I believe in this project.

Bryan Gladden (Mansfield , 2019-07-01)

#2

I live in the neighborhood and feel like this project would be a great addition in unused space!

Linda Nunes-Quimby (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

I believe this is a positive asset to our community and my neighborhood personally. I live near maple lake park. I have two boys ages 7 & 3 and both boys skateboard, and bike ride. My husband also skateboards, rollerblades, and bike rides. This would be a wonderful addition to the Mansfield area.

Elizabeth Robinson (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

I’m signing because I believe the skate park would be utilized by families and would be a wonderful asset to our community. The naysayers are stereotyping “the type of people” the park would attract,
and that is not a good reason. Our city should be proud of its diversity and the progressive young professionals that continue to live here!

Amanda Stanfield (Mansfield , 2019-07-01)

#11

Mansfield needs more opportunities for children and adults to exercise, socialize, and just have safe fun!

Emily Schunatz (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#12

I believe a skatepark would benefit mansfield very much

Orie Rush (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#13

Great cities provide opportunities for fun and leisure time. Mansfield is a great city and a park like this is a great idea!

Judy Forney (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#19

This would intensely benefit the community in which kids would have a place to hang out and do more active activities to avoid the Borden that leads to bad decisions.

Lauren Capra (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#20

I'm signing in support because the city of Mansfield NEEDS an upgrade to keep up with surrounding cities.

Kelly Roscoe (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#21

I think this is a good ideal. It's better than kids in the street or even adults in the street.

Niccole Schulte (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#22

This would be a great addition to our neighborhood! It seems like teens don't have the opportunity to get to know their neighbors anymore. This would be a great gathering place for fun and fellowship.

Amy Christus (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#27

We desperately need something like this in our community. There is nothing here for our youth.

Tammy Warner (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#33

A skate park would be a great thing for the community. An activity that gets kids and adults out of the house. Something that builds community and creativity.

Alex Hickinbotham (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#34

It is important to have community places and activities that encourage kids to get off the streets, out of the gangs and drugs, and into something positive and healthy!

Katherine Stone (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#35

I grew up skating. Enjoyed it as a sport and time with friends and family. A Skate Park would bring a great opportunity to share this sport with my grandkids.

Mary Glass (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#36

I think this will provide a positive, safe location for youth to spend their time.

Amanda Chapman (Mansfield , 2019-07-01)

#37

Mansfield is in need of activities for our youth. Organized sports are not, and should not, be the only option for our youth. We need to support the creativity and activity that comes along with a skate park.

Victoria Norris-Diez (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#41

We need a skatepark.

Chris Borden (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#42

This will be a benefit to our community.

Jason Chapman (Mansfield , 2019-07-01)

#43

A skatepark that’s multi-functional for youth/adults is something that several citizens request for numerous reasons: additional recreational/sport options, opportunity to continue meeting new people to establish friendships, toursim, and giving youth a sense of ownership of something. This will also promote the multi-cultural, artistic, social aspects of skate culture within our city. A culture that’s been pushed aside for far too long.

Aurelio V. Diaz (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#48

I live in this area and think the skatepark will be a great addition to our neighborhood. also it gives teens and young adults a great venue for hanging out and honing their skills.

Anne Rhodes (Mansfield, 2019-07-01)

#50

WE DEFINITELY NEED A SKATE PARK HERE A LOT OF SKATERS

Diane Putney (MANSFIELD , 2019-07-01)

Extreme sports teach young kids and even adults so much about life ! If you fall down you always get back up and try again . If there’s something your having a hard time accomplishing, keep at it and you will get it ! This is what stateboarding and bmx it all about .

Mikki Crist (Perrysville, 2019-07-01)

#52

I want positive options for the kids in my community.

Vanessa Pirela (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#55

I believe this would be an asset to our community. Our family and the members of our community need to keep our youth/adults engaged in physical activities. Not everyone participates in a traditional sport therefore this should be supported.

Rebecca Clay (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#58

I feel this park would be an asset to our community. It would give children along with young men and women a place to craft their skill as well as encourage exercise.

Elizabeth Parson (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#60

Mansfield needs more to engage young people. I spent a great amount of time at the old skate park in North Lake Park.

Its a great resource.

Chad Crider (Mansfield, 2019-07-02)

#62

The youth and adults in Mansfield deserve to have this place!

Joshua Koehler (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

I believe in Mark Abrams & the planning commission for making Mansfield parks better for Everyone. This is a Wonderful Start to bringing use of & Families together again for great & memorable times. .

My son and his skate buddies drive all over Ohio to skate at different city's parks. They're staying active and doing what they enjoy. It would be great to have this asset in their own community.

Korinna Goettel (MANSFIELD, 2019-07-02)

#69

Good for the kids to be out doing physical activity and a skate park would be perfect for that

Tim Stacy (Lucas, 2019-07-02)

#70

I'm signing because our city needs activities for our youth. I grew up around many skateboarders in my youth and am still close friends with many of them. Skateboarding promotes open mindedness, physical activity, and a close bond with peers. Many skateboarders I grew up with have grown up to be successful adults. Plus my kids grew up with skateboarding yet there is very few safe places for them to skate. I support this skatepark 100%.

