I am an artist manager that owns an agency that aims to promote the independence and ownership of intellectual property and its means of exploitation. The bill amendment means artists will grow hungry with no royalty earning and to leave their descendants while their work is used freely. The state of arts is neglected as is, not funded and bookings that serve as money stream for artists declined and continue to do so because major stakeholders, the alchohol, mainly spirits, who host big festivals and small events where artists get booked at, have been heavily taxed by the government. The bill amandment takes away yet another money stream.

I am not for this, more so, intellectual property is the most priced possession of man.

I'm signing this petition because I am a creative, my siblings are creative and like all children - so is my daughter. The world my child will live in will be different from mine, as mine was different from my parents. In the future, creativity stands to be one if the most important skills. Yes, I'm talking the 4IR. We need to be able to protect our ideas in order for us live and thrive.
