As a parent of two young children in King Henry, my business has equally been affected by the unprecedented Covid-19 and to be asked to be full fees at this time should be reconsidered considering the fact that children are not attending school and the online provision puts the onus on me to teach them. I appreciate the work of the teaching staff however, every business is looking into their variable cost at this time and making adjustments and savings were possible. I will like similar to be done with the school.

Joy Ososanya (Coventry , 2020-03-31)

#63

I'm signing because I believe CSF is in breach of contract with requesting summer fees at KHP.

These are unprecedented times and the school should look at reducing it's fees. My costs have increased with my kids at home yet my income has not and will be squeezed like many other parents at the School.

We are going through financial hardship and think its unfair the school is charging fees at 100%
The education provided is not sufficient and meal fees are not refunded.

The contract clearly state that fees are not payable when services have not been provided.

A Parent of a student in KHPS. letters to KHPS parents contained so many flawed logic... to name a few - 1. Parents pay to sustain the school?? NO! we pay to acquire a service provided to our kids. Parents are not your investors, period. As your customers, we have no responsibility to provide a good cash flow, nor should we be concerned about your monthly outgoing. 2. it was a terrible attempt to even try to use compassionate grounds to reason that, paying customers are taking care those who are struggling!!! this one is the most ridiculous and frankly, laughable! All parents are struggling! KHPS is a school, who sells private education as a service. it is not a charity that takes donations and redistribute resource to those who need them, so don't pretend to be one!

Communications kept talking about a fee structure based on how your competitor charge. Since when education has sunk to commodity goods price-war level? What’s next? A list of facilities available from the school, side by side with another school in the region? So parents should start shopping for a school just like buying an iphone? If this is the understanding of the value proposition of education from the governing board, I am scared of sending my kids there! This culture filters down to management, staff, and students. I’m sure they will be losing key competitiveness, along with good staff pretty soon. Don't’ even want to assume what it could mean to our children, if new comers may embrace or become submissive to this culture.

i agree with all that has been said about charges whilst school is closed

We have children at both Bablake and King Henrys and do not accept that the foundation are unable to reduce fees significantly for the weeks ahead given the difficulties and uncertainty all parents are facing.

The foundation is in breach of contract with parents by failing to provision adequate educational services with a largely reduced offering, however despite this, still expect parents to pay full fees??

My daughter is studying at KHPS.

Buyu Lu (Coventry, 2020-03-31)

It was not our wish nor the schools wishes for the schools to close. Therefore why do we have to pay fees when our kids are out of school for the whole term.

Memory Musekiwa (Walsall, 2020-03-31)

#197

I am a fee paying parent with two pupils at King Henry’s VIII School and support this action., as we've not been given any the options for this complicated issue. If reductions are implemented future fees need to be considered and capped.
