I believe the community benefits from having this ymca it would be a tragedy to see it go.. the surrounding schools also benefit from it.

This is terrible! Think about the children and their parents that will be affected by this! My sister has dedicated her time, energy and passion to helping the children at the YMCA PSC! Keep the YMCA PSC OPEN!

I can’t believe anybody that wants to close this place down it’s disgusting and pathetic of the CEO to put people through this Where are they going to relocate all these people if the Y is having so much trouble ceo is such a liar and I hope people called him out on it

I use the Pointe St. Charles YMCA when I am in Montreal visiting my daughter and working locally. She lives on Rue Bourgeoys.

Slowly gentrification is destroying the fabric of old and established communities. It would be a great loss to the community it serves and disappointing to see another landmark taken away that makes the Point, the Point.

YMCA is part of our community and brings us together. Its place in front of parc Leber is where it should be.

Michelle Clement (Montreal, 2019-11-20)

This is where my mother and father grew up during some of this country's most trying times! Also,my daughter who also has lived and worked in the point has used the Y to better herself physically, mentally and made her feel like part of this this great and historic community! The YMCA and it's current facility is iconic and should never be closed down or relocated for any reason ever!

Ralph Picher (Deux-Montagnes, 2019-11-20)

The YMCA has been a part of my community for years. My daughters and I attend regularly and I can’t imagine life or the Pointe without it!

Crystal Leger (Montreal, 2019-11-20)

I attended the YMCA in Pt St. Charles for many years, used many of the services- including the pool when my son was small for swimming lessons, exercise for myself, etc. Also, was the president of the board of directors of a separate agency that rented space from the Y for some years. The YMCA provides many services and opportunities to the neighborhood. It is also the across the street from a from huge green space that can benefit members of the Y at the same time. Location, Location, Location. For the use of people who live nearby -, not expensive housing or any sort of development that will take away from the flavour and fabric of it's original raison d'etre. maria trudel

I am disgusted by the YMCA's decision to close this building. It has a long history of changing lives, particularly in this area. I suggest a member of the YMCA attend the "Point St. Charles Hall of Recognition" event held in the fall of every year. Thank you Carolyn MacGregor.

I am a resident of the Pointe for the last 10 years and am stunned by the decisions to amputate services at our local Y - including especially the impact on cultural activities.
Please review and revoke these decisions.

Gilles Malette (Montreal, 2019-11-25)

The YMCA Pointe Ste Charles (aka the Boys and Girls Club has been an integral part of community life for so many years. It provided a place where children could take classes, participate in sports, socialize, swim, and so much more. It is a landmark in Pointe St Charles. Moving it would be a huge disappointment to past and present residents

As a child I spent a lot of time there. When my parents didn’t care where I was. They cared enough to see me come back day after day. If the wall can talk, what stories can be told. Keep The YMCA open. Kids today have no clue that memories that be made.
