Because of hording money in the bank should be using it for veterans who need help.

David Richardson (Workington, 2019-11-22)

#1003

I m signing because I totally disagree with this move . Your losing branch and boots on the ground this must change

Don Porter (Gütersloh , 2019-11-22)

#1010

This is an important facility, and should not be cast aside, many people need the help provided, its criminal that service/ex service personnel could be cast aside after serving their country, disgusting.

Gwynne Ward (Taunton , 2019-11-22)

#1011

To the Governments eternal shame, never have these resources been more needed than now in 2019, for our veterans!

Sharon Packman (Basildon , 2019-11-22)

#1012

I thought was there to help VVeterans not to show a Big profit . Slowly the RBL is losing it's core values. As a Veteran I am seeing service that in place tohelp Veyerans turn it back on those who claim they are there for veterans.
First Combat Stress now RBL soon the NHS.

Keith Hudson (Knowsley, 2019-11-22)

#1016

I did check the RBL annual report and there is no explanation about the 8 million spent on agency staff. Please with all the bad news these days, these centres should not be closed.

Steve Robbins (Slough, 2019-11-22)

#1017

This is a vital resource that must not be closed down.

Libby Grimley (Macclesfield , 2019-11-22)

#1018

This is a fantastic facility and gives wonderful support to us veterans.

Mike Sherratt (Leicester, 2019-11-22)

#1020

I’m a veteran and I also volunteer at a breakfast club and these places are a god send for some of our older veterans

Claire Street (Oldham , 2019-11-22)

#1021

It is the wrong course of action, there are other areas they can save some money

Jason Keen (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1025

It should never close.

Pete Francois (Highbidge, 2019-11-22)

#1027

I know how much Byng House means to everyone and these break centres are vital to the mental health and wellbeing of so many people.

Maxine Fessey (Southport , 2019-11-22)

#1031

Both break centres and handy vans are too important to ditch.

mike smith (milborne port, sherborne, 2019-11-22)

#1032

It's vital to the welfare of ex-service personnel and their families.

Christopher Robinson (Hull, 2019-11-22)

#1036

Having fully accessible accommodation especially if more than one person in a family group requires it is difficult to find

Julia McKenzie (Weston-super-Mare, 2019-11-22)

#1039

Member of the RBLR branch. Didn't serve thou in ATC. So now doing my bit for those that did.

Neil Lewis (Southport , 2019-11-22)

#1042

It is a disgrace.
The RBL HAVE MILLIONS
USE THEM FOR THESE FACILITIES AND NOT FOR EXORBITANT PAY PACKETS

Derek BLACKBURN (Birkenhead, 2019-11-22)

#1046

This is a much needed resource at a time of austerity and very limited services for our veterans

Denise Drake (merseyside, 2019-11-22)

#1047

My elderly parents have stayed he several times and it has been absolutely vital to their well being, they love Byng House.

Anne Moroney (Buckley, 2019-11-22)

#1048

I know the work they do at Byng House and it would be tragic for it to be closed down

Lindsey Black (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1049

Because am a disable Veteran

Ian Fair (Edinburgh , 2019-11-22)

#1051

Bennet House is an outstanding facility and it’s loss would be a hugely negative impact on available services in Northern Ireland of a similar nature.

Colin Wilson (Dromore, 2019-11-22)

#1054

The respite centres have been a great help to me and my family for I have to live in benefits cause I can’t work anymore and it’s the break my family and I get when I can get into the centre it’s always busy and to think you will be putting a lot of people out of work that are very caring for veterans do not do this.

Stephen Cardwell (Belfast , 2019-11-22)

#1056

They get away with too much these days. It must be stopped

Dennis Laws (Chelmsford, 2019-11-22)

#1057

A much needed facility for veterans and their families. Not everyone has the means to travel overseas to get away for a break in a safe environment. I know many families who look forward to respite in these facilities with like minded people. Veterans cannot afford to lose these local respite facilities. Shame on RBL to even consider closing these facilities.

Anne McKillop (Ballymoney, 2019-11-22)

#1058

Veterans and their families desperately need break centres. Closing them will cause untold stress and distress.

Danielle Stafford (Liverpooo, 2019-11-22)

#1059

Important service for all veterans

Mike Moroney (Buckley, 2019-11-22)

#1061

The work they do is essential to our vetrens and our brave men and women need all the help they can get the government doesn't look after them so they need as much help as possable

Hilary Crompton (Oldham , 2019-11-22)

#1063

They provide a valuable role to help servicemen and women visit southport

James Aldred (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1065

They are needed

George Boyd (Edinburgh , 2019-11-22)

#1066

I am signing this as these centre's have meant so much to so many and provided a safe escape for families to be to together.

Paul Cussell (Peterborough, 2019-11-22)

#1070

My widowed mother has used Bennett House in the past & it is a wonderful establishment that 1000’s of ex Op Banner etc can avail of. It’s a tangible thing that needs to stay.

