Grant Rosaria Silva, my mother a returning permanent resident visa or a tourist visa. Whichever one reunites our family.

I’m signing because this woman has followed all the rules to enter legally into this country. She was given permanent residency and has now had it ripped from her. This is immoral and wrong. She has valid medical reasons to stay in Brasil for a time, and she should be allowed to return to the US immediately and without question.

Heather Banks (Dallas, Ga, 2019-12-04)

This is a ridiculous bureaucratic rule which doesn’t consider the humans involved in the outcome. Please apply some common sense and do the right thing to let her back into US

I’m signing to take a stand with the Silva Family.

I’m from the “leftest” of the left states and don’t agree with the liberal thinking regarding immigration. We want to hand out citizenship, medical and all basic citizen rights like it’s candy but we turn our back on someone that did it right, had her green card and just wants to come back with her family?! This family is one of the most amazing group of individuals that have changed many lives and urge those around them to think and love whole heartedly! They just want to be together! How dare anyone deny this woman her LEGAL RIGHT to return to the US because she went home FOR A MEDICAL ISSUE for someone’s version of “too long”?!? So she wasn’t in the US and you want to punish her but it’s ok to offer free college and voting right to those living in the US ILLEGALLY?!?

And we wonder why our country has gone to shit....

The immigration system is beyond broken. Those coming illegal are rewarded and those trying to come legally are denied and put through nonsense. This officer is on a power trip and should have done the right thing for this elderly woman. She is loosing precious years away from her family. It’s shameful.

Melannie Williams (Canton, 2019-12-04)

My children hope to have their grandmother be able to live with them. The system is disgusting in separating us as a family.

Paige Silva (Woodstock , 2019-12-04)

They followed the immigration laws and she should be allowed to come to USA

Rosaria should be allowed to return to the USA. Enzo Silva s my son in law. He and my daughter, Paige Hall Silva have correctly applied for his citizenship and it was granted. He is a United States citizen and is properly applying for his mother's return. She has lived here before and there is NO REASON she should not be here again. Please review and grant her this privilege.

Brenda Hall (Woodstock, 2019-12-04)

I believe in treating people the way you would want to be treated and this family has done everything according to the law and still being treated unfairly! This is a model family that are pillars to our community in a small area in Cherokee County Georgia!

Paige Prather (Ball Ground, 2019-12-04)

I have met and spent time with this sweet mom. She is trying to enter the country the legal and right way. She deserves to be loved and cared for by her family who reside in the US as citizens.

Sarah Edwards (Canton, 2019-12-04)

While we are letting in the illegal ones and allowing them to stay, people like this kind lady just want to come here legally and be with their family. Our system is so broken. Reward the criminals and penalize the ones following the rules.

Kendra Carter (Canton, 2019-12-04)

#27

Family should be able to be together and visit.

Sarah Calvert (Woodstock , 2019-12-04)

Im signing because it's ridiculous that an American citizen can't even get an appointment with the consulate to discuss why her mother in law in not being allowed entry even though she's a green card hold.... ridiculous!

Eva May (Woodbridge, 2019-12-04)

Families have a right to be together. It is unfair and unjust how this family is completely being disregarded, even though they are following the proper process. They have shown they are willing to care for her every need. Why would you not let her be with her family in her later years of life? She adds value and meaning to American Citizens and should be thoroughly considered for visa instead of being dismissed.

Allison Talley (Canton, 2019-12-04)

A family should be reunited. This is absurd to not allow this.

Alexi Strish (Alpharetta , 2019-12-04)

I’m signing because Rosaria Silva deserves to be given her green card back and granted entrance to the US.

Heather Adona (Bothell, 2019-12-04)

Enzo’s mom should be allowed to be with their family.

It seems a real injustice has been done to Rosária Silva and I support her permanent resident visa be REINSTATED. The fact she had it once and it was taken away due to medical issues is a travesty!

Angela Albert (Woodstock, 2019-12-04)

This person was treated poorly and is a permanent resident. She should be allowed to re-enter and not have to reapply. She was absent from US for health reasons, Let her back in.

Paula Watson (Lehi, 2019-12-04)

#57

I'm signing because the Silvas are kind and upstanding citizens of the US. They have been thru the process many times and believe that their mother should have been granted stay for her green card. I believe that the laws and processes need to be reviewed and unbiased people employed that decide the future of citizenship. It is also appalling that a US Citizen is not allowed to enter the US Consulate!

