Our paper is a set up for failure. The paper was not evenly spread through in accordance to the cognitive levels of difficulty. 70 % Of the paper cannot be Higher order thinking questions.

The work load is unreasonable. More than 50% of the class has failed the first exam opportunity and there are students who pass more difficult subjects than PSYC 212. The memo of the paper is based on 100% textbook wording and if answered in your own words no marks are given. This is unacceptable!!

It has come to my attention that many of students are unhappy with the marks they have received in the exam. If it is true that the Vaal Campus students received a scope, that was not available to the Potchefstroom students, I find it very unfair. I feel that something must be done regarding the marking of our papers.

I am redoing this module to get better marks for honours, in which case I work extremely hard for high marks. But it is not possible to achieve high marks when the exams are unrealistically difficult. And it makes no sense that the lecturer explains how you must answer her questions AFTER the exam, this should be done during the semester.

I had this module last year as well and and so many students had to take the second exam due to failing the 1st one. This year even more students failed, which just doesn’t make any sense
The amount of work to be studied is ridiculous. You cannot know 49 long questions by hand and even if you succeed to know 42 and they don’t ask any of those you still lose 70% of your marks. There’s more than 1000 students who needs to retake their exam and most of them like me has studied for this test. The Vaal campus students have admitted to obtain a more in-depth scope of what to study for the 1st exam which is not fair towards the students of the NWU.

Ek, en baie van my mede studente het n groot probleem met die module juis omdat die module my sleep is van laasjaar.
My probleem is dat ek al my 3de jaars vakke met al my sielkundes deurkom, maar die vak moet ek weereens her.
Ek was vandag my dosent, en alhoewel sy gaaf was en saam my deur my antwoordstel gegaan het, was daar by een van my vrae gesê 'my antwoord is reg, en kan gebruik word, maar dis nie hoe dit in die boek staan nie so ons gaan dit nie reg merk nie', ek voel ek verstaan my werk op n baie ander manier as "presies" soos wat die boek sê... So as my verduideliking reg is, dan moet dit reg gemerk word. Ons as studente het 5 of meer (ek 6) modules, om als presies te leer is onmoontlik. Daar was 49 langvrae gegee vir ons wat ons moet self uitwerk en net 7 word gevra, dan word dit van ons verwag, dis bietjie baie onredelik.

Ek het my multikeuse gaan uitwerk in die boek wat beteken ek moet 6 vrae reg hê uit 15, dis 12 punte (wat my kan deur sit) vandag was daar gesê ek het net 2 reg wat net 4 punte is... Ek wil asb vra dat daar opgevolg moet word en die memos hersien moet word met die multikeuse kaarte van die studente en die antwoord stelle... Dis onmoontlik dat ons so baie kan wees wat die modulle jaar na jaar na jaar moet her en sleep wat baie van ons se grade gaan kos.