Nahtanha Gray (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#72

While all parks in Mansfield need to be improved, this is a huge statement from local leaders to say that our parks do matter. Hopefully this is the first project of many to happen in the near future.

Robbie Stewart (Mansfield, OH, 2019-07-02)

#74

I’m signing because I’m a skateboarder in the city of Mansfield who wants a place to skate

Zeke Lisius (Mansfield, 2019-07-02)

#75

The Richland county area needs a new park! We have the skate park in Lexington which is of the lowest quality, and Belleville, which is super small. A new park in Mansfield is the perfect solution to what this area needs! ❤

Jake Bodjanac (Lexington, 2019-07-02)

#76

My 13 year old step son has been skateboarding for the past year. Mansfield need this skatepark because you have to go a hour away to skate at any decent parks.

Chrissy Wappner (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#78

I believe in the growth and development of Mansfield. Making changes like building a skate park for all of our community to enjoy can bring us closer and hurtle our city into the beginning of new and better era.

Keely Estill (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#79

Mansfield's youth deserves a safe place to practice sports, no matter what sport it is. Those opposed to skate culture do not wish to pursue progress and use misinformation to limit the lives of the youth Mansfield.

Carly Hatfield (Mansfield, 2019-07-02)

#81

I support access to a park that is geared towards physical activities and encourages getting outside.

Chelsea Means (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#82

Gives youth something better to do than drugs. Mansfield needs some positivity. If this park is run right and under supervision of people who care this can be an amazing thing

Joseph Putney (Twentynine Palms, 2019-07-02)

#83

We are overdue for a skatepark, the city kicks people out for skating but doesn’t give them somewhere else to go...on even Crestline built a skatepark.

Lucas Waterer (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#84

I was a skateboarder during my teenage years. Before the North lake skatepark we had no where to go and do what we loved.. The north lake skatepark provided us not only a place to skate... but a place to meet like minded people.. I made life long friends at that skatepark... I hope our youth can be given the same opportunity as we were

Rick West (Mansfield, 2019-07-02)

#85

My son is a 13 year old skateboarder. We usually have to travel an hour away for him to skate at a good skate park other then Lexington's.

Robert Wappner (mansfield, 2019-07-02)

#87

As a skater from way back, in California, it was surprisingly difficult to find a decent place to skate and not get chased off. I think this is a great opportunity to improve our community for the young and old alike, I might go buy a new board!

Jamie Schiro ( , 2019-07-02)

#89

Skate park!

Tara Amert (Mansfield , 2019-07-02)

#90

I’m a Mansfield native who frequently visits the city, kids in the area are in desperate need of activities.

Anne Massie (Columbus , 2019-07-03)

#91

. This park would have been much more than just a place to ride. Give kids a safe place to be kids and experience life. I'm sure the police would have no problem looking after this park. Especially knowing that there is so much good coming from it.

Candace Meadows (New London, 2019-07-03)

#92

I believe that we need more activities for our youth.....especially ones that promote an active lifestyle,

Kristie Massa (Mansfield, 2019-07-03)

#95

I feel that most people are not seeing the big picture here on what will bring in more money for the city of Mansfield. Not many people from other surrounding cities are coming there for your parks alone when most cities already have parks of their own. Even with new playground equipment it will not attract out of town visitors like it would with a skatepark. More visitors equals more money for your town. Skateboarding is not what it was ten, fifteen, twenty years ago but has now grown to an Olympic sport in which kids not only learn self betterment but also gives them an opportunity to express themselves in ways that other sports can't.

Ryan Kelly (Columbus, 2019-07-03)

#96

To have a designated place to skate would benefit both skaters and non-skaters alike. If done correctly it could host many events, from birthday parties to youth group outings to music concerts! Ultimately I’m just excited for the potential something like this could hold for the future.

Andrew Hill (Mansfield , 2019-07-03)

#98

The city has plenty of things for younger kids to do - carrousel, Little Buckeye, Chuckie Cheese, etc... our city needs something for our older kids. It’s time for Mansfield to join other cities in offering a skate park.

Amy Elizabeth (Mansfield, 2019-07-04)

As a mother of 2 school age boys, a skatepark would be a good addition to the parks system in Mansfield. A playground is already available very close to maple lake park at the south park location. We've gone to the skate park in Lexington and would appreciate a better facility closer to home.

Melanie Elias (Mansfield, 2019-07-04)

#103

It’s needed to move Mansfield forward

Michael Lybarger (Lucas, 2019-07-04)

#104

I support Mansfield having a skate park. I am not sure if Maple Park would be the best choice. The site of the old Newman school may be more logical

Carl Boor (Mansfield , 2019-07-09)

#106

when I was young the skate park in north lake park gave my friends and I somewhere to skate and meet other people who were into skateboarding.