Rebecca Calkins (Canton, 2019-12-04)

#59

This treatment is unfair and unjustified.

Kati Goins (Newburgh, 2019-12-04)

The Silva family would like to bring Rosaria back to the U.S. to live with them. She wrongly had her valid visa removed and there is no reason she should be denied. The family has followed all the laws.

Laura Bryan (Carrollton , 2019-12-04)

#63

The Silva family is not asking for special treatment, they are simply asking to be reunited as a family -- one that is a productive, contributing, and caring family in their community!

Tara Degler (West Grove, 2019-12-04)

#67

I support families and LEGAL immigration.

Darlene Bush (Eufaula , 2019-12-04)

This is a family that should continue to be together. Rosária Silva is no risk, no danger. Her US citizen grandchildren, however, will benefit from her presence and love. She was awarded a green card before and has proven she is not abusing US services. There is no reason to deny her stay.

Gail Edington (Des Plaines, 2019-12-04)

Medical reasons should be a good reason to leave the country!! This whole thing is a big money racket!! The government is just trying tto squeeze more money out of these people!! I believe in coming to the U.S. the right way, but this whole situation gives me a little guess at why not all come here legally!! Maybe it is because of all the nonsense they have to go through to do it the right way????!!!

Vanessa Henson (Jasper, 2019-12-04)

Although I don’t personally know the family, a very good friend of mine can vouch for the family and that all of the events listed are true. This is a travesty. Give the Grandmother her hard earned green card back so she can live with the family , US citizens, who take care of her.

Susan Lumpkin (Ball Ground , 2019-12-04)

This family has followed the law of the land in good faith for years. Their story is very touching. Paige and Enzo paid the monetary amounts according to the immigration laws, followed the rules, and waited until the government granted them the right to live together in our country as husband and wife. Enzo went through the hoops to become a citizen of our great country. His mother needs to be with her family in America. Please listen to him and grant his mother the right to live with her son. They’ve done everything legally and are not one of the the millions of illegals in our country. To denying them the request for their mother would be a sad day in our country.

Marylin Garrett (Waleska, 2019-12-04)

This is wrong - this is a good family - a hard working American family - living with 3 generations - paying taxes and taking care of family.

cynthia aigeltinger (landenberg, 2019-12-04)

#79

I believe she should have the ability to move back here - especially since she had her permanent resident green card. It’s not fair that people who criminally enter this country are given amnesty, but a citizen with green card in hand is refused entry back into the country. It’s a shame!

Leisa Wilkie (Canton , 2019-12-04)

#82

Those who follow the law should be granted what the law allows. Reunite this family. They have done everything that has been asked of them.

Jeannie Johnson (Cumming, 2019-12-04)

I believe separating families is wrong.

Good people who go about entering our country the right and legal way should be supported in whole.

Ken Calkins (Canton, 2019-12-05)

Because I think the Silva family is an amazing family! Family means the world to them! Enzo loves his mother very dearly and wants her to be part of their lives. They’re trying to do this legally where most people do it illegally and I think that should count for something!!

Kelley Zisser (Waleska , 2019-12-05)

#98

We know the Silva family and all they are trying to do is unite their family. They will provide anything she needs and should be able to spend the rest of her years United with her children and grandchildren!

Monica Selby (Canton, 2019-12-05)

I want the family of 3 generations to be reunited and be able to have Enzo’s mother with them in the US.

Jennifer McCaskill (Decatur, 2019-12-07)

This is a very sweet and loving family who only want to care for their elderly mother. It seems so inhuman to force them to be apart. Please reconsider.

Sherry Dennis (Canton , 2019-12-07)

#114

I’m a U.S. citizen who believes that families belong together. The Silva family has capably demonstrated their willingness and ability to care for Enzo’s mother.

I’ve known Enzo, Rosaria’s son, for almost eight years and he is a standup human being. Loving, caring and sincere, the product of great parenting. Having met Rosaria, even though only once, she needed only see how much I love her son (as a brother), in order to extend her immediate love to me. We need more people like her in this country, for it’s people like her, who make this country great.

Let families be together. It´s quite simple.

Rachel Kishor Kishori (Atlanta, 2020-08-30)

#122

family ties are important and families should be allowed to be together. Moreover, officers representing bureaucracies should remember that we are all human beings first.
I am British and had similar difficulties before I was finally able to bring my widowed mother to live with me in the UK.
