing becasue I feel people should have the freedeom of choice to deal with same-sex attraction if they are uncomfortable with that. No-one should deny them that choice and there certainly should not be legislation agansit this kind of therapy. I know of people who had support to overcome unwanted sexual feelings towards the same sex and they are very grateful they could do that , have a family and live a happy life. This is a basic human right which no-one should be denied.

Jean Metz (Oberglatt, 2018-07-21)

#565

It's the right thing to do!

Andy Edwards (Bath, 2018-07-21)

#567

This is an attack on freedom.

Linda Brant (Bewdley, 2018-07-21)

#569

Surely there are people out there who want to be free from same sex attraction however they got it. There are people who want and need to change. Then surely it is wrong and very wrong to ban the therapy that they need even if it is only a few! Don't take away this freedom.

Ian Dougall (London, 2018-07-21)

#577

Freedom is being able to have a choice the opposite is totalitarian.

Darryl Allen (Sydney, 2018-07-21)

#580

There are two sides to every story... the other side needs to be heard!

Pete Jackson (BLACKPOOL, 2018-07-21)

#582

If the homosexual lobby is allowed to suggest that it is possible to 'become' a homosexual at some stage in one's life - which they are allowed to and they do suggest - then by their own admission homosexuality cannot be innate; thus a person who has hitherto claimed to be a homosexual has an equal right to decide to become/return to being a heterosexual if they so wish.

Elizabeth McDonald (Rochester, 2018-07-21)

#584

I believe Gay conversion Therapy works, not everyone classed as gay wants to remain that way.

Marion Hamilton (Basingstoke , 2018-07-21)

#593

Many people have benefitted from such a service, religious or not, people have the right to seek counsel and advice on issues of any kind in their lives. It is very presumptuous to consider everyone who is 'gay' at one point in their life, to be permanently happy with their sexuality for the rest of their life.

Joanna Townsend (Lancaster, 2018-07-21)

#596

There are 2 sexes only - male and female as our holy God created.

Helen Barns (Carseldine, 2018-07-22)

#598

Homosexuality is an abomination to God!!!
