I think it’s really important that we are as cautious as we can be in the midst of this crisis! Although I may not be at high risk and may not get very sick if I were to contract the virus, there are so many people who are at great risk that I could pass it too! We all need to work together to keep our country and families safe and we can only do that by limiting opportunities for the virus to be spread!!

Kaylah Aleman (Salt Lake City, 2020-03-16)

Social Distancing is the number one thing we can right now to fight the Coronavirus pandemic. We need to learn from the crisis in other countries who are steps ahead of us where doctors are having to choose who to let die because there aren’t enough beds, ventilators, respirators, equipment, etc. and not enough masks and protective gear to even protect themselves. It will no longer be deadly to elderly with underlying conditions but to the healthy young.

Peggy Dolkas (Auburn , 2020-03-16)

I’m signing because I’m a member of the arts and It’s important to make the public aware of what’s about to happen to the arts and everyone involved. Katie x x

Because I completely support this cause

Jaime Gomez (San Francisco , 2020-03-16)

It’s the right thing to do for everyone. In addition I’m 66 years old and although quite active and healthy, remain in a high risk group because of age. We all need to do our part

Joanne Rupinskas (Hideout , 2020-03-16)

I support the arts. I’m currently involved in a local production this upcoming April. We are a very small local academy. We are also nonprofit. If we aren’t able to perform our show thousands of dollars will be lost. We need to support the arts because I don’t know if I’d be here today without dance/music etc.

Madisen Liddell (West jordan, 2020-03-16)

I am the Owner/Artistic Director of a Classical Ballet School standing in solidarity with my colleagues to help #flattenthecurve. This campaign will allow me to get the important information out to my students, parents and community. Thank you for offering the opportunity! Stay safe and well as we all make our way through these uncharted waters.

Kim Rausch (Pittsburgh, 2020-03-16)

This is so important and people aren’t taking it seriously enough. I want to help as much as I can.

Rachel Hultquist (Gulf Breeze, 2020-03-17)

I’m signing because I am a type 1 diabetic which means i am apart of the high risk list. I am a ballet dancer, teacher and a bartender so my life revolves around large crowds but all of that has come to a screeching halt. Not that it was all because my own choice but I will gladly oblige and do my part in social distancing.

Britta Albertson (Dallas, 2020-03-17)

I believe social distancing is important and something we all need to work together to do. We are stronger when working together. And the more we practice social distancing now the quicker we will recover.

This virus and its consequences need to be taken seriously.

Emily Potter (Denver, 2020-03-17)

Isolation is incredibly important at this time to help the spread of the Coronavirus. I believe as artists, this time is valuable. Although it may seem a challenge to dance remotely, we have tools now— the internet— which we can use to share our art and grow as a community!

Olivia Cole (Sonoma, 2020-03-18)

#65

We are trying our best at work to practice social distancing. Because I am one of those who must still work, I am signing so that I practice whole heartedly within my home to reduce the spread while my work still stays open.

Amber Sargent (Whitby, 2020-03-18)

1. It’s the right thing to do;
2. I’m a dance teacher w/ an autoimmune disease;
3. The longer this lasts the harder it is on all of us financially (especially, but in other ways too); and
4. Artists have always been leaders.

Leigh Brockman Horowitz (St. Louis, 2020-03-18)

We need to slow the spread for the most vulnerable among us. My mom has compromised health, and this virus could be deadly to her. I worry more about that, that about getting it myself. I have been staying home, and practicing social distancing. I hope everyone will do the same.

Katie Pollard (Riverton, 2020-03-19)

I don’t dance, but have a life long love of the ballet world. I follow Ali’s site, and passed on details to my 13 year old
Niece who is at home isolating in London. She is missing her dance classes and would love to join in. Thank you so much for raising this awareness and for giving so selflessly.

My parents live with us. I want my daughter to continue to grow up with them. Protecting my family’s health is paramount.

Jacqueline Straughan (Las Vegas, 2020-03-27)

#112

Because I see too many people being cavalier about this pandemic. Without having the equipment to protect our medical providers, necessary amounts of equipment for advanced life support for those in critical condition from the virus, without approved medicines for symptom management or a vaccine, we must provide herd immunity and protection, and the only way to do that is through social distancing and staying at home.
I want to be a part of a larger campaign that can have more impact than I can alone. We are stronger together.

Leigh Grant (Lancaster , 2020-03-27)

#114

This matters! Art matters! I want to go back to watching lovely art at the Capitol Theater!
