I believe that people should adhere to the government regulations and not do thier own things. The government expressly stated that grade 7 and 12 will open 1st so it doesn't make sense for
other grades to open without a go ahead from the government

OR Tambo is a hotspot area, the numbers keep increasing it would be risky for my child to go to school, its better for the school to keep sending us work until this Pandemic subsides.

I'm signing because I don't want to send my child to school until it is safe to do so

Not enough time was given for the notice of reopening for the other grades. The school hasn't highlighted what measures it will ensure daily to keep our kids health safe while in their care.

We fear for the lives of our little ones who will probably not even maintain that social distancing. 💔

I'm worried about the safety of my child. I believe it's still early for them to go back to school. He's travelling by a public transport as well.

The online lessons will be suitable for him

We as parents, were not consulted when you made the decision that our kids must reopen schools on the 1st of June, we could have made an input in crafting a way forward. It make no sense that for grade 1,2,3,4 to go back to just when winter is starting.

Im very much concerned about sending my little kids of age 7 to school for grade 2 on the 1st of June 2020 while the president of South Africa said during his address, only grade 7's and grade 12's will start resuming school on the 1st of June 2020. Reason is we have not seen it working with the 1st older group 1st. Besides grade 2 will not be writting any major examination any time soon so i dont see it being any emergency to phase them in so fast rather that waiting for the national phasing of learners to school after they noted that it is indeed working for the 1st group. Another reason is that numbers for covid infections are rising very fast at the moment so it so emotional and makes us anxious to send such small kids to school when they cant even understand the concept of safe health awareness that is important for covid safety.

Nosibusiso Sandlana-Ngcobozi (Mthatha, 2020-05-28)

The president announced grades 12 to 7. What are the precautions taken by the school to even open to the below grades. Poor communication by the school!