Craig Hogg (Antrim , 2019-11-22)

#1071

The FATCATS are screwing the moneys donated into there own pockets ( mainly NON Military money grabbing civvies ) who dont give a***** about our MILITARY PERSON who need help and recouperation ,, they have millions stashed in banks which is not being put to the needy ,,, THE FATCATS DONT GIVE A***** ABOUT OUR FORECES SERVING VETERANS .

ROBERT ARDITO (grimsby, 2019-11-22)

#1072

In Northern Ireland we have many ex service people and by the political situation here they keep low profile for safety sake.it is important that they can have breaks with people who have served the country and Queen

muriel Fleming (BALLYCLARE, 2019-11-22)

#1073

This break for ex servicemen and theie families help people so much ...

Mary Faulkner (Preston, 2019-11-22)

#1074

You have the finance from our support, do not let the service men and women down, this is one of the resources you have to provide, we are watching YOU !

Jeremy Kimber (Troon , 2019-11-22)

#1075

I care

John Pearcey (Bury, 2019-11-22)

#1079

I think these centres are needed!!

paul prentice (bury, 2019-11-22)

#1081

This is a dam right disgusting affront to our sick and inured personnel. Why do you think the public give so generously ? Let me tell you it is not so you can close respite facilities that are desperately needed and have been funded time and time again by your generous benefactors The people of these Islands .

Peter Lygo (Mere, 2019-11-22)

#1082

It is so important that the guys and girls and their families get the much needed breaks to help them cope with the stresses and strains let alone injuries that occurred while they have been protecting our country

Steve Parker (Weston super mare, 2019-11-22)

#1083

Veterans young and old deserve any help we can give and if that means a seaside break I can imagine to some families it would mean the world for them to get away from it all and reconnect.

Helen Hart (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1084

People really get the restbite which helps families and individuals with their recovery.

Simon Nicholson (Whitehaven , 2019-11-22)

#1086

My family are armed forces

James Gradon (Gloucester, 2019-11-22)

#1088

Byng House provides a direct
personal caring service that is well received and necessary. It is not a "talking shop" nor an excuse for endless case and other meetings by so-called experts.

Michael Woodward (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1089

I dont want to see these valuable resources closed when veterans are being let down by the very government who they served.

Geoffrey Burtney (Ballynahinch , 2019-11-22)

#1090

Southport branch (byng house) should not be shut down because of the amazing work it does with all people not just veterans and i have seen the difference it makes first hand having been there many times over the years through being apart of sea cadets.

Reece Johnson (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1092

It's bad enough our government letting our veterans down and turning it's back on them after many years loyal service without centres that mean so much to many having the doors closed!

Robert Oliver (Portadown, 2019-11-22)

#1093

RBL shooting themselves in the foot I think.

Paul Foulger (Great Wyrley Walsall, 2019-11-22)

#1100

I'm ex forces

Keith Packman (Basildon, 2019-11-22)

#1106

This is a vital resource for veterans.

Frances Sherratt (Leicester, 2019-11-22)

#1108

It is a valuable asset to those in need of help or respite... Perhaps cutting admin costs would be a better idea...

Peter James (Peterlee, 2019-11-22)

#1109

I have greatly benefited from a two week break at Somerset Legion House and also the Handy Van Service. All veterans and their dependants should continue to have access to these vital services.

Sam Ellicott (Lichfield , 2019-11-22)

#1112

This is a wonderful chance for many who otherwise would not be able to get a break. Rather than close them, maybe ask for a small contribution towards the cost.

Lloyd Watson (Launceston , 2019-11-22)

#1113

My auntie is passionate about this and I am going to go and speak to the veterans because I’m going to be joining the army

Kyle Ingham (Shaw, 2019-11-22)

#1114

I'm signing because while the RBL do a fantastic job helping servicemen and women, veterans and their families, closing these facilities will be detrimental to the service they can offer.

Jose Record (Weston-super-Mare, 2019-11-22)

#1117

These wonderful places afford so many needy people a place to have a break away and to meet people in similar situations. My late father and his partner enjoyed brilliant holidays in Bridlington, and I know people who have had wonderful stays in Weston and Southport - come on RBL, keep these fantastic places open.

Anne Mooney (Lichfield, 2019-11-22)

#1119

These places need to stay open.

Karl Stone Snr (Wilmslow, 2019-11-22)

#1121

I'm signing because I stayed in Somerset Legion House only last week my husband served 25 years in the RAF we did not know you could stay at such a place but I have been ill so made an inquiry. I went on my own but would have liked to go back one day with my husband. I got diagnosed with cancer the week before my stay so only managed four nights instead if seven. It was a tonic a wonderful place with caring staff. Others staying there need that respite from the outside world. Please consider keeping the one in Weston open it is a credit to the legion a flagship that shines brightly in the crown of the legion

Jane Fletcher (Gloucester, 2019-11-22)

#1123

It's disgusting !

