#603

It is the behavior of the people making sexist comments, not the name of the beer. They will find another way to sexist even if the name changes

Todd Parker (Dartmouth , 2019-11-27)

#604

the claim against the marketing campaign only serves to trivialize real instances of misogyny and abuse of women

Randy Hudston (Nine Mile River, 2019-11-27)

#608

This is foolish that it’s gone this far based on a snowflake who obviously needs to move home and she’s not mature enough to be in society

Sarah Robichaud-Brown (Enfield, 2019-11-27)

#613

People are offended by literally everything & it's effing ridiculous. Love your beer.

Angela Jackson (Halifax, 2019-11-27)

#617

I’m signing this because people need to grow up and just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean it’s wrong.

Chris Hewitt (Westphal, 2019-11-27)

#621

This is ridiculous. The marketing is not offensive.

Travis Rogers (Enfield , 2019-11-27)

#623

Its a good beer and there are guys that have dirty blonde hair so its not all about women . People need to stop this crazy thinking

Donna Morrisey (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#626

It's about the beer it's blonde!

Jeanna McAvoy (Lower Sackville, 2019-11-27)

#634

It's a name of a hair colour. it's a name of a beer. The people who are so offended by this never lived through the 70's or 80's or 90's things were way more offensive then...

Maurice Gautreau (DARTMOUTH, 2019-11-27)

#635

There is nothing wrong with the name of the beer I work as a bartendar and i sell the product dont see what all the whining is aout

Paula Milne (east preston, 2019-11-27)

#637

Im signing this becuase I believe it is absolutley ridiculous what nine lochs is being accused of. The accuser wants nothing more then attention and all the other organizations jumping on the bandwagon are only doing so to knock the competition down a peg. What a joke

Bill Cochrane (Dartmouth , 2019-11-27)

#644

People are getting out of hand. They need to look at the intent behind the words. Not just the words

Kelli Goudey (Dartmouth , 2019-11-27)

#645

I am signing because it's time we started living our lives - not walking on eggshells because of all the 'snowflakes' who are offend by everything people say and so!!!

Marilyn Stanley (Beaver Bank, 2019-11-27)

#647

Dirty Blonde is a colour and nothing more. If someone thinks it applies only to women and is derogatory, then that person has a severe problem and should seek help.

Pat Singer (Chemainus, 2019-11-27)

#649

I don't agree with cancel culture and the play on words is an individual interpretation. I have not read one single opinion in support of the offense. The support is with Nine Locks.

Shelly Stone (Halifax, 2019-11-27)

#661

This is rediculous. Dirty blonde is a brewing term. My hair color is described as dirty blonde and there is no outrage.

Glenn Robinson (Middle Sackville , 2019-11-27)

#662

I think it's not offence

Jeanette Serroul Forrest (North Sydney, 2019-11-27)

Sometimes it's just stupid to be politically correct

BRIAN BAILEY (MIDDLE SACKVILLE , 2019-11-27)

#664

People have to stop their nonsense over every little thing

Wendy Dulude (Fall River, 2019-11-27)

#666

People have to get a sense of humour - not every statement is an insult - I enjoyed the ads and I'm older than dirt!!!!

Judi Garner (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#667

I'm signing because I think this is ridiculous. People need to relax.

Monette McCue (Halifax, 2019-11-27)

#671

I am signing because I see nothing wrong. I the term" dirty blonde" has nothing to do with sex. It is a description as in " the guy with the dirty blonde hair ordered the beer" .

Jan Blackmore (Porters lake , 2019-11-27)

#688

The poor girl who started this needed some attention :(

Patrick Fox (Halifax, 2019-11-27)

#690

This is absolutely ridiculous. It's a name of beer. If you cant be in the catering industry....become a stripper! Keep on keeping on nine locks. We love you all the way from the UK.

Jeff Sponagle (Eastleigh , 2019-11-27)

#693

This is ridiculous. People need to go on with their lives and not constantly look for things that offend them.

Michael Murphy (Dartmouth , 2019-11-27)

#694

I am tired of people ruining everything. Plus causing problems for local small business. The term "Dirty Blonde" has been used to describe hair colour for as long as I can remember and likely a long before that. So why is it an issue now? Because its attached to alcohol and not hair? Or just because some people just want something new to be offended by.

Lacey Zwicker (Windsor, 2019-11-27)

#698

I'm a dirty blond. Get over it.

Susan Blaire (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#703

I am signing this because this is just harmless fun. I drink Nine Locks beer and think it is great.

Lynda Raine (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#704

The rest of us dirty blonds need to speak up. This poor girl, getting the attention she so craved.

Kim Lawton (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#706

This is over the top , ridiculous . Over the top, over sensitive stupidity

Ritchie Currie (Nova Scotia , 2019-11-27)

#707

The term Dirty Blonde is talking about a hair colour anyone who thinks otherwise needs to go back to school.

Allison Merrick (HAlifax, 2019-11-27)

#708

I use to love Good Robot beer. Nine Locks all the way now.

Jason Gaudett (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#710

This complaint is ridiculous. It’s beer ..

Tracey MacKay (Halifax , 2019-11-27)

#714

Because I think some people take life too seriously and everyone seems out to get everyone and no one has a sense of humour anymore. Well I still do. Good luck.

Glenda MacDonald (Lawrencetown , 2019-11-27)

#716

I do not see how the name of this Craft Beer can be offensive when there are plenty of other alcoholic names out there that are way worse.
Captain Morgan for example houses hundreds of Slaves. People order shots called Blow Jobs, Panty Twisters, White Russians and Black Russians just to name a few.
The female who started the outcry is also rumoured to be a part of the competition and in my opinion should not be in the bar industry if she can’t handle the slander that comes with it.

