It is too easy for neighbours with their own personal agenda to complain about responsible owners and their obedient, trained dogs. This is a loophole in system and should be treated as such. Don't go off the word of someone else's personal, -PRIVILEGED - agenda! Good dogs do need muzzles because someone is projecting their own stigmas on them.

I have dogs, I love dogs and it would break my heart to have to muzzle a loving, trained, precious member of my family. It would feel like I was punishing them for something they've never done. Why don't we chain and muzzle the "dangerous" teens & adults who make us uncomfortable? Or is that next? Maybe we'll have to tie up and muzzle our unruly neighbors or our special needs kids next because they make someone nervous. If the neighbor doesn't like dogs, stay the hell away from the dogs. We already have leash laws, if you are afraid a dog on a leash might bite you, keep your hands away from the dog!! If you are old enough to make a complaint, you are old enough to know not to put your hands in a dogs face that doesn't know you.

I have a Golden retriever of my own and I know 100% it is not in their nature to show any kind of aggression towards anyone. This is absolutely ridiculous and maybe the person (lunatic) that complained should have to wear a mussel every time they walk outside

This is ridiculous. First of all who is this animal control person.
Since is is payed by tax payers, post his name.
It sounds like he only is in the power and control he has. To have 1 person complain and to have this guy going nuts , we’ll its just out of control. Get him the publicity he is looking for.. I have a 15 year old golden retriever, as a matter of fact it’s our 3rd since 1990,, he is a gem , literally a part of my family and it would be like putting a muzzle on a human family member.. sorry it ain’t goin to happen and I promise that if it ever came to that and he showed up at my door there better be police with a warrant and be prepared for some push back..
I am angry just posting this so I am going to stop..
If the SPCA job is open for applicants then New Glasgow/ Pictou County petitioners should look at electing one of their group members..

Something has to be done about these situations. Its not fair to the owners or the dogs. I hat a pitty/rottie mix it was the best dog ever. So friendly and sookie. People shouldnt get there own way cause they dont like dogs. They godda mind their own damn business and go on with life