Mike Ford (Hull, 2019-11-22)

#1126

As a poppy seller I find any reasoning to cut or closure of vital facilities, short sighted! The future is continuing provision to those in need, not trying to appease the auditors!

Brian Thorniley (Hereford, 2019-11-22)

#1127

My family had a wonderful break away here and will be such a shame if it closes, the activities they put on were great and the evening entertainment was fab for the kids.

Holli Lloyd-Taberer (Plymouth, 2019-11-22)

#1128

This centre provides an invaluable holiday for families who need it.

Jennifer Coombes (Odiham, 2019-11-22)

#1131

This homes are needed for the ex service people take a break

Robert Taylor (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1134

This is disgraceful of the RBL to be penny pinching with facilities for ex service personnel. Pay the full time directors less or even lay off a few of them.

Ian Rutherford (Middlesbrough , 2019-11-22)

#1136

j stewart

James Stewart (belfast, 2019-11-22)

#1137

My father, WW2 soldier, used to holiday here and it was somewhere he felt comfortable and welcomed.

Jocelyn Lloyd (Walsall , 2019-11-22)

#1138

I’m ex service myself and there is a need for this.

Fergy Massey (York, 2019-11-22)

#1141

Signing because I have a friend who has benefitted greatly. From breaks offered.

Marion_maxwell@btinternet.com Maxwell (Enniskillen, 2019-11-22)

#1143

I think it's an outrage

Mark Draper (Southport, 2019-11-22)

#1145

These respite houses are needed.. RBL penny pinching..

Adrian Summers (Bournemouth , 2019-11-22)

#1146

My wife is a disabled veteran and these breaks provide a welcome respite from her daily grind to deal with her pain and mental health. RBL get million of pounds per year. Less needs to be spent on call centres and executive staff and more on the veterans for whom the charity was originally set up.

GARY Hutton (Doncaster , 2019-11-22)

#1149

To stop closure of the RBL four respite homes

Peter Ffitch (Lisburn, 2019-11-22)

#1153

I'm a son of a WW2 RAF veteran now deceased

Stephen Alan Greer (Londonderry , 2019-11-22)

#1156

This is so invaluable...

Susan Edwards (Ashton under Lyne , 2019-11-22)

#1159

The money they have is an outrage, what decent charity has over 100 million in the bank are shutting places like this down.

Barry Everall (London, 2019-11-22)

#1160

As a veteran ,I think we deserve help when we require it and these homes help

Russell Barclay (Glenrothes , 2019-11-22)

#1161

We need to show these veterans that we all care.

Michelle Fletcher (Badminton , 2019-11-22)

#1162

I am signing this because I have been lucky enough to benefit from their respite at somerset legion house and it is the only break me and my husband have had , my husband suffers from chronic ptsd and this break was very beneficial to both of us and great for my husband to be able to mix with ex service people who understood what we have to go through .

elaine hudson (london, 2019-11-22)

#1163

family members in past in forces.

Tanya Morrow (Carrickfergus, 2019-11-22)

#1166

There is a need for these centres why close them when they are so much used.

Christopher Lincoln (Hinckley , 2019-11-22)

#1168

Venues like this are few and far between and their affect is huge on those who get to visit and use them

Barry Collings (Weston-super-Mare , 2019-11-22)

#1170

As a former RBL Welfare Case Worker, I arranged for veterans to attend and they all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Not all veterans can afford holidays

David Davis (Ivybridge, 2019-11-22)

#1171

Because I stayed at byng house and they do a great service to veterans

Paul Fox (Crewe, 2019-11-22)

#1174

Our service men & women serve to protect us, putting their lives on the line in the process. The very least they deserve is somewhere that provides respite when the time comes that they needed it. I understand the need to provide more care but that needs to be in addition to current provisions not at the cost of.

Sarah-Jane Vowles (Weston-super-Mare, 2019-11-22)

#1176

Bennet house brings joy to my family when we go to visit every two years or so. The service and food is great and the activities brings families together . It’s a lovely break away

Annissa Hazley (Newry, 2019-11-22)

#1177

This is important. We need to help all serviceman

Jo Street (Bristol, 2019-11-22)

#1179

I am a veteran who could benefit from a respite break

Anita Bartram (Kirkbynoorside, 2019-11-22)

#1180

They gave, so we must reciprocate. Veterans deserve our support.

David Howes (Saltburn, 2019-11-22)

#1182

It's disgusting that this is even being considered.

Tracy Hurst (Morecambe , 2019-11-22)

#1184

This is a lifeline for many people Please keep it open

Linda Broadhurst (Crewe, 2019-11-22)

#1190

without the poppy breaks I and my
disabled wife would not have any

Jim Butler (woodley READING, 2019-11-22)

#1191