The beer itself is lovely. It has a slightly cloudy appearance that could also be judged as Dirty Blonde in colour.

Michelle Walker (Lawrencetown, 2019-11-27)

#720

I belive it isnt sexist there are soo many other things going on in the world .

Tanya Whittle (Eastern passage , 2019-11-27)

#721

It’s neither offensive or politically incorrect.
I truly believe that people are way too serious. And I find that offensive. So now what?? Lol

Lori Gabrieau (Fletcher’s Lake , 2019-11-27)

#723

This is ridiculous issue which has no place even being considered! Starbucks sells Blonde coffee, but no one complains of about that. Grow up folks and put your energy into something important!

Elizabeth Cram (Eastern Passage , 2019-11-27)

#724

This is ridiculous!

Lydia Bowie (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#726

No offence taken by the name “DirtyBlond”. It’s not derogatory in any way. It describes a hair color.

Deleta Terry (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#729

Have no idea what offends them. Dirty blonde could refer to male, female, dog's hair, whatever. It is a getting out of hand.

Carol Bass (Dartmouth, 2019-11-27)

#731

I’m signing this because I think this issue is ridiculous

Juanita Cooper (Dartmouth , 2019-11-27)

#733

There is nothing wrong with the name of the beer. People are just looking for anything to complain about and need to chill.

Christine Hatcher (Dartmouth , 2019-11-27)

Nicole Jarrett (Halifax, 2019-11-28)

#751

I think this stupid!! I support Nine locks

Stephanie Baker (Dartmouth , 2019-11-28)

#752

It’s ridiculous that some people are offended by something they claim is derogatory to women when in none of the advertising shows women in any way shape or form. It’s just a beer and clever advertising. Period

Christine Gaetz (Dartmouth , 2019-11-28)

#755

People have gone way to overboard with this sensitivity and being offended It’s just a name Relax people

Carol Chiasson (Bedford , 2019-11-28)

#756

I think this is a fabulous campaign and those that take offence are being way too sensitive.

Cheryl Freeman (Halifax, 2019-11-28)

#757

This is not offensive, sexist or insulting. Imagine how many drinks would need to be renamed in order to not 'offend' anyone!!

Karen Langlois (Dartmouth, 2019-11-28)

#760

I think the name of this brew is in no way sexist, misogynistic or insulting. Keep the name and do not let "the tail wag the dog"!!!

Beverley Josey (Musquodoboit Harbour, 2019-11-28)

#764

I’m a woman, and a mother with naturally “dirty blonde” hair and I just so happen to be from Dartmouth. I saw humour in the name and the t-shirt- if nothing else. Crack a dirty blonde and lighten up people.

Amy Tobin (Dartmouth , 2019-11-28)

#766

It's bullshit what's happening here. People have to grow up. This country is falling apart. It's ironic she works for a competitor.

Craig Morrison (Glace Bay , 2019-11-28)

#769

There should be more important things to be offended by! It’s a name of a drink. Maybe we Should rename Black Russian and White Russian as well. What about sex on the beach or blow job drinks. This is ridiculous!!!

Lynn Deveau (Dartmouth , 2019-11-28)

#772

I love the beer and I think is crazy how far people are taking the smallest of things. It’s a cloudy blond beer and the name dirty blond is a clever name.

Matthew Briand (Dartmouth, 2019-11-28)

#774

It is shame that people get hurt feelings over such things. Let Nine Locks Brewing go about their business.

Heather MacDonald (Halifax, 2019-11-28)

#776

I believe in the right to have a sense of humor

Trace MacDonald (Fall river , 2019-11-28)

#779

The ignorance of some customers is not caused by or the fault of the name of a beverage!

Michelle Spencer (Dartmouth , 2019-11-28)

#780

I think it is just a name for a beer and is no is degrading . Blonde is a type of beer how did this get to be a out hair color or sex. Get real people put your energy in to feed or housing the homeless not complaining about a beer

Shelley Morgan (Beaverbank, 2019-11-28)

#783

There is plenty of REAL misogyny in the world. This is not that. Sexualising something that was never sexual just so you can claim offense is ridiculous. Offended? Not a bit. In fact, I went to their shop today and bought 2 beers: Frig Off...Dirty Blonde. Still not offended.

Bobbi Zahra (Halifax, 2019-11-28)

#785

Dirty blonde is a hair colour! People are ridiculous! It’s a great beer! Nine locks is a great community sponsor and partner! Guys drinking in bars will be inappropriate to servers no matter what the beer name is!!!!

Krista Jansen (Halifax , 2019-11-28)

#787

I’m sick of people being offended by anything. Could a dirty blonde from Dartmouth also be male? Enough with the over top #metoo movement. It has its place for people who have suffered real issues but simply a name is brutal. Should hooters change its name?

Jennifer Crouse (Timberlea, 2019-11-28)

#797

I'm tired of people wasting their concern on the ridiculous. This is ridiculous.

Christine Greene (Dartmouth , 2019-11-28)

#800

This is an obvious witch hunt in the craft brewing industry of NS to attack a successful brewery for their product and business.
I am personally not offended by the campaign. While I am a man and not a "dirty blond" I am sure hundreds if not thousands of women will sign this petition in solidarity for the staff and owners of Nine Locks.
It is a gutless, cowardly use of the Social Justice Warrior mentality to undermine a local business in Nova Scotia to hopefully better their standing within the Craft Beer Association.
